  1. It was mentioned earlier that they could be making a big announcement sometime in April. Not sure what could be better than this year's new coaster, but I'm always for new expansions!
  2. I'm at a total of 7 hours in and haven't been bothered much to open it back up. It's not very pleasing to the eyes, and feels clunky and jagged. That's not to say it's totally unplayable, it's just... shallow. Not really worth the full-price. The devs still throw small updates every few months though, so it's not like they've totally abandoned it (latest update is some fountains apparently).
  3. I always get the chance to hop on it when it comes by the KY State Fair (North American Midway Entertainment), and it's easily one of the most underrated rides there. It's not the loudest or most flashy ride on the strip (at least not until last year's fair when it got a new and beautiful led light package) but it always delivers the wildest ride. Be warned, they love to eat whatever is in your pockets. Side note: There's a version that annually comes by the Bluegrass Fair (ran by Belle City Amusements) that's actually the quirkiest and sketchiest one I've ever seen, and I now avoid out of fear. The one owned by NAME is the best upkept one I've ever seen.
  4. ^"It was a Good Day" - Ice Cube
  5. I'd do it. I'm one of the weird ones that actually loves this tower, and I'm betting this'll make it even more terrifying. I'm also on the boat with wondering why they chose that name. They literally could have chosen any other name... any... really. Drop of Doom seems far too tacky to me!
  6. "Dream. Build. Repeat." - Jim Guthrie and JJ Ipsen
  7. The big Dollywood trip I took back in November was a few days after Planet Coaster officially released. I got my hands on a copy of the soundtrack and was listening to it basically the entire trip there and back. Listening to the soundtrack now is making me reeeeeeally want to hop in my car and head back down. I miss the park!
  8. I'm not picky, but my campus has 3 different Starbucks spots so I've mostly been with them. I wouldn't mind jumping ship to Dunkin' since I could get doughnuts as well, but the only shop of its kind in a bookstore closed up for not getting enough customers, and the next nearest one requires a short car trip. Lazy? Probably. But hard to argue when the friction of distance is lesser when a Starbucks is an 8 minute walk from class.
  9. Good grief those headchoppers! This looks insane! I so hope Vekoma comes back into the picture with variations popping up in the U.S. some-year.
  10. Alpha 11 Was certainly not expecting the drop tower, let alone the lay-down flat tower! Also, the scenario editor!!! I think the other game(s?) could reeeally benefit from something like this to give spice to more people's parks instead of always starting out with pre-made or flat lands. Also friendly reminder that this is an $18 game that works on almost any computer.
  11. There's great moments on coasters, and there's generally great coasters. I finally had one of those "religious experiences?" on The Beast last year right before the park closed, getting last train that night. Something about not being surrounded by enthusiasts mixed in with being tired from an overall excellent day led to that night ride being a nice closer for it all. And yes, the riders hath rejoiced upon return to the station. But that was just one ride. The other prior 5 or so rides were all "meh," and I still consider it one of the most overrated coasters I've ever ridden. I still think Voyage is far better, even with its occasional roughness. Having said that, I bumped Beast to #2 on my overrated list, and planted Raptor in my #1.
  12. My ADD has been especially all over the place today. I cannot, for the life of me, stay focused on one thing before two seconds later thinking about something else...
  13. Latest thing I could find on their Facebook, and the only thing in terms of progress for this year. So they're not totally dead.
  14. Devlog Update 134 Also smaller park entrance and some wooden paths and queues, and new decoration objects (and less blurry text in Unity). Lastly the ability for a window to minimize when the mouse is outside of it. I'm most excited about the terrain generator! Now it's gonna give each park more variety and character! Edit: There's also new metal walls (Devlog Update 133) that will be implemented in the next update.
  15. Doing this one too because boredom struck hard for me... 1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park? Driving: Dollywood Flying: Rapids Water Park 2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in? Storm Chaser 3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags? Haven't tried either (except the inverted boomerang). I guess VR. 4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride? Not quite. I actually find that a little awkward. 5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something? Taking photos of the rides. 6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night? Tough pick, but maybe early morning before park opening because that often includes breakfast. 7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious? Blue ice cream? 8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride. Wildfire, Formula Rossa, Taron? 9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did? Journey to Atlantis at SWO on the lift hill right before the biggest drop. Got front of the line pass for it. 10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster? 5 hours for Banshee (opening day). 11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it. Those Tivoli Orbiters (and any equivalents like Remix. Hate 'em). 12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park. Waffles 13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on? Valravn. 14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be? Maybe Diamondback at Kings Island. Even when visiting on dead days, there's always some wait for it. 15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster? Nope (thank goodness). 16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option. Hard to stand out from previously having a kicka** standup coaster. I suppose floorless! 17. Name your favorite Vekoma. Expedition Everest. 18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness? Mile High Falls. 19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's? Airtime, for sure. 20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are... B&M hyper coaster bucket seats. 21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash? $1,000 cash! 22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog? Soggy dog. I don't believe those dryer machines work. :s (UNLESS they're one of those tiny wall-mounted spinning dryers like at the Great Wolf Lodge). 23. What is the worst food you've had at your home park? The tacos at the new restaurant aren't always very filling. 24. You're at Cedar Point. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... Top Thrill Dragster. Gotta stretch out those 14 seconds somehow. 25. Favorite (non-clone) dark ride? Forbidden Journey doesn't count? Maybe Escape from Gringotts then. 26. What was your favorite park you visited in 2016? Dollywood. 27. What's your current credit count? Don't be shy. 124 28. Winner winner chicken dinner! You just won a trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is its only good for Six Flags America or Mt Olympus. Which do you choose? Six Flags America. At least they have variety... and rides that don't want to kill me. 29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden? Intimidator 305 30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing? T3 and Himalaya? They're on opposite ends of the park though, so that wouldn't make much sense. 31. Song/music you've heard playing at a park that absolutely has not business being played in a theme park? Dunno, really. 32. There's 5 minutes before the park closes. You choose to: Reride your favorite coaster in the park, OR get the new kiddie/junior coaster credit? Reride. 33. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park? I want to, but with large parks like Kings Island it becomes difficult to want to include it. I still say yes, though. 34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to? Volcano bay. 35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years? Mega Wedgie water bowl slide. It was that year's big addition for the park during the Six Flags era. 36. Can't remember, honestly. I keep a close eye on my stuff usually. 21. Name of the worst B&M invert you're ridden is... Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Over Georgia? Name three other forum members that will fill this out... ... that's a bit of an odd thing. I'm sure any I can think of have probably already done so. (Edit: and from a quick glance, most other people skip this as well! )
  17. The most I've seen is 40 minutes. That's with the switch backs nearly filled, but not totally. People tend to back out of queuing once they see the switchbacks nearly full, so I've never seen it hit the hour mark.
  18. I love the scale of height felt in these photos. The ride looks super tall! Also I'm especially loving how you designed that church! Great stuff!
  19. 21. Man, I need to expand my horizons a bit! Love their coasters!
  20. I'd say so, yes. It might seem a little cluttered at first, but it's very easy to upload and share images around once you get used to it.
  21. Imgur is pretty great. I used photobucket years ago, but recently started using imgur with little issues.
  22. Holy cow, the new lighting engine for the game is doing so much good for your creation! This looks incredible! The support system fits with the environment so well, and the entire theme is on point! I'd love to see more eventually, like a video!
  23. Spoilers for what the VR video entails:
