I have loved Hansa park since our first visit in 2005, and it just keeps improving at a crazy pace. Glad you also had a wonderful time and appreciated all of their crazy rides!
Great start, I always love reading first timers trip reports!
Just an FYI - it is NOT Tokyo Tower in that picture with Sky Tree, they are on opposite sides of the city.
I agree with what others have said. It's a good park, but with so much other greatness nearby it would be hard to recommend going there over another park. Now, they're on the right track with Star Trek and if they can RMC that god awful woodie then it all of a sudden really becomes a destination!
Growing up going to Sesame Place in PA which at that time was also very much a water park this kind of brings back some nostalgia. Honestly, parks should use their IP's, especially one as strong and great as Sesame Street.
Also, the food! I was really impressed with the lunch we had at the park both the food and the service. It really was a great park that none of us expected to be so awesome.
We went to two 'parks' while in Cuba last year. One was closed but opens a lot, and one was closed and most stuff was removed and it look VERY closed, but still opens some attractions at times. Honestly, there was nothing worth riding or even going out of your way for.
I'm a little sad that they're basically giving up on the 'girl lego' section, but I get it. The hotels are super fun, glad the boys enjoyed it almost as much as you!
Great first part! I really do love the legoland parks.
And as someone with a kid, I totally get the frustrating height restrictions thing. It's everywhere!!!
Basically everyone switches at Caribbean Beach. That's where the mechanics for all three separate lines are. If you board at Caribbean Beach heading to Riviera and Epcot you STAY in your gondola at Riviera and people may or may not be added to it at that hotel once it's open. They do NOT make you get off and get back on at Riviera when you're heading to Epcot.
When it's busy with a line, they do group you so that there are up to 10 in each gondola. When it's quieter they don't put as many in. It has also been reported that they've been good with letting people request and wait for certain gondolas.
I think maintenance plays a factor, but obviously we have to look at something here if two VERY similar rides by the same manufacturer both have deadly accidents in the same way.
