  1. I'm always glad to hear a good review of Cedar Point! That bodes well for my visit. Sounds like one can have fun even on the crowded days, especially with a bit of planning.
  2. While I have nothing against waffle cones, I quite like the idea of pretzel cones. WANT.
  3. I hope they come up with a good alternative name for Evel Knievel. That name just seemed right for the coaster, even if it was arguably an odd choice.
  4. That looks delightfully tacky and creepy. I'd definitely go if I had the chance. I like the look of the ride collection. Magnum is my favorite flat ride, and the Windstorm is one of my favorite portable coaster models. Plus there are some fun staples like the Starship, swinging pendulum, and drop tower. Thanks for sharing!
  5. Exciting news! This really highlights the potential for innovation in virtual queuing systems.
  6. Park-related --Research, discuss, and daydream about coasters and parks --Consider potential off-season trips (not likely this off-season) --Consider and plan next year's trips Other --I don't have any particular hobbies I take up in the off-season. Since I don't spend all of my park season at parks, my life is largely the same year-round with a few additions and subtractions at various times.
  7. ^I feel the exact same way.
  8. I'm not sure why, but I felt the same way. I had no idea I wasn't alone, since the park is so highly praised! I did like the landscaping, and I thought the ride collection was pretty solid though not amazing. I think perhaps I was a bit put-off by the "commercial" atmosphere (although I understand that it helps the park). I enjoyed your TR! It's a great reminder of the trip.
  9. Well this is good news! GIBs are one of my favorite shuttle coaster varieties. It's too bad they're so finicky, but at least there seems to be potential for some improvement. Thankfully every time I've visited a park that has one, I've been able to ride it at least once.
  10. I enjoyed Timber Wolf for its layout and airtime, but I did find it ridiculously rough, especially on the first drop. It's too bad it went from being very highly rated to very poorly rated, but thankfully I got a taste of why people once loved it.
  11. That ride looks INTENSE! At first glance it reminds me of an Evolution (scariest flat I've ridden) and a Spin Out.
  12. First of all, will it replace Maelstrom by any chance? (I think I'm the only person who doesn't hate Spin-Outs.) Second, I can't wait to try out a lap-bar-only Fireball! I already love well-run rides of this type, but this rendition might be almost too much for me!
  13. Ghosts of the Midway - Nox Arcana
  14. 1. Aftershock 2. Deja Vu (SFMM) 3. Invertigo (CGA) I don't particularly care for standard Boomerangs, but my favorites are the ones at KBF and WOF. Outside of my top 3 list, I don't rate any Vekomas I've ridden higher than 5/10.
  15. Same! As an extra little bonus, it was fun to try out Ravage although I personally never really picked up on the differences in ride experience between the two trains.
  16. I'm glad they've (apparently) chosen to rename "Kid's Coaster" as Little Flash. I like the sound of that.
  17. ^Exactly. Changing the subject to "real" pizza now, I love gooey pizza cheese so much that sometimes I wish they would make pizza-cheese flavored gum. And by the way, I've mentioned this before, but I've also done the mustard thing. I love straight mustard.
  18. I've always been curious about this place. I wouldn't mind visiting if I had the chance. So eerie.
  19. Aww, I had no idea I'd ridden a piece of history! That would the the Paratrooper at Indiana Beach. It's running quite nicely in its new home.
  20. ^I'm not alone! --- You know those circular microwavable pizzas? After cooking, I eat the spilled-over cheese right off the cardboard cooking tray. Then I flip the pizza upside-down onto a plate, eat the bread first, and then eat the cheesy part.
  21. Damnit! I had so been looking forward to playing Shoot the Freak! Or at least, I would have looked forward to it if I had known about it previously.
  22. Flight Deck at CGA is easily the most intense I've ridden. I experience a significant grey-out almost every time I ride it. The most intense single moment I've experienced is Tatsu's pretzel loop. I also enjoy S:UF's pretzel, but I've ridden nothing so far that can match Tatsu. I enjoy all B&M inverts, although I'm not the biggest fan of Batmen. I've had mixed experiences among the three I've ridden, with some laps providing the "signature" Batman intensity with pins and needles, and others not really standing out in any way. My favorite Batman is the original (SFGAm) because of its refreshing setting.
  23. Interesting reviews! I'm really looking forward to Goliath. I must say...some of those rides look...less than attractive. Regardless, I enjoyed your photos!
  24. ^That picture seriously creeps me out. I'd like an explanation just for the sake of my own sanity.
