  1. Great question! Yes, people take their time examining the stuffed animals to find the 'perfect' one. And also yes, my shrimp is the best!
  2. ^^Very well put together. It seems everything today must be over sensationalized or people just don't care. It's like what we're accustomed to at this point. ^I don't think that's actually that rare, I mean, pretty much every time I'm at an amusement park I see someone injured or requiring medical attention. When you put that many people together in an unfamiliar setting stuff happens. We have a rule even just in our three person family that it's not a trip to the water park until someone's bleeding...and we're experienced park goers!
  3. The park is still there, but Blue Fall and Surf Coaster are down for various reasons for months and it's been reported that they may not reopen. Word is Surf Coaster had a small crash in the station which injured two people. That's a death sentence for a ride in Japan. Apparently they also got some negative press since they recently got a pair of Red Pandas and one of them already died. I think they've had animal rights and press problems for a while since they also removed the dolphins from the pedalo area. It seems like such a weird gray area in Japan about animal rights. On one hand, they have super small animal enclosures in most zoos, hunt/capture whales and dolphins, and seem to LOVE visiting said aquariums and zoos, but then parks like Space World and Sea Paradise get skewered in the Japanese media about animal issues!??! I'm sure it's a cultural thing that I don't understand but it does seem a bit odd.
  4. ^No. There's actually no pass that's good at ALL the parks. Tokyo Disney tickets are 'cheap' enough (especially compared to here in the US) that it wasn't even cheaper to buy a pass for this year with our visits in March and October. Trust me, we did the math! For example, the after 6pm ticket is $40. The annual pass is $900 (and has blackout dates). That's a LOT of visits to make your money back.
  5. TDS without Journey is still better than 99% of the parks on the planet so don't be bummed or depressed. Just plan to go back!
  6. Very well said, we can all take pictures that make anything look that empty. Are there slightly less crowds due to the protests, of course. Is Disney a super ghost town and failing because of the protests? No.
  7. This was my favorite part of the report. Hi Adam! How are those trash can photos doing!?!?
  8. Not surprisingly, their Miniland was just incredible. I’ve been to most of the Legoland’s out there and while this one was quite small it made up for it with just amazing displays.
  9. Let me know when Duffy adds an adorable shrimp tail that is depressed and likes to stay in the corner to his list of friends. Then I will happily carry one around the park.
  10. ^I think you are probably the only person on the planet that would choose Energylandia over Europa Park!!!!!! Wow.
  11. Looking at this TR makes me want to go back to Legendia! I still can't believe how amazing Lech Coaster was. It *ALMOST* makes me forgive Vekoma for the 100's of SLC's and Boomerangs they've created. That's just how good it is. Plus the pierogis at the restaurant next to the coaster were soooooo delicious. I really hope they keep going in this direction as the park has so much potential. Ok, let's go back now!
  12. I miss Japan...good thing we're going back real soon!
  13. ^I'm assuming he just added an extra zero by accident. $25 though is more than we've ever paid for a skip the line pass at FujiQ, I wonder if it's dynamic pricing or just that high now!
  14. ^Maybe they were appreciating their guests by not making them go to Clementon! Interesting though...
  15. Interesting report, I just can't do any of these cons as it's way too many people and I'm not a people person!!
  16. ^The rides are closed until "at least November" according to the website. At FujiQ you can get them at vending machines individually outside the big coasters or all of them are available at a central booth near the mouse and carousel. Nagashima offers a skip line pass on Steel Dragon and Hakugei (maybe the Manta clone too!?) when the line is over 30min. We've never seen that so don't know how/where they actually sell them.
  17. The park is still there, but Blue Fall and Surf Coaster are down for various reasons for months and it's been reported that they may not reopen. Word is Surf Coaster had a small crash in the station which injured two people. That's a death sentence for a ride in Japan.
  18. Those two rides may be down forever. =( Toshimaen has always been the park strictest about Tattoos in the whole country. It's always the park I tell our trip participants that they need to cover up before we get there.
  19. Glad to hear T-Express is still the awesome mix of El Toro and Balder! I hope they continue to take care of it. You have way more patience than I do for some of those wait times though. The only way I'll even tolerate FujiQ is with the express passes for ALL the coasters. Especially if I'm going to get beat up on them in the process!
  20. Really great, honest report! The park has a LOT of potential, it's just soooo odd!
  21. Put me in charge, I swear, honestly, I could do a better job at this point!
