From the they did today. "Stars and Stripes" scenery pieces AMERICA!!! "Iron Claw" flat ride "Viper One" Intamin Impulse coaster "Gnarler" with Millenium Flyer trains Wooden coasters will be recolorable, also. Also things to note: -Anything that can be triggered can be added to the fireworks show sequence. -Billboards can have user generated images and video and will be triggerable. They'll also have audio, but not at the moment the update releases. -Ride sequencer will now allow flat rides to have timed triggers too, not just for roller coasters. Next week will have another livestream at same time as today's with a live build of the new attractions in the game (and hopefully show off the other rides too).

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Midgetman82 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Comfort and re-rideability play a huge role in my top favorite coasters. Diamondback just so happens to be a roller coaster I would have no problem marathoning if given the chance. For coasters that throw you around, Mystic Timbers certainly helps fill that void at Kings Island (unless maybe you include Vortex) I realize the back row might be the best thing on the coaster, but I almost always opt for 2nd row. It's almost as good as a front seat ride due to the V-shape cars, and usually has a shorter wait there so I get on quicker. Love the feel of the wind up there. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

^That's where I was in the morning. Lines weren't all too bad there at that time either. Although once the afternoon hit, the flood of people came pouring in and I gave up on waiting in the significantly longer lines. Had a great day though! 25-ish minute wait for Diamondback, 30 for Mystic Timbers, walk-on and 5 minute wait for Banshee, and some other credits. Side note: I think I'm starting to like both the Mystic Timbers/Diamondback duo more than Banshee. MT is just... wild! Still super smooth, and provides those sudden lateral + airtime forces no other coaster in the park achieves. Diamondback confirmed my statement of it being pure bliss. Comfy open seats plus floater airtime heaven. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Two back-to-back night rides on Mystic Timbers. Such a fun roller coaster! A little short on "fly-time" for my tastes, but still now one of my new favorites at Kings Island! -
Dollywood Discussion Thread
Midgetman82 replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm sorta, kinda wishing Dollywood would simply do the same to Lightning Rod (with an announcement, of course). Still unfortunate for people to keep going to the park and then complain about it not being open. -
The gasp I made when I found the TripAdvisor page with 2/5 stars... I get that they're going through some pretty intense growing pains into a new system, but it's quite unfortunate that they're getting hammered like this until they work things out. I couldn't help but feel some things were rushed so they could get the park open, and now seeing the results of that. Edit: It's good that Universal has someone responding to virtually all of the reviews though! Disney uses a conveyor for their belly mat slides too. It's fun to see them zip up the mountain super quick.

I'm one of the crazies that can enjoy a ride on T3 as well. I think my body shape and size allows for that, tho. Certain body shapes may have less of an enjoyable time than others. That's the biggest pull for it I think. 12 minutes of air conditioning on a hot summer day. I'm guilty of this too, holy cow. Was about to dissect his post before it finally hit me.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

Oh yeah, definitely one of my favorite amusement park dine-in restaurants I've ever been to. -
^^I was basically destroyed after Holiwood Nights. Did nothing but lounge at home all day! I don't know how anyone could wake up the day after and hit another park right after all of that! Props to you for trying, though! The intensity for Storm Chaser went up significantly this year, especially on the bunny hops. There was a point in time Lightning Run had a more intense bunny hop finale, but Storm Chaser is starting to creep its way above it. Very wild coaster! And yes, there's a noticeable strong lateral moment right before the brake run too, but it's more like a small burst before the ride immediately stops. Nothing negative, imo.

So after a hefty two afternoons marathoning roller coasters at the park and my right foot gaining an awful blister (which is 100% my fault ), I still gotta hand it to Holiday World for putting on yet another fantastic Holiwood Nights event. Those nighttime marathons on Thunderbird reinforced my love for the coaster and why it's in my top 10! Voyage was insane, as always, and provides plenty memorable trips through its course. Also, Firecracker is a wonderful family ride! it has quite a lengthy ride cycle and some not-too hard lateral forces. Word floated around that the ride was sped up a little during nighttime ERT on it, and it definitely felt like it! So, many thanks for that as well! -

That same dino got up to the control panels of Thunderbird as well, and for a moment Thunderbird was renamed pterodactyl! It was hilarious! -
If I was within a 4 hour driving distance of that, I'd pack my stuff and head over pronto. That sounds incredible... sketchy, considering patches of grass, but I really wish I could try it!

I really, really, really do not understand all the hate T3 gets. I rode it May of last year and quite enjoyed it, especially compared to Mind Eraser at SFNE before they got the new trains. Honestly, I don't either. It's worlds better with the new train and restraint system. Lol now back in the OLD days........... I still remember the days I'd sit in the back, press my head against one side of the padding, and literally brace tightly for dear life as the coaster proceeded to rattle and throw my body around on those old awkward SLC seats. I can attest to the new seats being far better than what they were before, and I usually give the coaster a whirl or two when I'm there (back of train mostly).

From an aerial perspective, the park's tallest coasters are between the flight paths of the airport runways. They could fit something tall-ish/hyper-ish there. How tall? Who knows. The park's already in possession of a 150ft big wheel, 130ft star flyer, 129ft drop tower, and 121ft freefall water slide within those boundaries. I can say, with full confidence, Storm chaser is even faster this year than it was last. I'm not sure how, but the second-half of the coaster is noticeably faster and more intense than I remember it being, and it actually flies hard into the brake run. Glad to hear you enjoyed the park overall. It genuinely gets slightly better every year.

Voyage absolutely does not need the millennium flyer trains. They do not guarantee an improvement to a wooden roller coaster. Take it from Gwazi. If you mean RMC coming in to retrack the coaster, then I'm totally fine with it too. But if you mean A complete topper track overhaul, then I'm not so on board with that. The ride experience will likely change drastically and require a huge amount of reprofiling to accommodate the new trains. You'd be looking at an entirely new roller coaster by then. -

Arguably, Mammoth is the most ridiculous raft slide I've ever been on! But in a traditional sense, that slide feels like it lasts fooooorever! Definitely a good one, along with the Hyena Falls halfpipe slide which is worth the hike to get away from most of the crowds for a bit.
