  1. ^I've gotten plenty of smooth rides on Riddler's Revenge, I really wouldn't want the ride any other way. Besides, the sitting down position would kind of ruin the effects the Stengel Dive and the last corkscrew have on your body.
  2. I have a few more to add to this. 14.bmp How has nobody mentioned Riddler's Revenge? Am I really the only one who likes the Loop-Dive-Dive-Inclined-Stengel-MCBR-Corkscrew-Floater-Corkscrew combination? Speed: No Limits at Oakwood is another one of my favorites. It's kind of like a miniature out and back steel looper that's got a little bit of everything in it. Huracan at Belantis is another Eurofighter with a good layout. And the only one with interlocking corkscrews to date. I may be wrong, but I believe that Tornado at Bakken is Intamin's only spinning coaster. It's an indoor coaster (this was taken during construction), but it still manages some really good forces apparently. OzIris at Parc Astérix I think has the best layout of the B&M inverts alongside Nemesis and Silver Bullet. The entire layout is impossible to get in one picture, but this should give you a good idea of its Dive-Overbank-Loop-Immelmann-Overbank-ZeroG-ZeroG combo. I mentioned this one in the original post, but I only just now found a decent enough picture that depicts Vild-Svinet's compact and twisty layout. Also the world's first Eurofighter. How has nobody else mentioned Kanonen at Liseberg yet? Just look at how brilliantly compact it is!
  3. ^Honestly, in the sixth grade, who wasn't?
  4. I really couldn't have been the only one to think of an RCT2 message box saying "12 people have died in an accident on Full Throttle" when I read this.
  5. Again, not really a trip update, but I got some more shots of Silver Bullet processed in Photoshop. I really wish I had a better camera, they look pretty grainy, but I still like them. Let me know what you think.

  7. ^^ Haha, I know. I was trying to find an image of theirs that wasn't obnoxiously huge. I'm actually listening to Dramophone off of Panic now.
  8. ^I can't get over how well you pulled off the motion blur in that last shot. Fantastic.
  9. Whoever can identify this group has to be my new favorite TPR member.
  10. ^I guess I'm the only one that likes the Morgan trains then?
  11. I hate to say it, but the station looks really bland so far. It gets the job done, but it isn't unique at all. I really hope they add more to it before it's finished, but the main part of the station looks complete but bland.
  12. While we're not too far off of the subject of Bioshock, I saw an advertisement for Bioshock Infinite on the ThemeParkReview forums. I don't know who approved that, but you have good taste in advertising.
  13. If you look at TPR's coverage of the IAAPA expos over the years, you'll see that a lot of engineering firms have ideas just waiting to be put into motion by the money of a park. I'm sure that they'll just keep coming up with more ideas, but the real limiting factor of the evolution of roller coasters is the parks who order them. Not too many parks seem to be pushing the envelope as much lately, so new things do seem "gimmicky" at times, but you have to realize that not everything has been done. We will know that time has come when King's Island actually does open up Laser Snake Horse On Fire. Or Six Flags Magic Mountain opens up a dark ride.
  14. Speaking of non-coaster rides with ridiculous airtime: I rode one of these in the same day as Ghostrider at Knott's and this still had more airtime. Absolutely ridiculously amazing. I think I'm becoming a frog hopper enthusiast... I've actually gotten some hangtime on the boomerangs at Knott's and SFMM. Does that count as airtime? (the original post said that he liked the airtime on Montezooma's Revenge, and that's hangtime...)
  15. ^But have any of them done it before? My last five visits to SFMM haven't done it, and I haven't been on Air or Orlando's Manta.
  16. Speaking of single rider lines, am I really the only one who thinks that X2 needs one as well? And one more thing: Do any of the B&M flyers use both stations at once? I know Air and Manta have two stations, and I really want to know if it's possible at all for Tatsu to do it too. It would require lots of ride ops, yes, so it would be unrealistic for SFMM to do this, but is it even possible?
  17. That's why you just have one wheel powered and the other coasting. Problem solved. This thing still needs to be built, april fools or not.
  18. ...Considering you just mentioned two entire rides, I wouldn't call those "moments". Maybe Bizarro's triple camelback into the brake run during rain would be your "moment", but if you want to say something like this, I would advise creating a new thread. Suggested name: "Best Rides at Night/In the Rain"
  19. I love taking pictures like that one of Manta's roll. Keep it up, I say.
  20. I actually really like the sun flare/haze/glare/whateveryoucallit on top of the Coastersaurus entrance. How good is that ride, anyway?
