  1. The Big One is absolute hell if you ride in the rain. The drops feel like bullets as you fly along. It's also a pretty rough ride. But definitely a classic, if a bit painful
  2. I did AFF Level 1 two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was extremely nervous but it was fantastic. I hope to get to do AFF Level 2 eventually.
  3. Wasn't super bothered about Dragon Flyer as I got the credit when I was younger anyway. It's a pretty speedy ride tbh. Quite fun Thanks for replying anyway
  4. Hey, I visited Camelot Theme Park in Chorley, Lancashire today. Main reason being that I had three credits to catch up on therefore my mum and I headed along for a short time so see what it was like since I had not visited since being a kiddie! - Feel free to use any of the ride pics on the Park Index here on TPR. - I do ahve some other pics not in this report so just send me a PM if you want others. Getting near! - Hooray for Camelot! Mini Golf been added since my last visit ..and Ducks! The Castle! - Is it bigger than Disneyland Castle or not? I guess mother can't stay in the stocks forever, I could do with a lift home! A real live Dragon! - WOW - Maybe this park would get some more exposure if it gave Dragon Rides! First ride of the day, the Log Flume - Not a bad little ride, bit bumpy but a decent amount of "wetness" New Credit no. 1 - Caterpillar Capers! I see you Mr Caterpillar Jees, How long is the queue! And a bonus item! - A Caterpillar Capers POV! - (Taken with permission from operator): Next up to ride is the Dragon Fliyer - One of the only Diesel powered coasters worldwide... ... But it was closed for an unknown reason Pendragons Plunge was only running one tube and the queue was horrendous so we didn't bother The Ferris Wheel - (I didn't catch the names of all the smaller rides, Sorry) The Jousting Arena seemed very quiet today too. I remember watching a jousting show here when I was much younger Up the walkway and we find the Flying School - My excuse for not riding was that I rode the one at Gilroy Gardens last year! They seem to allow All Sorts of people to go on this. New Credit no.2 Whirlwind Excaliber 2 was ok, I have ridden it many years ago and it seemed exactly the same as it was last time! - Operator was funny though New Credit no.3 Knightmare - Really enjoyed this, was suprisingly good after the awful hours queue. The two ops ran it at an awfully slow pace The platform and the slow ops KNIGHTMARE!!!!!! More Knightmare Generic Area Pic Me after just getting my 150th credit! - YAY EXTERMINATE for all you Doctor Who fans Small rides 1 Small Rides 2 Small Rides 3 - I really wanted to go on this but mother wouldn't allow me to embarrass her by going on it! For all you Spongbob fans! More castle - In actual fact, it does look bigger than Disneyland castle! A round of Go Karting which was excellent fun once the little kid in the car infront got outta the way so I could go at full speed and not have the break. Home Time, Thanks Camelot - oh and Club TPR for the discounted entry, The sales rep had to go and check with managers as he was like "Whats this card?" He didn't believe it when I said it got discounted entry, but it worked when he was told! Thanks Regards, Neil
  5. Thanks for the awesome report Robb, It was a fantastic day and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to go back someday. ERT was great, especially the extra evening and surprise ERT the evening before. The atmosphere in the queue and station whilst waiting for X2 on that extra evening was electric as it seemed like a ton of us from the group had rushed directly to ride X2 and only about 2 people in the line from our group had ridden it before so a load of us had never experienced a coaster like it and it was insane! Food was great that day and the flash passes helped immensely. Thanks so much to everyone involved who helped make it such a great day! - Was just annoying how we had to be up extremely early the following morning for behind the scenes at Universal Studios!
  6. Hey all, I'm planning on heading over to Camelot this Friday and no one seems either want to go (as in, doesn't like coasters) or cannot go (as in are working). So I thought i'd post on here to see if anyone around the area may want to meet up at Camelot this Friday. Just post back here if anyone is interested. Regards, Neil
  7. I popped down for the opening today and arrived about 7:50. We walked from the hotels to the main entrance plaza where we first saw the Corkscrews now they ahve been fully erected there. They look brilliant, great place to put them and they look stunning in bright purple. We queued at the turnstiles and at 9.00 they let us through and everyone ran quickly in 3 different directions over to the Dark Forest where staff members said that we all had to wait at the entrance to the Dark Forest until 10.00 It was absolute mayhem and the group of people waiting was about 25 people wide and seemed like many hundreds standing (pushing) behind us. The staff members trying to hold everyone back kept moving forward so people pushing from behind made us end up standing quite a way into the Dark Forest. At around 9.15, Johnathon Ross sort of made his way through the crowd to the front and over to Th13teen and as we walked down everyone starting booing at him, was pretty funny to be honest. A few games of mexican waves later at around 9:55 the staff pretty much gave in trying to deter everyone for any longer and quickly moved out of the way and the mad dash towards the queueline entrance started. Most people ended up loosing their groups and just went full pelt at the entrance until they were safely inside the queueline fences. After what seemed like countless switchback fences and narrow paths we ended up waiting for Johnathon to finish his several ride and they let us move forward into the staion queueline where you hand in your baggage in receipt for a wristband and climb the stairs (under the unlucky ladder carefully positioned above the main queueline segments) just at the top of the stairs the main queues goes around the left and the fastrack and single rider lines go towards the right. In the centre is a large metal cage will a Tesla Coil in (wasn't operational today but should be pretty spectacular when it is!) The line is well themed and has a persons scrawl on the walls in very crooked writing stating "If you go down to the woods today, you better not go alone!". Along with this was a woman's creepy voice slowly saying the numbers from 1 through to 13 (I guess this is when the tesla coil will activate. You then move down some steps into the main station which is heavily themed and has statues of large wraiths on the walls and many tree vines and branches covering everything. The loading is quick and well done. I'll stop here and won't explain the ride as i'm sure you all know what it's like by now. I thought it was a great ride overall. If you expect it to be a Nemesis or Oblivion then you will be highly disapointed but if you look at it as a good, solid family ride with a spookier atmosphere then you'll have a whale of a time! Thanks Neil
  8. A miserable 9/20 for me! At least I got the Gullivers Kingdom question right as that is about 20 minutes away from me!
  9. Fantastic report Natalie. Legoland was awesome! Not been to Legoland Windsor in years but reading this report has made me want to visit it again. Yes, the Dragon Challenge ride thingymajig was 100 times better to watch than ride! PS: Your captions are hilarious! Thanks Regards, Neil
  10. I was just thinking it could be the valley at the back of Alton. But I really cannot see them investing in something like this (however great it may seem) now that they ahve just built Thirteen at one end of the valley and have Air at the other end. Wouldn't the Dark Forest seem a bit crowded?
  11. Wow, Thanks Robb, should be excellent to watch! Can't wait! Will the link be put up at approx 8pm GMT for us brits?
  12. Great report. Sorry for the bad week, as everyone else has already said, it will improves. Things always seem to get worse before they get better.
  13. Hey all, Does anyone have a photo of the Venom from Camelot when it was housed in it's mountain facade?
  14. Great report and video Matt. Really enjoyed them and had a great time that day! Tony Hawks Water Challenge was soo awesome! Regards, Neil
  15. If anyone is having trouble with watching the Tatsu video on MegaVideo then I am currently extracting it and will upload both parts in a single zip file when I have it completed.
  16. I'm really desperate for this park now! Looks soo great!
  17. I would say leave it to you to decide how to provide us with the park. Peeps would be good and keep the year as it shows how much effort was put in. Most people have a speedy network connection so file size won;t be a massive issue. Great work so far and looking forward to seeing it in person Regards, Neil
  18. When will this park be released for download so we can all enjoy playing through this park and seeing it real for ourselves?
