Heide Park Discussion Thread

Merlin. I get that they make some big B&M investments at the parks they have bought and manage, but overall I feel that they are charm killers and have brought lots of problems to parks. Heide had all of this really great German charm/weirdness and I feel like they're pulling it out with Dreamworks and now Ghostbusters and now whatever is happening with Colossos. -

^Exactly. The park already has two world class coasters and one/two 'other' ones. This is a nice replacement for the drop tower. -
The main drawback of using one of the online/actual Travel Agencies is that you no longer have the right to talk directly to Royal Caribbean (or whichever line you're booking). They will insist that you go through your agent. If there are any problems or questions or concerns you have to go an extra step which can take a day or two (or more with some of those online agencies). We have a specific cruise only guy we use because we've used him for years, he's quick to respond, and can offer us better deals than you can get directly though the cruise line. That being said, there have been a few times I've wanted to jump on a price reduction or change something and I miss out because I have to go through him instead of the company directly.

Let me know when we have a specific time frame so I know how much time to put KT on the stretching rack every day to get her to 54". Honestly, this has been the strong rumor for a long time, it's finally just getting some more legitimacy. I don't even know how I feel. Dragons have been dead to me since potter, and even more dead to me since the metal detectors. It's just so upsetting as I have such wonderful memories of riding those coasters in the early 2000's but since those riding conditions will never be duplicated there again they might as well put something else in its place.

Heide Park Discussion Thread

This is pretty shocking news. I'd love to hear some more concrete reasons as to why. -
^Typhoon Lagoon and BB both seem to be on the one new attraction every 10-15 years plan and this coincides with that. I really believe that Disney does not see Universal as competition as much as enthusiasts seem to believe. Disney is not 'reactionary' towards anything Universal is doing. They have long, long term plans and seem to stick close to them.

How's everyone doing with Gen2? According to the medals we've got 59 from the Johto Region.

Did that movie do well in the UK? I don't think most people in the US even remember that film.
