  1. I have a confirmed trip to KBF next week, so either Xcelerator or Silver Bullet.
  2. This is a bit off topic, but I have a trip planned next Monday or Tuesday to stop by Knott's. I haven't been there in a while and have a few questions: How good of condition is Ghostrider in? I remember it being incredibly rough, but I haven't heard recent talk about it being all that bad, so I might give it another chance to see if it can make it off of my bottom ten. Is it worth the wait and possible headache? I'm definitely going to see if I can nab some construction photos of Coast Rider, but I want to know: Is it against the park rules to do so? I don't want to break any rules. I think next week isn't spring break for Cali, but I want to make sure. I want to prepare for large crowds, so I need to know ahead of time how busy it's going to be. Any new rumors about the dippin' dots guy?
  3. ^^ I guess I just now realized how much that Superman flyby looks like the queue flyby on HRRR... That was a highlight of HRRR, and I hope it works on YOLOcoaster as well.
  4. ^^Hopefully it won't be as terrible as BioShock 2. *shudders* Back on the topic of The Walking Dead, Episode Three of The Walking Dead Game is seriously a shocker. I downloaded it and started playing on the PS3 port. I honestly think I died a little inside today. ...Until a game-breaking visual glitch (where the camera decides to bury itself in the dirt and look at some far away trees) happened and I was forced to quit. Curse you, TellTale! Does anyone know how I can contact them? This really is a serious problem.
  5. ^It was actually because of the limitations of the train's ability to change directions quickly. It's to keep the ride reliable and cheap. My personal least favorite is either a "helix of death" or an outward bank. Helixes of death last way too long and outward banks just hurt.
  6. ^I agree with you mostly, but I honestly think Valleyfair could use something along the lines of an SLC (Keep in mind the park already has the fantastic Impulse Steel Venom). I know it wouldn't be too good of a coaster, but it's just what the park needs: An inverting looping coaster. The waterpark is a bit lackluster, but it's in no need for a true expansion. The admission is included and it has a great selection of rides for such a small area. I happened to really like the movie theater, but if anything gets taken out to put a new slide or two in, I'd say it be better to take out the inverting pirate ship. That was probably the only bad experience of my last visit, besides Excalibur. Or just take out the pirate ship altogether and replace it with a better flat ride.
  7. ^They cost an asstonne, just like any other B&M out there. At least 14-15 million dollars.
  8. Team Fortress 2... Because it's hosted by Steam. Steam or Origin?
  9. ^ Is that... Smoking Guns? I completely forgot about that weird arcade game.
  10. I like the new Sim City, but there's no reason to play it when you have games like sim city 4. I think that one was (by far) the best in the series. But I really want to know: With one of SC4's strong points being the fantastic soundtrack, how good is the new one's compared to it?
  11. Double Dragon... It isn't nearly as impossible. Halo or Call of Duty?
  12. About the virtual POV: Is the train actually going to hit those airtime humps that fast? If so, we're looking at El Toro or SkyRush grade ejector air here.
  13. ^Twisted Metal. The story is pretty grim, but the driving is joyous. I enjoyed it.
  14. The beautiful and brutal Desert Storm at Castles-n-Coasters in Phoenix, AZ. It feels a lot like a Schwarzkopf Looper but with a bit of signature Arrow rattle thrown in there and really wacked out supports. It's actually pretty enjoyable without OTSRs.
  15. ...No Foster's rides? WHY HAVE THEY BETRAYED US
  16. Contra... Only because it's the first use of the legendary Konami Code. ^ ^ v v < > < > B A Strt Konami or Capcom?
  17. You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If.... You know the base of operations for at least three engineering firms You seem to be the only one capable of distinguishing a Dive Loop from an Immelmann You go to Penn State for the engineering program You know the best row for airtime, forces, and sense of speed for at least ten coasters You know that the launch systems on Intamin Impulse coasters aren't recorded screams
  18. ^ You're going to LOVE that game. Seriously. It's amazing. So I just completed Episode 2 of The Walking Dead. I don't want to spoil anything, but for any of you who played it yourselves, did you help Kenny or Lilly when the Larry "thing" happened?
  19. I'm a male with ADD and ADHD. The number came from my love of multiples of the number 5, but I don't remember why I used that number in particular. I've been using this username for ages, so I don't remember the whole story.
  20. Has it become some sort of official rule on this thread to include the phrase "YOLO" every other post? If so, carry on. I actually sort of want to see SFMM take note of this just to see their reaction. In all seriousness, I actually really like the way this ride is turning out so far. Too bad it's so short time wise; this ride could have taken the time to intertwine with Goldrusher or something cool like that. I guess it's still their decision, though.
  21. ^I love that one! Did you take that yourself?
  22. If we've learned anything from how stinkin' smooth nTag was, I say no. Have you ever posted anything to the TPR Track Exchange?
  23. Mack's test track for the new suspended powered coaster.
  24. That looks great. I'm sure it will feel even closer to the midway while riding, too!
