  1. Those are the supports on Demon's turnaround. The only supports up are close to the track. Also, notice the trench next to the first small support, a water feature perhaps?
  2. I've logged in and out a few times and it's still not working. I'll just shoot them an email about it.
  3. Are you guys able to play everything? I made an account but every time I go to a game it says I need to be logged in to play.
  4. ^ They've been saying for a while on Facebook that it won't open until Memorial day weekend, which is the usual opening day for their new rides. I don't really see what the problem is, it's on a tuesday, so the park won't even be open to the general public.
  5. Looks like for the 2012 season Rainbow Magicland will work on fixing a lot of the kinks from the first season. Link Full Article Great to see the park not only expanding with a new ride, but doing a lot of work to improve capacity and guest experiences.
  6. - Doctor Who season 2 DVD - Doctor Who Visual Dictionary - Simpsons Season 13 DVD - Dalek poster - Simpsons Chief Wiggum Book - Simpsons 2012 calendar - $100 for Ebay - $100 for whatever - Atari shirt - Big Bang Theory shirt - $10 Target gift card - Lots of chocolate - Jeff Dunham DVD And the best thing.. Over two pounds of Sour Patch Kids.
  7. 22/26 Probably one of my best quiz scores, just got stumped on a few of the obscure ones.
  8. ^Here's what the inside of the bowl looks like: http://www.whitewaterwest.com/spacebowl.html
  9. Link I think this is a very smart move for the park. It's something with high capacity, provides something for everyone, and brings some modern slides into the park. I'm excited to finally have the chance to ride a Boomerango, and hopefully that and the raft slide will help reduce the wait for the current two, which can get very long and slow lines. The bowl slide looks like great fun too, as it seems to be one of the models with a ladder inside, instead of dropping you any which way into a pool below.
  10. Link The other Holidays in the Park seem pretty popular, so this could be a good move for the park. Plus, it shows that the new management are investing and have interest in the park.
  11. ^ I think part of the problem is timing. Ideally, the park would switch off between family and thrill rides. But by doing a few years of thrills, and then a few years of family rides, you're leaving one demographic hanging for a while, and not adding much of particular interest to them.
  12. ^ I beg to differ, how awesome does that look!
  13. ^ Not sure where that's coming from, a lot of people like SFFT, there's just not a huge amount of stuff to talk about lately. The CGA thread just has a lot of discussion at the moment because of the sales and 49ers situation. One question, do we have a definite height for Sky Screamer? The website still says 200 feet, but a while back Screamscape pointed out that in at 26 seconds in, they promote that ride as being 15 stories tall. It'd be a shame if they got stuck with a smaller one so Great Adventure could have a taller one, especially since it's the only ride they're getting next year.
  14. Parkz.com.au posted some great photos of the ride and the surrounding area. It just has a simple storyline, that Paralax is attacking the earth and you have to fight him. Looks like they have a few comic boards up like Six Flags did, and a really cool looking comic themed station to explain it. http://www.parkz.com.au/photos/AU/Gold_Coast/Warner_Bros_Movie_World/1478-Green_Lantern/page14.html
  15. Looking back at older posts in the thread, the early tests had it running at 130km/hr, and then when it was set to open in June of this year, it would run at 160km/hr, and then work its way up to the 217 km/hr in 2012, so they might have been having troubles with it at slower launch speeds as well. I don't know if running it slower than 130 km/hr is possible without it roll-backing though.
  16. I'm confused, is this the same park as this: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58672&p=1057285 Or did that fall through and Perth just really wants a billion dollar resort?
  17. ^ It's a little different at halloween, because when you decide to go to a halloween event, you should expect stuff like that. Although..SFGAM's 4 giant spiders do face the highway and not the park.. I completely understand that people have fears of spiders, but I think it'll be ok for the majority of park guests. This isn't the first ride themed to spiders, and I haven't heard of any problems with rides with similar themes. Personally, I just find the theme a bit weird for this type of ride, unless it's supposed to be a spider swinging from it's web? But if it's just a bare giant discovery, the name Black Widow seems a bit out of place to me. Regardless, I'm sure it'll be a great thrill and good addition to the park.
  18. It's also a lot more work to go to the water park, especially if you just wanna cool down. Look at Great America, we have a pretty big waterpark, and it's free with admission, but on hot summer days 3/4 of our water rides will have full queues. It's pretty important to offer water rides outside of the water park.
  19. They are, the lady bugs are backstage and some of the ride cars were in between Condor and Superman this summer, not sure if they were moved or not. I'd be surprised if they already scrapped any of them, they seem to hold on to things for a few years. I'd like to see a few of them put in the old areas with kiddie rides like HTS near Orbit, or the bees back in YH. SWT could use a kiddie ride too. But I think the ladybugs might be done for, as those closed after the 2009 season, and the rest closed after the 2010 season.
  20. ^ There's a flat, food stands, and train station right next to IW, so it's not totally empty. Something will go there eventually, but it'll sit empty next year. I just hope they make some effort to clean it up and not leave it abandoned like SWF.
  21. ^ In the fifth IAAPA video they said it was Six Flags who ordered one train for the ride and Premier thought it would it include a transfer track as it'd be perfect for the ride.
  22. Wow, those log flume supports look amazing, really well done. One suggestion, I'd remove the slight slope on the end of the spikes on the shuttle loop. If you look at real shuttle loops, they have the same slope for the entire spike. http://www.rcdb.com/798.htm?p=1284
  23. Last play won a ball, nice to send it off with a win. Good bye for now Santa Claw, hopefully we'll meet again.
  24. Wow, that's pretty rude. I think swatting the balls away is ok, because the player wouldn't get it anyways, and a lot seem to get thrown back in by people in the gallery, but dropping a wrapped prize actually gets you something, so having some idiot take that away from you would be a huge bummer. And it's something that could have been so easily prevented too.
  25. ^ Looks like there's a drop after the in-line. It's hard to tell from the track at that angle, but the supports get shorter as it goes towards the cobra roll.
