  1. Looking at the newer (I mean that in a side-grading manner, not better or worse) video reminds me of the first "airtime" hill on Wild Thing. Airtime on the way down in the back seat, airtime on the way up in the front seat, and barely anything in the middle. I hope I'm wrong, but from the way you can predict forces on rides, I don't think SFMM is going to let the ride get much faster as to not scare away some of their audience with "extreme forces" like we saw with the "softer wheels" debate over on the Hersheypark thread a while ago. Weirdly enough, this actually makes me more excited about this ride! If what I'm saying is true (keep in mind that I could be wrong), then the ride is going to have a much better re-ridable quality.
  2. I may have already posted on this thread, but my opinion has changed. Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm is an absolute beast when it comes to out of control feeling. That's what makes a ride most intense for me, and it definitely surpassed Dueling Dragons and X2 in that matter. Even though the MCBR breaks the flow of the ride, speed just keeps coming out of nowhere on that thing.
  3. I really fail to see why people are giving a damn about this whole "sideways camera" fiasco. The video is serviceable to me at the very least and shows that the ride is testing. It wasn't made to do anything else. The trains do look a little slow, but remember the construction for Kingda Ka? For the longest time that thing could barely make it up the spire, and now it's giving out mild ejector air in the front and back seats. I know FT has a different launching system, but my point is simply this: Pretty much all launching coasters speed up by the opening day. I'm not worried about it at all. And people are still complaining about SFMM having no airtime? There's always way more to that when it comes to coasters. And if you really don't see much else in them, there's always the back seat of Apocalypse waiting for you.
  4. I didn't say anything about hackers. :I There are hardly any at all. I've never run into one.
  5. I'm astonished that nobody has made a thread like this before, now that Minecraft is as popular as it is. I decided to try and create a boardwalk in Minecraft today, and with it, I'm going to create lots and lots of static flat rides/tracked rides. I made a few prototypes today, and that's what I'm here to show you guys: (In the meantime, post your own here (minecart tracks or models)) This is what I had in mind in terms of a roller coaster. I want the park to be in good detail, so I'm going to have to make it huge for that to work. The wheels are the only thing that aren't up to my standards on this one. One more view from the back with a bit of the boardwalk base in the background. I also tried making a less detailed version that was to scale with the player. I may use this for the start of it.
  6. I had no idea this thing existed! Looks amazing! Looks like it could easily be the third part of the Smiler; the launch it never had.
  7. I just got it from a friend for the PS3, and I have MW3 as well. I've also played both of the Black Ops games, so hopefully my opinion will mean something when I say it's the worst that I've played. Good AI, but terribly unfair level design that ruins it. The story was meant to be taken seriously, but since the story is told through flashbacks, it's impossible to get attached to the characters or settings before it throws you in a completely different location as a different person. There is a "shocking" moment of the game, but it's ruined by this and that makes the plot a total bust for me. Gunplay is okay, but the fact that your crosshair snaps to enemies is completely abusable and the game no longer becomes hard on any difficulty. Online multiplayer is horrifically unbalanced (I.E. when you get a kill streak of X amount, you get a perk that makes it much easier to get kill streaks which makes it much much easier to get another perk, and it keeps going), so you pretty much need to have several friends who have the game to enjoy it and not be killed by spawn campers and the jackasses with UAVs. Split screen multiplayer is the only good thing I've gotten out of this game. If you don't have two or more controllers, I say avoid this game. And what's even weirder, I loved MW3. It was so ridiculously over-the-top that it was almost meant to not be taken seriously, and I find that way more enjoyable. CoD4 was trying to be realistic and ended up being lame, and MW3 threw you into tanks and crashing Ospreys the first chance it got, and that's what made it fun.
  8. ^Do you suppose that's Alton's tribute to the rumor?
  9. Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that the new expansion doesn't disappoint.
  10. Then the terrible lack of variety in American parks would cause several to go bankrupt and be SBNO while the rest would undergo renovations. Probably. What if Call of Duty 4 was the last in the series?
  11. A Hadoken. Now that I think of it, the ride operators would be a little more interesting if they said that before dispatch. Would you rather listen to a Justin Bieber album twice in a row or a Selena Gomez album twice in a row?
  12. ^Oh goodness I hope you're right. That would kick ass on SO many levels. Imagine what they could do with the concepts behind the Red Death, the Pendulum, the Raven, and that's just naming a few of what could come out of that if this rumor is true.
  13. ^For the last time, there is no "World's First" element. It's a "World's First" roller coaster, meaning it's the first to have 14 inversions in a single circuit. They never truly confirmed an original element, and even if they did, it would most likely be the interlocking Batwing and Cobra Roll.
  14. Too short. With any luck I'd be 53 inches tall. Would you rather go to a convention or an exposition?
  15. Then its novelty of being obscure would be lost and it wouldn't be as interesting. Sounds like the synopsis to a J. J. Abrhams film or something. What if Arrow Dynamics was still in business?
  16. Considering their coasters entirely occupy my top 3 wooden coasters list, I'd say "yes". Do you like CCI?
  17. F***ing hell, dude. Just read the BBCode FAQ and don't participate in the thread until you learn how. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/faq.php?mode=bbcode Continuing on (again),
  18. Dumb name, no backwards compatibility, there's the same old bulls*** we dealt with when the original 360 debuted concerning the "core system" setups, and if I end up getting tangled in this next generation, I'm definitely sticking to the PS4.
  19. Perhaps the delayed opening time is to allow time for more testing, perhaps to be able to get it to "duel" like this thread mentioned a few pages back. That isn't out of the question, is it?
  20. Even if the ride is "violent", I don't have any problem with it. It never hurts to ride if you get the restraints on right, and although the trains rumble around a lot (the ride isn't rattly or bumpy from what I've noticed), it kind of adds to the chaotic nature and theme of the ride. It's a great ride; I still don't see why so many people don't like it.
  21. That question doesn't make any sense. "Eternally" means without end, so the second option wouldn't matter at all. So I pick that one. Minecraft or Terraria?
  22. My dad took me on a surprise trip to Cedar Point when I was ten. My first rides on Magnum, Wicked Twister, and Corkscrew got me hooked.
  23. Ye Have you ever ridden a Maurer Sky Loop?
  24. Granted, but Sie können nicht verstehen, was Sie sprechen. I wish Bing would stop being annoying.
