  1. It's been great to view a variety of your favourite photos over the past year! Keep it going strong in 2013!
  2. My main missed coaster was is the SkyLoop at World Joyland. Apparently it only opened for an insanely short time and jsut so happened to miss it. Agh well. Not too worry. I also missed Rattlesnake and Runaway Train at Chessington the first time I was there as the park was extremely busy but finally gained those when I visited on the last day of their season a month for so ago. Super quiet day too which was great. Got a ton of rides in on Dragons' Fury and Vampire.
  3. Xiaofantain was a very strange place. The dark walkthrough was extremely creepy, had all sorts of weird effects in.

  5. Just performing the in app update after updating to the Christmas edition. Going to take a while as my current connection speed is appallingly slow.
  6. I'm rctneil on it. Going to start playing it again. All can add me. Feel free
  7. I would like to put a vote in for the River Caves at Blackpool. Such a unique blackpool'esque classic attraction. Very cheesy but is a much longer than expected ride with a decent amount of scenes.
  8. It's a shame it'll be closed as I really like the Space Mountain rides but if we can all cope with walking past two closed large S&S launch coasters on the China trips then i'm sure we can all cope with this one. As I aways say each time a situation like this occurs, It at least gives me a reason to go back!
  9. Can you guys remember this from the evening meal after Happy Vally Wuhan? I have no idea what it was! I think most of us tried at least a tiny bit but no more.
  10. I'm betting I'm going to get stuck in one of these or a slide: Might need to get a torch out to get me out of one! Those mesh tunnels were pretty awkward to crawl through but that place has to be one of the most amazing and fun places ever!
  11. Here is a photo of the restraints on the new GIB at Jin Jiang Park just outside Shanghai. http://flic.kr/p/doxqA4 A restraint I remember rather well, not really because it was complicated but more the fact that it scared the **** out of me! It was an knock-off Arrow Loopscrew at some little park in China (can't remember it's name) and I pulled down the OTSR and it didn't click to lock, so i tried it again and nope. The ride op then came along and attempted to explain that it was broken so I started to get out to move seats and he ushered me back in and told me to post the seatbelt through the restraint and lock it in. I was pretty scared throughout that ride.
  12. Wasn't it this Pizza Hut that had Jack Johnson's Better Together track on repeat constantly? It completely drove me nuts! Other guests/staff in there really didn't seem to notice or it didn't drive them mad.
  13. The not letter riders into the air gate area thing I have seen occur at quite a few places. It bugged me when I was queueing for Perilous Plunge at KBF and we were told it was the procedure there and they were not quite sure why but they had to stick to it. That was a short queue that took the best part of an hour too! Mount olympus is pretty much the only park I would say I have experience bad operations at, oh and on a couple of rides at Indiana Beach. There was one guy that was working his **** off to be super nice and get people on efficiently but he was the exception. The best operations I have seen have to be at Disneyland. Load and unloading guests from Space Mountain at a most perfect rate and in pretty much perfect sync that it just worked! Also, at Happy Valley Chengdu, I wouldn't say it was bad operations at all but more like they were doing as they were told by not dispatching trains until EVERY seat was filled. The queue for it (Mega Lite) was very short but due to the fact that people wouldn't be split up to get the ride going meant that the train would sit in the station for ages waiting for single riders to appear. But they did entertain you by making you do your exercises first!
  14. ^ I loved that place. Had a blast! Just entirely random but the most amazing fun ever!
  15. I too hope it's not the Grand Prix. That car ride is excellent, very unique how it travels a surprisingly long way. It's exactly like much will fit in it's location but saying that, the monorail runs paralllel to a segment of it so if they remove that and the ride at the same time it would make sense. The station end, it that was removed along with the helixes would give a nice large area to play with. It would be a shame to see it go though and if it does, I hope they don't replace it with a fountain!
  16. Nice little ride that one. Was a scorchingly hot day though. Love Mike Austins facial expression there, haha
  17. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are: Alton Towers, - Monorail from CarPark/Resort Hotels => Theme Park Ocean Park - It's not quite from car park to theme park but from lower area to upper themepark and there are two routes, the cable cars (as Wes shows above) and the Funicular which is really cool (literally, air conditioned and have snazzy over the head displays to keep people entertained during the journey)
  18. Wow, Sounds really nice. Would love to visit this place if I get the chance to be nearby in the future. Thanks for keeping us all updated with its progress, Larry!
  19. My last coaster of this season turned out to be Python at Gullivers Land in Milton Keynes! A much smoother ride than I expected but took what seemed like not much less than half an hour for the train to finally roll back into the station from the brake run!
  20. It's a real shame that Camelot is closing. Knightmare is a fantastic ride. Not keen on the colourscheme but there we go. It picks up a suprising amount of speed towards the end and twists a lot. This park is pretty much my closest park to me and I have fond memories of visiting it over the years.
  21. Haha, What a cool video. I remember everyone thinking, oh here we go again, yet another knock off coaster so when we got on and started up the lift hill we were all pretty amazed that it actually had theming and it actually wasn't that bad for this type of coaster. That building was pretty big as well. It was quite a shock. The ride gets off to a nice bit of speed and then suddenly it all disappears and comes to that halt. Was really funny.
  22. What a great ride. Super long and actually has some really awesome airtime. Shame the rest of Knight Valley wasn't up to the same standard, the trip to the top was awesome though, oh and the bob karts!
  23. Nemesis at Alton Towers. It was a very busy day and we visited with friends and they pestered and pestered me to ride it, me refusing all day and eventually I gave in and not looked back since.
  24. BGMRMC was an amazing ride. Not super fast, not super tall, no inversions but it doesn't need those things maxed out. It's a great combination of elements put together along with a great theme and excellent use of landscaping and everything together creates this example of a world class ride! Would love to go back to ride again (not that I didn't get a ton of rides in whilst we were there!)
