Time Machine. Darien Lake could really use a Sit Down. B&M Sit Downs or B&M Standups?
-
Because ACE is in charge of that, I say no. Do you make "artsy" shots at amusement parks whenever you go?

I think I've finally figured this out: I suck at almost everything in RCT2 except for making good layouts. I got this idea from a friend, and although I know it's been done before, I'm taking the time to build an entire park full of my take on the "microcoaster" craze. My goal is to eventually fill an entire sandbox scenario with them, all the while releasing download links to you guys via the Track Exchange. To add to this, I'm not using any custom scenery, and none of my rides will exceed 200 square gridlines. These are the ones I have right now, set up in some sort of "showcase" park. I'm going to add more of them and add download links as soon as I make them. EDIT: Download on the Track Exchange for V1.0 is now up! http://www.themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=2929 Version 2.0 is also here! http://www.themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=3059 SCR35.BMP Starting off with a 10x10 medieval themed Floorless called The Black Death. This was one of the more heavily themed ones. SCR36.BMP Getting into a little more compact ones now, here are a few "Wild Mouse" style rides (two 8x8 clones (one inverted, one not) called Lunacy and Insanity, plus a 7x16 spinning coaster called Sugar Rush). SCR37.BMP Many of these were designed to be both crowd-drawers and cheap rides, much like these two. Featured here: Bloodbath, a TOGO standup, and Comet, a generic wooden coaster. SCR38.BMP Getting back into the 10x10 rides, this time more family oriented than the first. Timber is a Tivoli Custom family coaster, and 4-man Bob was more of an experiment than anything else. SCR39.BMP I only included this one for the fact that it's dirt cheap and draws huge crowds for no apparent reason. Other than that, Blast (a launched freefall coaster) doesn't really do anything else. SCR40.BMP Next up is Warp, a 4D coaster with a rather smooth layout. Just as a fair warning, this ride seems to make just about everyone sick after riding. SCR41.BMP These next two I'm rather proud of for being so compact and yet managing to fit in loads of theming and full queues. Plunger is an 8x8 toilet-themed Diving Coaster and Water Leak is a 10x10 Water Coaster. SCR42.BMP For the guests who are more into intense rides, there's Oil Strike (a 12x12 Twister) and Tidal Wave (a 10x10 Standup Twister). Both are well themed and provide great excitement and intensity for their size. SCR43.BMP Although it has a hard-to-follow layout, Whim is a great 8-wide "Hyper" Twister Coaster for its size. SCR44.BMP One of the more recently made ones is Tango, a 10x14 Corkscrew coaster with some more-than passable theming. SCR45.BMP The last one of the bunch is an 8x8 Virginia Reel coaster called Barrel-o-Fun. The name accurately describes how much the guests like it, believe it or not.

^You know what, I actually really like that second shot of the mechanics of that train. It really shows how complicated they are. I got one more experimental one of Silver Bullet at Knott's: Fail or not, this is my attempt at surreal roller coaster photography.

Build It And They Will . . . Forget.
Randomman295 replied to GrapesLie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The first time I went to IOA, I forgot Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls existed. Same thing with Cedar Point and MaXair, and that ended up being one of my favorite rides of the day. And it officially has the best night flat cycle of all time. -
^You're using a Mac, so yes, I am in fact having nightmares.

The Joker. Lemons or limes?

What ruins your ride flow?
Randomman295 replied to Coaster Curt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's not really a second chain lift hill that ruins it for me, but it's usually a chain lift hill that leads into the station. Such as SFMM's Ninja. Fantastic coaster, but it would have been MUCH better if the station was at the base of the mountain and there was only one chain lift. Also, MCBRs that slow down the train to the point where it's impossible to notice really bug me. The first one that comes to mind is Ghost Rider at KBF. The ride would have good pacing if it wasn't trimmed to death. Rides that (for lack of a better term) "blow their load" too soon also ruin it for me. Xcelerator at KBF instantly comes to mind; it has a fantastic first half (a ridiculously powerful launch followed by an intense airtime-filled top hat) that leads into a lackluster second half (two redundant overbanks and an almost painful brake run). I like rides to gradually get better and better as they go along, which is why I like rides like Manta (SWSD), Silver Bullet, Revenge of the Mummy (USO), and Maverick. I also am generally not a fan of inversions/elements that repeat themselves, with the only exceptions being Arrow/Vekoma double corkscrews (good hangtime with time to soak it all in) and repeated airtime hills. This is kind of why I didn't like the diveloop-diveloop combo of Riddler's Revenge, and I didn't like the redundant turns (as smooth and intense as they may have been) on Maverick. -
Guys. I have something very important to tell this thread. If you haven't bought it already (which you should have), you NEED TO GET BATTLEBLOCK THEATER. It's seriously the best platformer I've ever played other than LittleBigPlanet. I'm almost done with the co-op campaign at my friend's house and we love it, so if you have an Xbox Live account, GET THIS GAME NOW. It's only $15. The co-operative campaign is a nearly flawless blast, with a slew of well-made levels to go along with a fair learning curve. It reminds me a lot of Super Meat Boy without all of the controller-pulverizing difficulty. It's got a lot of well made versions of familiar multiplayer modes, such as King Of The Hill (as seen above) and Capture the Flag (with horses instead of flags, it works perfectly). As much as I hate to say it, this game does have a few flaws, such as dumb AI, seen here during a match of the hectic Soul Snatcher multiplayer game mode. Characters are customizable and class based, depending on what tools/weapons you choose. You have lots at your disposal, such as boomerangs, grenades, kickballs, nerf guns, and fireballs. And did I mention it has a level editor for making your own multiplayer maps and campaigns? As if that wasn't enough, the plot is actually pretty enjoyable and is full of great voice acting and lots of humor. Seriously, get it now.

Widely considered one of the worst games in recent history. Also a Wii U Exclusive.

LL:DOD doesn't try too hard at a launch just to fail at it, so LL:DOD. Gwazi or Lightning Racer?
-
^I hope you're talking about LBP 1, because I don't have the karting spinoff or #2. Username is Blahguy126 on the PSN.
-
^Hell yes. I just played a couple of days ago, but I haven't published any levels yet.

The RCT/RCT2 Preview Thread
Randomman295 replied to mcjaco's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^The turnaround out of the station has a stray support poking through the track. And the photo booth doesn't really look like the exit feeds into it. Other than that, fantastic job on the buildings! I really like the supports too. What pack do you use and where can I get it? -
Yes, unless he deletes it after I post this. Then a black hole would appear. Does the phrase "Would You Kindly" send shivers down your spine?

Photo TR: Valleyfair - Photo's of Camp Snoopy
Randomman295 replied to RCjunkie's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^And people keep calling the Morgan Hypercoasters "mutant mine trains". Great update! I really think you captured Valleyfair's good photogenic qualities with those pictures. But how come you couldn't get this into TPR sooner? -
Why yes, of course I wanna You worry me. Are you going into airtime withdrawl yet?
-
Hell yes. Have you ever run over something heavier than 100 pounds in your car?

If BGW actually ends up getting a woodie, IMHO I think that a non-racing GCI such as Prowler would work much better. I mean, that and Knight Valley's GCI were two of GCI's best, and those were terrain coasters that were rather close to the ground. It really looks like there's room for this kind of think across the river from Verbolten's main drop.
