  1. Bill, you should come and stock up with mugs from Alton Towers. They seem to like their mugs:- They have them for other rides too. I think the Rita one was the worst seller as on the last day of the season, the main shop seemed to sell nothing else apart from Rita mugs. There were hundreds of them!
  2. My first coaster I think was one of the ones at Camelot and my first coaster with an inversion was the Corkscrew at Sea World Australia.
  3. The op on the Tagada at Floraland was funny: https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10151190282908566
  4. That's a surprise to me to hear it might be removed. From pictures it looks very impressive and will leave a major attraction whole in the park. But I guess Universal have ideas up their sleeves on what to do with it and what to replace it with.
  5. Seeing that picture makes me realise how big a drop oblivion really has. I mean, seeing the small bit of Oblivion sticking out of the ground makes it hard to believe the drop is almost as tall as Sheikra. From the photo it looks a magnitude bigger than Oblivion. It just shows how big Oblivion actually is. I love how high over the park you are on the overbank after the drop on G5 though, nicer then being in a concrete tunnel.
  6. The theming at this park looks incredible. I love the shark rising up from one of the buildings. I'm just wondering what the close up quality of it is like as from a distance it looks great and from close up they can look very poor. I love the green of the Wing Coaster and the Mack track around those rocks is interesting too.
  7. I don't think I would go for a lifetime pass either. As others have stated, too many what if's on both mine and the park/companies parts. Getting them yearly allows you to always look for best deals and maybe switch the annual passes around every year or so to keep the variety different.
  8. Liking all these shirts. The Virtually Queued one and Boulderdash are my favourites so far.
  9. That slide looks amazing. Must be rather terrifying as you're flying down only to leave the slide that much! I'm not a waterpark person really but i'd have to give that a go!
  10. Not checked in here for a whole and Banshee is looking incredible. Wish I could get over there and ride it next year but it's not looking likely unfortunately.
  11. I wonder if there is a way to redirect links in email reply notifications to open the tapatalk app rather than the forum in a mobile browser. I'll have a scout around and see what I can find as that could be very very useful. There could be a form of a URL protocol scheme for it like tapatalk://
  12. Looks very much like Amazing World and it's nowhere near as big as other indoor coasters. Maybe in that part of the country but not the world. Other out of the way coasters are: Blizzard at Shan GriLa Paradise and Dragon Coaster at Atayal Resort. Blizzard is right at the far side of the park at the bottom of the hill. You walk through several covered areas, through some narrow paths under the trees, down a ton of steps, by a huge garden, around an arena, and down a long gentle slope until you reach it! Nowhere near worth it! Dragon Coaster it's more the location of the park that is odd. A lot of windy mountain driving to find this very small out of the way park that contains this ride.
  13. Should be interesting. I could start a similar topic for keychains! I'll spare you guys that though.
  14. Ah I see where it is now. Thanks Elissa.
  15. I saw this around halloween and looks superb for the budget and space available. Who knew you could create a fully functional ride in a 2 car garage! Maybe they will find a bigger location and expand for next year?
  16. Where, in relation to Ikspiari was the Cirque du Soleil arena?
  17. Been playing Sonic 2 again recently on the revamped iOS version. Metropolis Zone is still the most annoying level ever created.
  18. Nemesis - Alton Towers!
  19. Projectile
  20. Airtime. Marmite or Vegemite?
  21. I think an Air Race would fit in nicely at the Adventuredome. I wouldn't like for them to remove Chaos as that was the best Chaos I have ridden. I hope it still rides as well nowadays. I also think Flamingoland should get an Air Race as they already have the majority of Zamperla's ride catalogue.
  22. Those two coasters look really nice. A return trip to China might just be in the works!
  23. Great overview of all the places you visited and it was a pleasure to hang around with you both at DisneySea and some of the other parks on that trip. I'll see you again in Scandi I guess! (BTW - Get back to Taiwan ASAP, Gravity Max is awesome. I can't believe you annoyed you must have been when you heard it was down for maintenance.)
  24. Yes, Mumbo Jumbo and Steel Hawg. Do you like Marmite?
  25. A few theme park weather days I can remember: Six Flags Great America on the 2010 Middle America tour. - We were about to start ERT on Little Dipper and the heavens opened. A massive thunderstorm set off so we all just stood undercover for a while. Little Dipper ERT was cancelled but thankfully ERT on Viper and Raging Bull did go ahead once the weather passed over a short while later. Six Flags St Louis on the 2010 Middle America tour. - Just a scorching hot day. Riding all the coasters was hard work. Janfusun Fancyworld on the 2013 Taiwan trip. - Mega hot and 100% humidity pretty much killed me. I was exhausted by the end of the day. It didn't help that at late morning I rushed towards the giant indoor kiddie area to escape the heat and found it hot and stuffy which was very disheartening. Nowhere the escape it from and recover for ten minutes. On the way out of the park I did find the Coffee museum which did have the most amazing AC but we had to leave so could only soka it up for 5 minutes at the most. Universal Studios Japan on the 2013 Japan trip. - Just rained all day. Amazing park but would love to go back to experience a dry day there. It has to rain sometimes I guess. Raining at USJ is the best place it could possibly rain as that park has a ton of indoor attractions compared to Fuji Q where if it had rained there, no one would ahve ridden a thing! Frightwater Valley October 2013 - Started off a nice day but mid afternoon the rain started and didn't stop. It got dark very quickly too and we were over by the Ultimate at the lowest part of the park and had to get back to the entrance go against the flow of the water running down all the pathways towards us in on badly lit paths. Lightwater must have dreadful drainage as the water used the paths to drain down the where the Ultimate sits. Those are just a few days of weather at parks I can recall.
