  1. Driving in Germany is fine. I much prefer it to using public transport, at least for the majority of places you'll be going. The road and motorway system is very similar to our interstate system. Off the top of my head I would consider adding Hansa Park in northern Germany as it's a pretty cool park. Also, I don't know if you're dead set in staying in Germany, but very close by you'll find Toverland, Walibi World, etc.
  2. NTAG
  3. I stood in the sun, in 95 degrees, 95% humidity, on top of bricks in Taiwan. Then I was placed in a Saw trap on a roller coaster, where a nice Taiwanese man would wipe the sweat off of me and try to shoo away the bugs. Finally, I received 47 bug bites. No, it was not fun.
  4. KT, Megan, and Sarah tried to take down a Tyranitar last night (they literally ran out of the restaurant!)...they all came back with a lot of dead Pokemon and nothing else!
  5. Bummer about the restraints, bummer about the loop, bummer about the poor footage, and bummer it's still at Fuji Q. On the plus side...that launch! Ugh! I wish I didn't like it so much.
  6. Thank you for risking death and dismemberment to bring us this report.
  7. ^They're working on getting the Mango's Garage done first, then you'll see more progress on the other side of the street.
  8. ^I suppose this is reaction to the death at Drayton Manor. Thanks terrible children for ruining everything.
  9. What if I had June 16, 2018 in my pool!??!
  10. Funny you should mention that. Doing this trip actually made me REALLY want to do a NYC Trip, but the way we would do it and what we would include, it would just be too much money and I fear most of our coaster people wouldn't be interested enough. I mean, we saw a kiddie coaster, could have gone to Coney Island, but chose to do other stuff instead! I used to live in NYC so I love 'showing it off' to people and now reliving stuff through KT that I did at her age is weird/cool.
  11. +1 For the Baby Walrus! As for the VR...well, most of you know my feelings on VR in general. I'll give this a try but I fear the worst.
  12. Bummer if this turns out to be a Golden Horse ride. It would honestly knock Korea back down our list to return to.
  13. Curious to see if Ocean Park pulls bigger numbers in 2017. They opened up a metro station right at the park the last week of 2016 so I'd imagine that would help. They're also building a hotel. In fact, some people could have been turned off by the place in 2016 as it looked like a giant construction zone up front.
  14. I'm not a huge Marvel fan and have never seen either Guardians movie but I'm fine with this change. It was always kind of 'bad tower' anyways, and now at least all the Towers on the planet are different!
  15. You learned a very important child height restriction lesson. All humans shrink during the day! When you have a little one right at a height restriction it's important to get all of those borderline rides out of the way first before they shrink! Glad it worked out and you guys had fun!
  16. ^Cause those SLC's kept getting better and better, I'm sure this will too!
  17. As others have said, people who live in Valencia don't go to SFMM. All of my other 'mom' friends and their families all had passes to Disney or Legoland but didn't entertain the thought of bringing their small children to Six Flags. The park doesn't have the best reputation amongst the better areas in the Santa Clarita Valley. For a while they were actively trying to change their image and go after the Valencia residents, but that stopped and they went back to appealing to other demographics.
  18. I really hope they figure out the virtual queue. It looks unusable right now from your report and a ton of other people online. I'm also a little bummed that you have to have a tube for the lazy river. I never understood that policy especially as it seems so random that some parks do it and some parks don't. We're really looking forward to trying the park out once they get all of the issues fixed, it looks great!
  19. ^I'm not Robb but Skyrush is much more intense and has a lot more airtime. Flying Aces is a lot of fun and a great solid ride, but not the same crazy intensity that Skyrush has.
  20. ^Oh trust me, a lot of us have been talking about the height restrictions. Universal advertises itself as the 'older kids' park and I guess they're doubling down on that with the crazy height restrictions. We had people at the park the last couple of days. I would think that most people who are on this board are smart enough NOT to go yet until the kinks get worked out. There are a lot of growing pains which is why perhaps you don't see too much written here. The park has a ton of potential if they can make it work. Look for a big TR coming soon.
  21. We have a member there preparing a full Photo and Video Trip Report from yesterday and today. There are A LOT of issues today that hopefully they can work out quickly with a holiday weekend fast approaching.
  22. ^Ok, that helps. Then I would start researching what I suggested. You can most likely get a really decent, cheap flight into either NYC, DC, PHL, or RIC. You'll want to hit: NYC Six Flags Great Adventure Jersey Shore Washington DC Six Flags America (maybe) Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kings Dominion Kings Island Cedar Point Kennywood Hersheypark Knoebels Dorney Philly That's a really solid 2.5 week trip. Look at those a bit and when you have some more details we can help further.
  23. Guys, let it go. Quick, someone bring up the locker situation!
