Photo TR: Gardaland and Mirabilandia

I really like Mirabilandia. I feel like the Italians don't like it or visit it nearly as much as Gardaland. I kind of see what you're saying about Gardaland feeling like a more full park, but Mirabilandia's attractions, food, shows, and staff have always seemed better to me. Nice TR, thanks for sharing. -

The thing I remember most from this park was how terrible the food was. Has that improved at all recently? -

Was that the fun water playground? If so, kind of a bummer. More kids can enjoy that than another kiddie coaster. -

If the park is open and the photos were taken from guest areas...then go for it! -
It was pretty easy, you just go into settings and turn it on when you want to use it. It didn't work perfectly, you may need a few phone resets here and there, but we didn't get Chinese Sim cards or anything crazy.

If you're going to base for Hershey and Knoebels (we understand, when we do tours people like to not have to pack and unpack a ton) we use the Days Inn Lebanon / Fort Indiantown Gap. It's quite decent for a Days Inn and a convenient location for all three parks. I also agree with Bill to hit up Dorney on your way back. https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/days-inn/jonestown-pennsylvania/days-inn-lebanon-fort-indiantown-gap/overview

^Wow. They really need to get Robb out there to film and produce a better video. They took what, to me, is one of the coolest installations of the year worldwide (come on, a dueling racing alpine coaster!!!!) and made it look shaky, rough, slow, and uninteresting. I know this ride is much better than the video. -
Yeah, you know how I feel about simulators, but this basically moves more than almost any other simulator on the planet. I spent half of my second ride just looking behind me at the mechanics of the ride vehicle which was incredible. Plus with the different seats it makes it feel like a real ride. Now that being said, towards the end of the ride you do this crazy barrel role maneuver and that quickly reminds me that I'm on a simulator and about to feel nauseous! Luckily that's right at the end!

Wow, that's pretty ballsy! I mean, the launch already feels like getting hit by a truck, I assume now it will feel like getting hit by a larger truck!?!? -
^I think you should do a little more research and find out that in the UAE, that law is very rarely enforced. We have taken many gay males to the country and never had an issue. Also, important to note that heterosexual couples (not married) have very similar penalties. So as long as you aren't doing anything crazy in public (hetero or homo), you won't be questioned or have any problems.

Bill, back to the Lake George Great Escape Hotel, I imagine they're STILL hurting from all of the negative publicity and all of the articles when you search for them on the web from the big Noro outbreak, lawsuits, etc. Fun fact: If you type in "Great Escape Hotel La...." the fourth thing down that autofills is bed bugs!

^^The cave tour also takes a decent chunk of time out of your day, but can be well worth it if it's hot out! -

^I believe that Europa Park used the Happy Family movie as part of their VR as well. Did it ever even come out here in the states? -
I started boarding after skiing was taking a toll on my knees and my mother tore her ACL skiing (which means I have a greater chance now too!). I really suck, and it's a horrible learning curve. From what I've been told, it's harder to learn but once you do you can advance quickly as opposed to skiing which you can learn quickly, but then takes forever to get skiing advanced runs. I'm just now comfortable riding the lift and skiing higher level green, but felt like I was starting over with the indoor snow. I would go back to skiing in a second if I thought my knees could take it.

Inside Ski Dubai it was in the 30's. Quite comfortable for skiing. They give you pants and a jacket that you just throw over your clothes. I brought gloves from home and they recommend a hat or helmet but I didn't need that. Outside we had some weird temps for this time of year. Some days the highs were normal in the mid-90's, but some days we had rain and highs only in the 70's which is pretty much unheard of. The airport was even flooding as we were departing! There's a lot of random cloud seeding and terra forming going on over there, mix that in with global warming and it's a good thing they have so much to do indoors!
