  1. Story of Our Lives - Twiztid
  2. I think that's the most bizarre assortment of traveling coasters I've ever seen! I'd love to attend a fair with that ride collection.
  3. Grrrrrr! I never did get a letter pic! I hope the letters show up in good time, in a good location. I'll be sure to check them out...and get a damn picture!
  4. The only show I've been consistently watching this season is The Apprentice. Shows I enjoy occasionally, or have enjoyed in the recent past, include: Criminal Minds Law & Order Cold Case Without a Trace The Office The Apprentice NCIS About the crime shows: Criminal Minds is easily my favorite...and I really don't know why I haven't watched CSI lately.
  5. Hmm, obviously it depends on the person, since some people aren't nerdy enough to want anything park-related, and some want anything and everything, and some have niche interests that might mean nothing to most other enthusiasts. So I'll just make a list of what I might potentially be interested in. (Feel free to PM me for my address. Just kidding...) --Anything from TPR --Payment for Club TPR renewal --Coaster trip (this could mean anything from a fat check to a specific trip with the giver) --Books on any subject relating to the hobby (coaster, park, fair, industry, etc.) --Anything else with great photos or history information --Memorabilia --Tasteful posters, artwork or decor --Merchandise such as t-shirts (the less tacky the better...in most cases, anyway) --A roller coaster Yeah, I'm not expecting much of this unless I put in a specific request or just use gift money to buy it. But maybe my brainstorming will help other gift-givers.
  6. Those coasters look niice from backstage! Thanks for sharing your shots! That tour almost killed me because of the heat, but in retrospect it was totally worthwhile!
  7. ^I believe that's the first I've heard of any kind of Antarctic tourism. I thought only researchers went there. I kind of seriously want to go to Antarctica now. We'll see if I still want to once I actually have the time and money...
  8. Good news, and I'm looking forward to it. No need to hurry, though. I don't think there's anything wrong with it being later, really.
  9. Opaque Brotherhood - Dark Lotus
  10. Yay for more Middle America updates! Great photos and captions as always.
  11. I know posting here won't change anything, but I'm also curious. I love filling out the ballots!
  12. All the Rest - Twiztid (good song, but not their best by any means)
  13. OzCat is stunning, and it sounds like it was a great ride. I stared it down on my way to SDC, which was mildly fun, but mostly saddening. I actually also like the look of Thunderbolt. After all, it's a Hurricane! Love those. I've heard it would not be practical to move OzCat, due to the terrain it's built on. At any rate, I would love to get a chance to ride it!
  14. I love TRs like this, although I must admit they make me sad. The train photos were especially heart-wrenching. I definitely wouldn't miss a chance to explore this kind of place, myself! Thanks for sharing!
  15. Add me to the list of people who would love for this to happen. It irks me that this hasn't worked out so far and may never, but it's best just not to think about it. The layout looks great and if it would ride anything like Prowler...WOW.
  16. I'm glad this park keeps adding to what already seems to be a decent coaster collection (at least in number; not the worst in quality, either). At this point I'm considering a 2012 visit (especially if rumors come true), although of course I wouldn't refuse a 2011 visit if that happened to work out for me.
  17. Site's up now. I...don't even know what to think.
  18. ^Well I guess there's no need for me to post a photo of mine, since I got exactly what you got (plus a little more)! The "little more" would include, among other things, a lovely 90 Degrees shirt I'm wearing right now! Yay fast shipping! Can't wait to check out the DVDs! Thanks TPR!
  19. ^There is actually a thread about that! I've only ridden the SCBB Dipper, and I absolutely love it! I found it to have strong airtime on nearly every drop. However, I don't consider the coaster "intense" at all...just "fun". Even the stand-up airtime didn't really make me feel like I'd be thrown. Maybe it's the Morgan trains (which don't bother me at all, but perhaps are a little less open than some of the other trains with shared lap bars).
  20. You can be assured that I love all my prizes! I appreciate the sweet card, too! Welp, hopefully I've gotten my thanks across well enough! And I look forward to your next update!
  21. I was surprised to notice that including coasters under 80' actually would not change my top 5. Can't wait to ride Phoenix! By the way, honorable mentions under 75' for me would include Outlaw and maybe even Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain...that one has some fun drops.
  22. GUYS! You know I'm talking about wooden roller coasters! Hahahaha.
  23. A while back, I won a Big Mike contest! (See pages 531-533!) Guess what I received earlier this month?! My prizes! THANK YOU BIG MIKE!!! Did I receive what was promised?! Let's see! Big Mike's package! Hmm, it says "medium"...pshh...modesty! Big Mike Valuable Reader Pin and Mikestery Card: Check! Big Mike Holiday Card and FIRST EVER Big Mike Business card: Check! P.S. Can you FIND THE DUCKY in this photo?! (Hint: Ducky is wearing a Christmas outfit!) SURPRISE! A GENUINE Big Mike Road Show shirt! (Note authentic check marks!) Proof! Thanks again Big Mike!
  24. I've never been on a thrilling woodie quite so short, but I've realized there's potential for a wide range of experiences when working with a shorter height. In the under-60' category, Pegasus is very tame, whereas Cornball Express and Coaster Thrill Ride are just as intense as any other woodie.
  25. Silverwood bought a Frog Hopper and a Butterflyer (mini-S&S swing)! (Facebook post)
