This is our new normal...let's just hope they keep the metal detectors at the front only and not at the rides! -
I'd like some more details. I want to make sure that you don't HAVE to ride with VR, because if you do, and with the Six Flags VR age restrictions they've just cut out about 6 years worth of riders that can ride. Also, maybe a separate queue for VR? I don't need this ride to all of a sudden have a two hour line for me to ride with out the goggles! If there's any Six Flags park that can at least pull this off right it's Great Adventure, so here's to hoping for the best!

The UAE is one of the Muslim countries our president loves because he has a golf resort and gets money from them! We did a good 'US Apology Tour' while there, and it was interesting how so many people thought EVERYONE in the US voted for Trump. We explained that less than half of the country voted for him and don't share his values. So we're trying to help with how the world views Americans!

Mega coaster trip 2017 help.
SharkTums replied to thrillrider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have to be honest, I can't really help here because this trip looks miserable to me. Soooo much driving for a lot of B parks. But, it's your vacation and your money so go for it! Also, hotel prices are up everywhere and that area near California's Great America has always been expensive. -
^If you're already planning to go next month you should probably stick with that! We won't be doing a big European Tour again this year.

^Her fears are justified in a different muslim country, or even the UAE 5+ years ago, but today the place is very touristy, liberal, and safe. As long as you don't break the rules, there's nothing that will happen to you. Respect their culture (without being scared of it) and it's fine. That means no drugs, no public intoxication, no big PDA, etc. There was no place on this trip that I felt uncomfortable as a woman/mother/american/etc. On our last trip some of the sketchy malls with kiddie credits were a bit 'local' with many men looking at us, but we avoided that crap this time around! I'm happy to answer any other questions she may have.

^Kennywood has some good flats and walk throughs that are pretty unique.
-
I don't really think I'd call Kennywood a 'small park'. It depends on park hours the day you're looking at, traffic in Pittsburgh, and how much you want to do other than coasters.

I gotta be honest here...WHY WOULD YOU WAIT FOUR HOURS FOR THAT RIDE?!?!?! This is a pass holder preview night, so all of these people should be able to easily come back again another day!!! Go enjoy the rest of the park empty and ride the new ride some other time. It will be there for awhile!!!! -

There's no way this loop will be as good as the Heimlich maneuver airtime hill that used to be there. -

Also, we were reminded that Kraken Unleashed (VR) opens in Mid-June! A few things... - The VR will be OPTIONAL - There will be a new virtual queue (they are developing it in house) for the VR - The story will mix Kraken and Journey to Atlantis - Paper Mache Kraken will be leaving us!!!!! And now some photos they shared with us... The super scary main bad guy dinosaur thing you'll encounter when of course, something goes wrong! These next few are actual screen grabs from the VR. This is the base of the sub that you'll be piloting. BUT SOMETHING GOES WRONG!!!!
