The Best Woodie under 75 feet Tall
X2coasterfreak replied to MagnumForce's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not only the best woodie under 75ft, but one of the best woodies around! That was definitely one of the greatest coaster riding nights ever! -
^Do you enjoy being bored senseless? I love both Tatsu and Manta, but if I had to pick one I would have to say Manta. I love the low to the ground flying maneuvers and the multiple near misses along the ride. The setting for Manta is gorgeous too, although Tatsu being built on top of a mountain is definitely unique.

Favorite Inversion
X2coasterfreak replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorite inversion on any coaster has to be the second immelmann on Dragon Challenge's Chinese Fireball side. It is so fast and snappy, not to mention pretty forceful, I absolutely love it! -
It has been a few days now with my new iPhone 6 Plus and I absolutely love it. Getting used to the larger screen (coming from an iPhone 5) was a bit of an adjustment, but now there is no way I can go back to something smaller. The screen quality is gorgeous too, 5.5 inches in (finally) a 1080p resolution is a real treat on the eyes. The camera is brilliant too, pictures turn out looking quite impressive, and Optical Image Stabilization is a neat feature on the Plus. Battery life is another big one too, the usage on my phone can be pretty hefty, I don't think I have seen the percentage drop below 65% yet. The phone is lightning fast too, the A8 chip (although only being a dualcore processor) has some serious power, and cellular speeds are ridiculous with Verizon's XLTE. Overall I am very happy with this upgrade, I would definitely agree that this is the best iPhone yet!

One of my best memories on any coaster came from riding Chinese Fireball in the pouring rain. We were on the last train to dispatch before they shut the ride down, and it was pretty intense. Definitely made me fall in love with that ride even more. I believe Universal shuts the outdoor rides down with lighting seven miles outside the park, and like others have said they are definitely on top of it with their weather policies.

What was your first Intamin Coaster

I just don't think they care. I mean, come on. If Six Flags really cared about classic and iconic coasters like Colossus, then they would have invested the money into repairing the ride instead of replacing it entirely. I honestly believe that Six Flags as a chain is showing that they care about these classic wooden coasters by giving them the RMC treatment. It isn't at all like these iconic coasters are being demolished and replaced. If anything Six Flags is giving these rides a new shade of glory. If they invested in repairing these woodies they would still just be the mediocre coasters they are, rather than turning them into the best coasters in the world. They are reinstating them among the top like they used to be decades before.

What's Your Coaster Crush?
X2coasterfreak replied to gerstlaueringvar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Shambhala or Maverick. Shambhala looks just massive and that color scheme is gorgeous. Maverick has those twisty bits that it takes so fast it makes me fanboy. Not to mention it has such a picturesque setting. Runner ups: Helix and Iron Ratter. -
SFMM is renowned for it's poor operations that can be quite frustrating at times, but how is it possible to be more interested in the crappy B&M floorless that is Scream than an incredible new hybrid coaster? Even is Scream is revamped in some way I don't think I will ever have the need to ride it again with an RMC masterpiece just a few steps away.

I honestly believe the only problem Knott's would face with building a giga would be the complaints from the surrounding residential area. That was one of the main problems the park had when they added Windseeker, and one of the reasons that ride ended up being placed in Fiesta Village. Space wise, if the park wants to build it, they will build it. Just look at Gröna Lund and how that park has incorporated all of its rides, anything is possible.

Is it just me or does it seem like there could only be little, if any at all, airtime over the top hat? I'm just going to hope that this is just a slower testing speed, which it most likely is. I just hope in time it does speed up and SFMM doesn't pull an SFMM and take away potential with a ride that could possibly deliver.
