A few quick questions to get us started in helping out... - Are you thinking of just staying in Tokyo on this trip? To be honest, 10 days with Disney and zoos and tourist stuff you could easily never leave Tokyo. - Are you comfortable taking trains? - If you'll be leaving the Tokyo area are you looking at day trips or are you willing to switch hotels? - Do you want to see Panda's?

Great report! A couple of notes... - This day we transferred WITH our luggage as we wanted to make sure we had it all same day to check in to the hotel early enough. - The 'speed' of the trains on the Shinkansen line we were on are all the same. What makes the Nozomi (no rail passes allowed) trains 'faster' is that they make less stops. So again the speed is the same, it's the duration that's shorter. Does that make sense? When we head north of Tokyo on the Shinkansen (not this trip but on others) we go on Shinkansen trains that actually travel at a faster speed than any of the ones you're not allowed to with the rail pass on the busier lines. - Japanese toilets are terrifying but amazing. - Minion themed rooms would give me nightmares and I will never book them!

I like that they threw some shade at Coney Island that it "burned down", yeah that had a lot to do with Luna Park in Seattle closing!!!

^^I know one of my facebook friends wrote to the park after this was announced as he has a trip coming up there and they told him nothing was scheduled to be down at this time. Obviously that could change any day and who knows if whoever is answering email knows what they are talking about but I'm guessing this is a 'minimal' retheme and won't affect ride operations too much.

Getting rid of the show is dumb on many levels. I'm so mad at humanity.

They're honestly lucky they didn't injure or kill anyone. Those are guest areas and significant damage!!!

This ride is insane, anything they can do to keep it going for the future is appreciated. I know that some times it barely works and there were rumors of getting rid of it so hopefully this extended downtime will actually bring it back to full glory and keep it going.

I kind of love this!? I mean, it's a good brand for an amusement park and their 'space' theme was pretty sparse so...

^You can't say that now! That's the worst part about them almost actually finishing the Meadowlands project! Now granted, maybe our grandchildren will get to see this and by then it will be beach front property due to global warming but it could happen!

Zootopia was VERY popular in China and most of Asia. The amount of Judy and Nick cosplay we saw in Japan in October was crazy. I'm sure they did their research and know what their people want.

^^&^ Exactly, I'm thinking Adam must have run into some extraordinary conditions or problems. I mean, he's right, the operations on that ride aren't super capacity amazing, but Express should never have been more than like 40 min (which is what I believe we waited during the Christmas busy holiday season once).

Why is all of the food in Japan amazingly themed, amazing, and detailed!?!? The Chomp Mitten for the Turkey Leg is incredible and I almost bought some of that Jaws food last time even though I wouldn't eat it just because I loved the presentation so much!

Paradise Pier was also a conversion of an older hotel into a Disney Property. If you're going to go for the first time in 25 years and with your girls, go for the Disneyland Hotel. There is something just kind of more special about it.

^^You're certainly not concerned over nothing. SFMM notoriously will close in rain. Californians do not do well in rain. That being said, if there are a lot of people booked for the park or it's busy enough they may not. Also, weather has been so unpredictable lately that I wouldn't freak out just yet, wait till like two days before and look at the forecast again.

I would remove that ride just to remove that woman from the park!
