  1. As they say, "Any publicity is good publicity." Could it be that this is actually good for Six Flags? The people who didn't hear about this marketing stunt will hear it this time around--perhaps they may decide to go! Six Flags would not cancel this event--far too much publicity has been spread, and just look at all the people who simply laugh at such an article. I'd say less that 2% of people nationwide would possibly be angry at Six Flags for this practice. I don't believe any effect will be had upon the event.
  2. LMAO! That was soooo great! That weird cheer thingy was really, really funny. It's the perfect way to impersonate enthuiasts.
  3. I really love the queens... they are soooo funny. Especially when they were doing the Chinese dance routine thingy, and learned it faster than the cheerleaders. They are so gay it's not even funny. Anyway, the show is already on on the east coast, and will be starting at 7:00 in each of the time zones. So, be sure to tune in! Looks like I got my schedule mixed up. TAR starts at 7:00 each night and ends at 8:00. Sorry!
  4. Couldn't this go in the same topic as the other one about your model?
  5. I found Adventure Island to be a pretty nice waterpark. A few rides were closed, but not enough to make the day a bad one. Runaway Rapids was a lot of fun... the tunnels and scenery made the ride. Did you guys hit up Key West Rapids? We found that one to be different from all the other tube slides... ever. It's divided into a bunch of different sections, with splash pools dividing them. The lifeguards then push you into the next section. The flume is really wide, so it allows you to spin. Also, Everglides was a ton of fun.
  6. Elissa, could you change mine to: Self-Proclaimed IMAX Nerd Thanks a lot!
  7. LOL... very nice! You've got a real talent in not only animation but subtle comedy also. It's great, and totally fitting for this site. Keep up the great work!
  8. ^ LOL. I love the tube slides of hot doom... they never fail to amaze me. Nowadays, most of the tube slides are pretty mellow, but sometimes that one amazing tube slide will come along. There was one at Bay of Dreams in particular that was a great example of this. It was the tall tube slide, and it looked nice and relaxing. And, going single, it was! But go down double, and that thing is crazy! You go so high up on the sides, and, upon splashdown more than 75% of the double riders fall off. I love it!
  9. ^ I forgot to think about that one... it is pretty darn claustrophobic. It's strange, but I think that air helps so much with the claustrophobia.
  10. Dude, those pictures are really big. I think they're supposed to be a maximum of 800x600... Anyway, nice TR.
  11. Very, very nice... The Dragons looks great! Excellent work! I look forward to seeing more.
  12. Totally agreed... Dragon is a total piece. I guess that's what we get when we get the only Hopkins coaster with OSTRs... The dinky bunny hills of pain, lifthill turn of hot doom, straight ramp-ish drop that shouldn't be rough but is, two spine-compressing too-high-g loops, and two nosebleed helices. It's just not a fun ride anymore... LOL. Let's get an S&S... they seem to be reasonable in price. Or a used Arrow Mulitlooper... anything would be better than Dragon... even an SLC.
  13. When you fill Arrow Log Flume boats to their fullest (5 people), and they are all full-grown, it is very cramped. But it's a crapload of fun.
  14. Tornado is very hit-or-miss. Some days it runs incredibly well, and the next day it will just run okay (or even badly, but that's pretty rare.)
  15. Steel, I'd have to agree with you. Adventureland runs their Falling Star all-out. By far one of the best flats I have ever been on--the airtime is amazing. That thing was built to be like that, and it's unfortunate that most parks now run their Falling Stars quite badly (when viewed in comparison to this amazing program). It's still one of the most popular flats in the park, despite its age. Quite the amazing ride--an airtime city. Adventureland runs most of their flats pretty darn well. Their Moser Splash Over sports an amazing program, and it's quite fast and enjoyable. This Moser version of the Top Spin is much more nimble and quick, and sports a better program than nearly every single Top Spin around. Their Moser version of the Frisbee (Sidewinder) is also very good. Adventureland still sports a manually controlled Paratrooper (with levers for the op to control the ride). Their Galleon is pretty good also, in addition to their Breakdance and Tilt-A-Whirl. Adventureland has some great, well-run flats.
  16. Word on the street says that Triple Play will be back and operating for the 2007 season. That ride is the perfect combination of a relaxing ride, and an intense one.
  17. The Inverter. While I felt secure, I thought that my legs were going to fall off... it was so terribly painful. What an awful experience. Also, Deja Vu scares the crap out of me every time I go on it. Especially when I was younger and smaller, though. Those harnesses simply do not fit smaller people well, and that first spike scared the crap out of me then. Now, it's not so bad, but it's still a little frightening.
  18. I'm sooo happy my school doesn't do block scheduling... I believe that it's a terrible idea and the concept itself is flawed. Foreign language and math courses get particularly screwed in block scheduling... there is only so much you can do in one class.
  19. Yup... it's the East River Crawler... Though my all-time favorite it Triple Play.
  20. Julie, I love Heimlich too... he's sooo cute and such a great Disney character... and the Roz at the end of the Monsters INC ride seems really funny... the insults she gives are great. It would be so fun to be the CM working Roz...
  21. So big... so open... Exact opposite of my school.
  22. I'm gay!
  23. ^ Uh... didn't CSI do that coaster show? That's kind of the same thing...
  24. Eh... not so much. It's pricey, and the Wii looks like it's a 100x more fun and entertaining.
  25. Wow... that seems like a great deal! Especially the Unlimited Express Pass, water, room upgrades, and free parking (usually valet!) Crazy...
