  1. I'm one of those sentimental people who often gets all emotional upon spotting a park or carnival. Two of my favorite skylines are those of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Magic Mountain. Of course, I always enjoy being greeted by an impressive woodie. Who doesn't love a wooden coaster?
  2. It's Chocolate Cream Pie Day!
  3. Thanks for taking over, everybody. Sorry I didn't post. I'll try to avoid guessing unless I know I'm wrong. ^Is that...a Cheater?
  4. I'm impressed! Great pictures too! I'd love to accomplish something similar, although I'm not sure how hard I'll try. As of today, I still have 86 coasters to go (soon to be more).
  5. Sound the Alarm - Psychopathic Rydas
  6. Although my preference is for the least restrictive seating possible, seat dividers have never bothered me. That said, it's fun to ride single on one of the wilder ACE Coaster Classics and see where on the bench you end up during different parts of the ride.
  7. ^I've ridden it two years in a row and it was a bit disappointing this year. That said, I still love it!
  8. ^^I'm no park food expert but I enjoyed my Pronto Pups meal at Indiana Beach. I just learned the company was founded in my hometown. I'm not surprised the park has other good options; there were enticing food smells throughout and I've heard great things about the tacos.
  9. I believe the item on the left is a pumpkin carver!
  10. Jaguar at Knott's Berry Farm is so boring, I forgot to even count it as a credit.
  11. Overall, I found Silver Dollar City to have the best food options. It was beyond easy to snack my way through the park as Robb recommended. The cinnamon bread is 100% worthy of the glowing praise it consistently receives!
  12. It was hard to decide what's worthy of my list, but here are some of my favorite California Disney attractions plus a sampling of themed coasters. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror it's a small world Space Mountain Indiana Jones Fire In The Hole Dark Knight (SFGAm) Ice Mountain Bobsled Quicksilver Express Flight Deck (CGA) Really though, I'd go crazy trying to list all the Disneyland and Silver Dollar City rides that feature impressive theming.
  13. The most boring family/thrill coasters I've ridden are: Corkscrew at Valleyfair (although I appreciate the scenery) Klondike Gold Rusher at Wild Waves Theme Park Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis Wildcat at Puyallup Fair Pony Express at Knott's Berry Farm My least favorite wooden coasters are American Eagle at SFGAm and Grizzly at CGA.
  14. Here are some new ones from me: Raging Bull's first drop in the back row Voyage's first and second drops, especially in the back Mamba's second drop in the ejector seat GCI first drops Eurofighter first drops Unexpected dark coaster drops, like on Fire in the Hole, and backwards drops "The" drop on Cyclops in the back row--not necessarily my favorite, but certainly as advertised
  15. ^You could also baffle almost any typist by switching the keyboard language to Dvorak.
  16. Coaster Thrill Ride at the Puyallup Fair on Monday, September 20.
  17. Here are some recent contenders for me: Voyage: My favorite coaster, but not my head and arms' favorite coaster. Timber Wolf: Another fun coaster, but the first drop is intense in a bad way. Hellcat: 3.1 provides an enjoyable ride, but the very back row is harsh.
  18. David, YAYYY is right! Cyclone Sam's is the PROWLER of flat rides. I'm glad so many of us got to check it out. Speaking of mysterious rides in the dark...When I first saw a Starship 2000, I was actually expecting it to be a space-themed dark ride with little rocket cars, like an indoor Dumbo ride. When I got in I realized it was more like a Round-Up. When I rode it...well, let's just say I didn't regret it.
  19. The Middle America trip has given me a few new favorites. The following three ride types are intense and still scare me! Sidewinder at Adventureland--a Frisbee knockoff by Moser. Any intense Top Spin-style ride. The best ones I've ridden are Splash Over at Adventureland, Riptide at Valleyfair, and Wind Surf at a Butler Amusements carnival (California State Fair). Screamin Swings--I've ridden Giant Barn Swing at Silver Dollar City, Apollo's Swing at Mt. Olympus, and Xtreme Swing at Valleyfair. Beautiful scenery makes the ones at SDC and VF stand out. Last but not least, here is a ride that is intense and incredibly fun, but not particularly scary: Cyclone Sam's at Worlds of Fun. It's an indoor Wipeout with ridiculous airtime and laterals. Word traveled fast regarding the epicism of this ride!
  20. Rebel Yell - Billy Idol
  21. ^You may be in the minority, but you're definitely not alone. I'm no Technician but I do enjoy Tech N9ne. I'd say my favorite songs are Caribou Lou and T9X.
  22. I'll say yes, but I'm not going to try to spell it phonetically. "Coton de Tulear" has a very pleasing pronunciation, by the way. Do you know how to pronounce "Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen"?
  23. Yes, I have heard of a Coton de Tulear. Even before just now. Do you know how to pronounce "Coton de Tulear"?
  24. Like: GIBs and Invertigos Dislike: Boomerangs and SLCs I know not all Vekomas are rough, but that's not my issue with them. I simply find most to be slightly above average at best, decidedly boring at worst.
  25. 1. Renegade (18 times; 17 times in a row) 2. Prowler (14 times in a row) 3. Evel Knievel (14 times; 13 times in a row) 4. Raging Bull (10 times; 9 times in a row) 5. Giant Dipper (10 times; 6 times in a row) I just noticed that my top four most ridden rides overall are GCIs. And to think I started out as a CCI fanatic.
