  1. ^I can't believe that's actually in the game. Looks amazing. Hell yes! I actually really liked Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and although I haven't played 2, 3, or Golden Abyss, I heard they were good and I'm definitely looking forward to The Last of Us. I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic games.
  2. ^Yeah, watch out. The aspects of the first two games are mainly there, but it doesn't quite feel like a Bioshock game from what I hear. It's still amazing though, I really hope they recapture that juicy, thick atmosphere and sense of mystery the first game had. ^^My friend preordered it and is playing it soon. I'll ask him and let you know what he thinks of it.
  3. Man, I love how active this thread is today.
  4. HAHA! That face on the right side of the front row is hilarious. I love it! (Now get one like that of SWSD's Manta. )
  5. Two weeks ago. Delicious. When was the last time you danced to a song?
  6. ^Thanks for the update. I really like how good that entire park looks in the snow, but were any of the coasters actually running? I didn't see a single train in there.
  7. Well hey, at least they're not lying.
  8. What exactly is wrong with the Space Mountain in DLP?
  9. I rode S:EFK last October during Fright Fest. It's really not that worth it, even though the backwards launch is slightly more intense and you feel the hangtime slightly longer due to the increased speed (rumors state 102mph in 6.5 seconds this time around instead of 100 in 7). However, the ride's capacity is even worse, the drop back down do the bottom isn't as intense as it used to be, and the view from the launching platform/station is terrible because you're looking at a freakin' wall rather than the open air. It feels confined. Don't waste your time on busy days; the capacity still sucks, especially when there's only one tower running. Only go on off days, and even then, with rides like Ninja and Tatsu next to it, you have no reason to ride it.
  10. Do you mean the $5 after 5-o-clock deal? One of the locals told me over spring break it was still going on, but that's just a rumor to me.
  11. For me, what makes a ride is almost all about how well the ride flows between elements. This is why Silver Bullet and SWSD's Manta are so high up on my top coasters list. And why rides like SFMM's Goliath and SWSD's Journey to Atlantis are so far down. And how smooth the ride is. The glossier, the better. I also like it when rides have a nice, dynamic range of forces, like what GCI woodies and Arrow Loopers have. Also why I hated rides like Goliath (the ride maintains a spine crushing 5.3 Gs for a total of 25 seconds with little airtime)
  12. I really like these ones: Manta Kanonen Steel Venom Renegade Verbolten
  13. A MAN CHOOSES!
  14. ^^Love that ride and the photo. What shutter speed was that one at?
  15. ^ I see mostly where you're coming from, but what really defines a "good" first B&M invert drop from a "bad" one?
  16. Worst: Maverick's line isn't all that well themed and the queue music gets etched into your head after a couple hours. I had to wait about 1.5 hours for my only ride on it. I loved the ride, but the line wasn't enjoyable to wait in whatsoever. Longest: I had to wait in the line for Millennium Force for at least 2.5 hours. Since then I've vowed not to go to parks on Saturdays ever again. Slowest: My mom and I wanted to ride the Camp Snoopy Ferris Wheel last week, because it had a short line and two ride ops. Turns out, the dispatch cycles were one seat (2 riders) every 5 minutes or so (and they would only let 8 people on it at a time), where the average flat ride would be able to do about 15 times that much. There were only ten people in front of us and it took a half an hour to get on. Slowest moving line ever.
  17. Are you serious? I rode VF's Corkscrew last year and it was ridiculously smooth for an Arrow. In all honesty it was the smoothest ride in the park aside from Wild Thing. Although it's got great floater air and a neat layout with great intensity, KBF's Ghostrider is ridiculously rough and rattly. Defensive riding really is needed to enjoy it.
  18. ^Hahaha! That's absolutely great! Looks great as is: I especially love the use of terrain with the buildings to create sort of a pseudo-terrain layout.
