  1. Is it possible to avoid PayPal fees? I remember avoiding them in the past (at least to my knowledge). Either way is fine; I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
  2. Personally I was very impressed with SFMM's coaster collection. There are smaller parks with superior collections quality-wise, but I can appreciate quantity as well. The shortcomings I noticed were too many somewhat similar rides (i.e. the B&M collection, plus even more inverting coasters on top of that), and the fact that I found most of the good coasters to be "average good", not amazing. These factors certainly didn't directly affect my enjoyment of the park!
  3. Scream! is a solid coaster in my book, with decent forces, although nothing about it really stood out. I didn't find it too rough and I didn't mind the parking lot "theming". I give it a 7/10. I easily prefer Medusa, but I feel I may be biased.
  4. No. I actually own one of the "old" Nalgene bottles, and it's notable in two ways. First of all, it's the kind that'll give you cancer (but will never, ever break). Second, it's so old it has the old boring logo instead of the newer cool-looking logo. Do you own a Nalgene bottle?
  5. Yes, they seem to have better layouts, probably by definition. Overall they provide a superior experience, although there is one shoot-the-chutes that practically scared me to death each time I rode it, making it a winner in my book. Do you always place your phone in a plastic bag before going on a water ride?
  6. I definitely like Roar better than Terminator. Roar has decent, consistent airtime and an exciting first drop. However, it's gotten pretty rough, even painful at times. Terminator is perfectly smooth, and there are at least a couple of decent pops of airtime towards the beginning. It's fun, but it just didn't amaze me. Instead, it seemed very "average". No particular feature stood out as thrilling. I'm really not sure what I missed, and I'd like to ride it again to find out and possibly change my opinion.
  7. Yes! Denny's is the best! Isn't it time for a serious breakfast?
  8. ^I've heard absolutely frightening reports on how painful Spin-Outs are, but I enjoyed the one I rode. I found it very intense, but not quite enough to qualify as a top favorite. I actually prefer well-run Afterburners, even though they don't invert.
  9. Technically, yes! For practicality purposes, no. (It's well over a mile away.) Have you ever eaten at a "fancy" McDonald's? (Example)
  10. ^Green Lantern sounds like a great theme for a coaster, but it would totally rub me the wrong way if they did that to Riddler's Revenge. I hope they either apply the theme to a brand new coaster in the chain, or one with a less iconic name. (Chang?)
  11. Yes, I would say so. After riding Timber Terror for the 5th time in my life (first time in the front seat), I said "That.........." and simply could say no more. I'm sure there are some non-theme park instances that could also qualify. Have you ever made a pilgrimage to a park because it was reportedly going out of business?
  12. ^That sounds fascinating! I think I'd consider taking that if I ever got the chance.
  13. I'm not very interested in water parks, but I absolutely love the look of this! If I came across one, I'd definitely ride it.
  14. ^^I have been known to do that, but I agree that it can look a bit tacky and/or clunky. I would recommend at least wearing something slightly streamlined, like Converse. Also, sometimes I've done that because the sneakers coordinated much better with my outfit than any of my more skirt-appropriate shoes did.
  15. Apparently the ones with cages only have lap bars. That must be why they have cages! I'd never really thought about it before, as I've only ridden the ones with OTSRs.
  16. As long as they improve the thrill factor (and/or incorporate a brand new ride), I'll be fine. Of course the consensus seems to be that they definitely will, especially since it's for the 50th. I'd hate to see them just retheme it and nothing else, but I'm sure that's not the case. I'm excited!
  17. I think it would be a neat idea to use the design, even with the knowledge that it wouldn't turn out the way it looks on paper. It sounds like there would still be changing forces, but the loop would be smoother than what we are used to. Maybe?
  18. Okay, time for a re-do to celebrate a certain milestone. 500th post! (I had posted something else, but it wasn't celebration-worthy. So when I noticed it was my 500th post...I decided to change it. And yes, I had no idea it would be this exciting for me!)
  19. This made my day!!! PM coming soon--I'm dreadfully busy at the moment. Have fun, Big Mike!
  20. I think you are at Amusement Park Drive In. That's my final answer, since I really can't think of anything better, and don't want to hurt my brain trying. Can't wait to find out!
  21. No, but I have been in a swimsuit. Ponder that. Or don't. Do you know how magnets work? (Please don't answer if you are a scientist.)
  22. New goal in life: eat a formal breakfast on a Ferris wheel. Seriously, I must do this.
  23. ^As far as I know, deathrock is a separate genre. Isn't the term officially for a variant of punk rock? (Apparently, yes.) I'm more into death rap (usually called horrorcore), myself. But I like TSOL. Back to sexual orientation?
  24. Helllllllllll no! The worst I ever feel is from the Gravitron, and that's my favorite flat so it obviously doesn't bother me! I've never felt more than dizzy or slightly nauseous. Do you choose a particular animal when you ride a merry-go-round?
  25. ^I waited for about two hours, and was there for exactly an hour after the official closing time.
