You guys are gonna love this!!! "This very unusual looking coaster is fairly cheap to build and fits into small footprints, but is still capable of all the elements you’d except from a big steel coaster. On the downside it has a relatively low capacity. You can also spot a new shop here, the Funnel Cakes stall!" RMC Raptor track coming in the next beta update! Remember, these updates typically get released towards the beginning (or end) of the month. That, along with other updates like "exporting big 4k screenshots of the entire park" that will come in the next update as well. These guys still work pretty regularly churning out some things Planet Coaster doesn't even offer, on a game that runs smoothly on most computer systems too. I still gotta give them credit for all that, because I still find this a highly underrated game more people should really look into! Just my $0.02 tho.

As always, the team is still updating the game with new rides, scenery, and other miscellaneous items! Beta 4 update available to download! This update's got floorless coaster. And even though the trains aren't extended out like dive coasters, they still gave it holding brake section. They also included a custom shop for you to make your own theming around too. For the next beta update, they're already starting to focus on visuals. Hard to see the major differences here on the forums, but the FOV and colors had certainly changed so things in the game won't look so flat.

I'm sure no one wants to revive this dead horse just to beat it again, but it was too funny to ignore. Atari's trying to port a new Roller Coaster Tycoon game to the Nintendo Switch... but they want the public to send them money to do it via "investment." They say they need anywhere between $10k to $1.07m, and they already apparently have $50k. This is similar to the program that they tried to use to get their 2017 Ataribox wooden game console off the ground, but with Indegogo. When the day came for pre-orders to launch (December 2017), they delayed it and no one's heard from them since. Perks? -$250 will get your name on a website. -$750 will get you 25% off one copy of the final game. -$1500 will get you a copy of their "Art of Atari" book. I am not making any of this up, see for yourself: https://www.startengine.com/atari-game-partners And just a small note: I don't endorse, nor support this, and I beg the world to please, for the love of all that is holy, stop giving Atari (Infogrames) money.

So, about that TR... The beginning of the day started with little to no pics due to the heavy downpour upon arrival. After being led to a shelter for temporary discussions, we were led back out to the park's operations building for a welcoming and a tour inside. There we got a peek at the office spaces and how they had renovated it to be more open with more glass walls after Ed Hart took back control, and we got a peek at some of the new staff uniforms that would be used this year. After all that, we were led back out to start the tour while the rain had calmed. Makin' our way thru games area. One of the couple new rides for 2018, Rock 'n' Roller, which was placed between Prof. John's Flying Machines and Lightning Run. Scream Xtreme was not on site yet, but was said to be ready by Memorial Day. Rides closed, but we'll just wait it out a lil and it should be up and running soon, right? Following the crowd to the back half, over the cars going to, what I believe was, the flea market at the Expo Center. Less crowded than I usually see it. Giant wheel is giant. Everyone gathered for a group pic, but I felt too compelled to try to make a photo to join. :s As they had promised earlier, they then took us up Deep Water Dive for views 121 feet up. At 66 feet tall, Wave Runner is still quite a tall slide as well. Almost there folks, then you can catch your breaths. Finally, the view! This is the capsule that people go in, but hardly ever come back out of. We'll come back to you, later. For any interested, the Louisville skyline is somewhere in this pic. Can you see it? After scaling back down the stairs and wandering to the other corner of the park, we turned a corner and were a little surprised to see something familiar waiting to say hello. I guess this is a final goodbye! You'll be missed, but a replacement was certainly needed, imo. Then we all hung out under a corked roll. There was plenty photo ops and track touching. Also that roll™ Did I mention the roll™? The very last thing we did was have a look at picnic pavilions where many ride cars were being stored. How's it going, RMC? As sleek as this train's design is, i always underestimate how big the front nose is. Gotta show some love to the best coaster in the park. And the last year's newest coast- er, flat ride. After this we were led out and went our merry ways. Had a pretty good time touring the park and getting opportunities to visit areas that are typically off limits, especially standing under Storm Chaser track and seeing the trains stored. A big thank you goes to Kentucky Kingdom for organizing the free event and inviting us all out! After the tour we were brought back to the operations building to talk about the new rides and attractions coming to the park (much of what's already been mentioned in this thread), as well as a Q&A and giveaways for answering trivia.. Also there was free pizza!

I have a couple posters by them framed, tho I haven't hung it back up on my wall since I moved. Great stuff.

Very minor note: I came back to this thread to check out some things involving Kala and Ta Nui serpentine body slides in the volcano, and checked the Rider's Guide PDF (page 9) to see if the max weight limit was still at 200lbs, and saw they raised it a little to 230lbs. Not a significant change, but hey, now I can definitely ride it if I ever get to the park someday!

This is such a gorgeous looking park! Loving what you're doing with it! -
Beta 3 update is ready for download! The LSM launch system was put on the Giga coaster, Wing coaster, and the Steel coaster. I made a Premiere spaghetti bowl coaster and posted it to the workshop in case anyone wants to download it. Steam Workshop Link The devs threw in a new flat ride and made a new tree type as well:

New year, new updates to catch-up on (again, there's a LOT I'm omitting for the sake of length, the rest are on their devlog in the link provided): What's new and currently available right now (beta 2): "Employees gain experience by doing their work now. The more experienced they are the faster they complete their tasks and the less quickly they get tired. They can also be sent to the Staff Training Room, a new park utility building where they train to gain experience more quickly." New color-able trees, bunter flags, You can add custom music, and go between colors from a select palette or the old custom color palette. You can build fences onto raised sidewalk, and it'll replace the default fence on that path. This includes Queues. New large monorail type. New small monorail type. New powered coaster type New one-car 6 person bobsled coaster type. New spinning coaster type, which if found under the selection menu of the current spinning coaster. What's coming in the next update: First-Aid's coming. LSM launches are coming to select coasters. Overbanked turns are gonna get much easier to make Like, a lot easier to make. I know I seem like the only one interested in the game here, but I've seriously been loving the management aspect of this highly underrated game. I think the management aspect of this is far more manageable than is Planet Coaster's, and the simplicity of this game makes it much easier to pick up as well.

Old seats weren't much of a complaint from me, but can't deny the new sleekness. Very nice! -

Thank you! I really appreciate it! I think Woodchipper is my crown jewel coaster and none of the other coasters quite flowed as smoothly as it did, tho Yeti is quite a thrill of its own as well. If I can find a way to not make my computer lag too badly, I can try for more POV's, starting with Yeti since the mine pit coaster isn't quite themed completely yet. For a tiny-tiny update, I've started slowly chipping away at the farmlands, starting with adding a crop farm growing wheat. Good use of the autumn trees update in this one. The Tango ride is hidden, which is named Windmill for obvious reasons. -

The drop was something spectacular, and the elevator lift up definitely was a thrill of its own too! Overall, though, I thought it was alright in my opinion. I do think that space could be used for something potentially much better someyear. -
Ten Best Coasters You Rode in 2017
Midgetman82 replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tricky list, since my top 5 of any coaster list are usually interchangeable (and my definition of "best" are ones I had the most enjoyment on). With that said... 1. Lightning Rod 2. Storm Chaser 3. Diamondback 4. Thunderbird 5. Banshee 6. Lightning Run 7. Mine Blower (new credit!) 8. Voyage (yes, trimless Voyage too) 9. Wild Eagle 10. Expedition Everest -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Midgetman82 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Welcome to TPR, where some words are very magical and change accordingly to something more appropriate! Mine was Mystic Timbers during Winterfest. Coaster riding in the freezing nighttime winter is a completely different coaster experience, along the ranks with riding during rain, fog, and anywhere close to midnight. -

I made a surprise swing by the park on Friday the 15th, partly to process my season pass, but doing so allowed me entry to Winterfest so I took advantage of it. Attacked by a hidden snowmaker sprinkling some magic down near the ice skating rink. Oh and yes, it was very cold, but I was layered aplenty and felt fine in the 30 degree weather. I quite enjoyed the event. Even though I had 3 hours to kill, I thought it was plenty with the amount of people that were there. I got to do plenty of walking around the park to take in the lights, snap some photos, watch some entertainers here and there, and finish off with 5 rides on Mystic Timbers. One thing I thought was interesting was how Mystic Timber's fast lane line was converted to a single-rider's line, and it sounded like a lot of people were unaware of it. Choosing it gave me a few 5 minute or less waits, compared to the 25 minute stand-by line (learned of the single rider line after waiting once in the regular line). The family-friendly/romantic/chill evening atmosphere the park had was quite nice. Though it would've been nice to get a much larger ride running like Diamondback, I could still tell the prime target audience this year was families with kids. Mystic Timbers being the thrilling "big kids" ride with a 48" height requirement. I do think opening something Delirium would go well with the thrill demographic, plus get some more people out at the area near Banshee. A long exposure of Scrambler. Long exposure of Zephyr A lot of pretty colors were all over the park. Honestly, the selective lighting made me forget about Diamondback even being there. I didn't mind that the much larger coasters weren't running since the focus of the event was centered on the activities and lights and such, though seeing it standing there unused was quite the tease. The lights up the Eiffel Tower changed colors and danced in patterns that almost looked like projections. Occasionally you'd see a vague figure of Santa's sleigh flying by via the lights. -
Fun Spot America Discussion Thread
Midgetman82 replied to jedimaster1227's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Last month on an RV trip to Disney World with some relatives, I had the chance to sneak away from Epcot for a couple of hours and ride an Uber to Fun Spot Kissimmee strictly for Mine Blower. Since it was a Monday evening, the ride was a walk-on, and they were very quick to get me on, lap it, and off. My last ride on it, they let me stay on and re-scanned my card for that last go. To sum it my thoughts, I'd be pretty redundant if I were to say it indeed blew my mind! That coaster was fantastic! So much action packed into such a small space! Also gotta love that sweet, sweet barrel roll over the station giving some hang time as well! As djcoastermark stated in his post, the ride's not "rough," but it is a little intense. Lots of quick directional changes, airtime hops, and laterals aplenty. Though having come from lapping Voyage at HW this year a few times this past Fall, I can say Mine Blower is nowhere on that level of roughness. I favored the backseat on this for the pop of airtime on the first drop, though getting to do both front and back seats on my 4 rides gave slightly differing rides. Still, this coaster's a sure winner for Kissimmee Fun Spot, and I'd absolutely advise anyone in the area to drop by for a few laps on it! First time on Timberliner train too. Seats were comfortable enough! Wasn't used to there being no seatbelt, especially for a coaster that inverts and pulls airtime, but it didn't keep me from lapping it 4 times! Loved it!! -

I don't know why, but I find it especially nifty that they're also getting electric car charging stations. I don't own an electric car, but I just find that alone pretty neat! Also excited to learn about the "big new maze" coming next year. Love the Halloween event, so I'm looking forward to the new maze, and hope it's as good as Carnival Chaos or Holidog's 3D Adventure. Of course, Voyage track improvements are also always welcomed and appreciated!
