  1. Not sure how long it takes to order these, but could it be possible that it was already being built and the 200 foot one is entirely new, leaving them with a 150 one to put somewhere?
  2. You guys are being way too logical about this. Doing what seeems smart is the last thing Six Flags would do. I give it a better chance of going right next to Scream at SFMM than SFSTl.
  3. ^ It's replacing the Tak Attack roto shake.
  4. ^ Are you seriously suggesting he build a ride themed to erotic films?
  5. ^ As RollerCoasterSmi said it's already been sold to a park in France. http://www.rcdb.com/10396.htm
  6. The speed slides are gone. http://www.screamscape.com/html/cp-2012_2.htm
  7. My home park has both a rapids and a splash battle and on days when the rapids is a full line, the splash battle is a walk on. Rapids are pretty popular, I don't see them leaving soon. Plus, they're low to the ground, so if the park really needed land they could fit coasters over them and still keep the rapids in.
  8. La Ronde announced today that for 2012 they will add the 150 foot "Vol Ultime" (Ultimate Flight) star flyer to the park. http://www.laronde.com/larondeen/vol_ultime.asp La Ronde's new logo.
  9. Park calendar is on the site: Opening Day - May 5 Hurricane Harbor - May 26 to Sept 2 Fright Fest Opening Day - September 29 Closing Day - October 28
  10. I don't have answers to them all but.. 1. The cars are gone. Off the site, stations gone, in the ride graveyard, their dead. 4. Considering their past history with removing rides, everything but the ride will probably be standing. 5. I haven't heard any Sky Screamer rumors, I think that was more of a guess then a true rumor. I've heard rumors about 2013, but neither include Sky Screamer.
  11. Even on its own it's a good park, but adding Gaga, that just makes it perfect.
  12. I really think people are blowing this "ride rotation" thing out of proportion. Remember, when it first happened, new rides where bought and then only spent 2-3 years in a park before moving to a new one. Unless Goliath, Apocalypse, and Big Spin all move again in 2015, I don't think its really back. I think it's just the new management recognizing that some rides could do better elsewhere, something that the old management wasn't great at.
  13. This has me even more excited for 2012. - X Flight opening before expected and having new effects not originally promoted is fantastic to hear, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the theming complete. - Expanded Fright Fest into Roaring Rapids and HH is great as I love the event and both could bring great new experiences 2012 seems like it will be a great year for the park, and it's nice to see them expanding and making changes besides X Flight. Q&A from NCC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YG-xDPi4sM Highlights from the Q&A - An exit from Hurricane Harbor to the parking lot has been considered many times and may be implemented - A new program or promotion to help educate guests about options for young kids outside of the kiddie areas will be implemented - They really want to bring in a food pass, and will probably be in place for the 2012 season - Massacre Medical Center did very well for the park and they plan to build off of the success of it, as well as using new areas to spread out crowds - New coaster blueprints will be sold next year! - Flash Pass procedures will have some alterations, seems like the current system on Viper has been giving them some trouble
  14. They were teasing something on their Facebook awhile ago. Link
  15. ^ It's a Vekoma. They're listed under companies supplying rides. Proslide and Whitewater will supply the actual slides.
  16. A few random facts about SFGAm- - When Little Dipper opened, it was the parks newest and oldest coaster. - The old Skyride station is now a funnel cake stand. - Whirligig has moved three times - After 10:30, Vipers lift chain slows at the top of the first drop - Whizzer used to run 5 trains
  17. Its not gonna be closed the whole year...just while Drop of Doom is being constructed, and probably some time after to test the two together.
  18. Link Picture credit to greatadventurehistory.com
  19. Goliath's gone vertical! Link and more pictures
  20. The ride it's being replaced with, Swing Buggy, looks like its pretty much the exact same thing. http://www.powersmidways.com/pages/rides-pages/spectacular-pages/swing-buggy.html
  21. Two large supports for the first drop, and some more track have gone up! Looks like they're just starting at a random point of the ride, instead of with the station like the other B&Ms built this year have. I'd guess the ride going over and under itself and track on both sides of the station have something to do with it.
