  1. Wow, That looks really nice. Really hope I can get to go back to Hong Kong sometime. Really loved the country and Hong Kong Disney was small but what rides/attractions they had were perfectly done. Nice to see the trackless ride style moving out and about across the world too!
  2. Blimey, That lift hill track went up quick. Looking really nice. I sooo hope it rides well as I rode Saw yesterday and it was anything but pleasant.
  3. I pledged to this last night too. Even though I would prefer a Mac version, I pledged to support them as it looks excellent and I hope a Mac version will get there eventually. I can easily try it out on my Windows 7 Virtual system for the time being. I love the idea that users can create track and flat rides themselves in the game. It's this one fundamental part that seems like it will allow this game to live on much longer than other games and give it pretty much unlimited flexibility. Great work so far Pantera!
  4. ^ That doesn't look like a PR stunt along the lines of the Swarm ones to me. Just a small mishap during construction. Easily solved I guess.
  5. I really didn't notice a difference between the 4 in a row and the staggered formations. I would say that accessing each seat on the staggered versions is easier but at the cost of the people in the two outside seats do feel slightly "alone". Also regarding complications at the air gates, if the park though long and hard enough about this then guests shouldn't have any issues at all. Oh and the fact that a glance a the train for most people should give a clue as to how people should line up to prepare to ride. Looking forward to trying out the 2 per row variations as then i'll have ridden in all three styles.
  6. Couldn't argue at all with you Bill about the humidity at Ocean Park. It was stifling that day!
  7. If it does spray you with water, the jets better not be like the ones on the 4D cinema at HV Wuhan because we all got drenched! That thing needed calibrating or something! I have to agree and say Oblivion is not right without it's mist but that is an entirely different sensation to other rides actually spraying you with water which is a bit more unnecessary.
  8. It does sem a very odd and strange concept/idea for a ride. Not totally keen on the story or the marmaliser spider thing if that is what it is for but after having experienced the Sanctuary. That fits together nicely. Doctor Kelman gives a nice creepy intro to the whole thing and the marmalising section within the Sanctuary is very well done too.
  9. A few of the ride mishaps I have encountered. None particularly thrilling but here we are: 1. Mr Freeze - SFStL - Ride stopped on launch track on return run and took several minutes to return to the ride station. 2. Space Mountain - Disneyland - Our ride train was weighed and found to be overweight so the switch track took us into the maintenance bay so we could split into 2 trains. 3. Nemesis: Sub Terra - Alton Towers - The ride was doing it's normal cycle and we were on the lift back up to the top and each side stopped between two floors for about 15 to 20 minutes. The show sequence ended and interior lights came on. Gave a nice little chance to have a look around and see how things worked and there is a lot more theming in there than you expect or know about as it's so dark normally. 4. Jurassic Coaster - Shijingshan Amusement Park - Not exactly a breakdown but the train slowed to a halt and stopped around 3/4 of the way through. The video is on Youtube somewhere. This one was pretty funny. I think overall I have done quite well with avoiding breakdowns on the rides I have ridden.
  10. Last time I rode Saw I did notice the head banging was ever more prominent than the previous time so I really hope it's reduced for the Smiler in some shape or form. But it does look very impressive in those aerial shots.
  11. This ride is just looking more and more insane each time I see progress on it. Going to look really nice once each part is all linked up (eg the track on top of the toilet building)
  12. Really liking the colour change on Tony Hawks => The Joker. Cannot forget how awesome the TPR water challenge on this ride was!
  13. Bill, The 3 mouse pic was on the mouse (first coaster we all rode) at Chuanlord Manor. We entered the park and took the path over to the left which was half under construction and the mouse was on the left hand side near the end just before the Ferris Wheel.
  14. The Marmaliser is [pretty big when seeing it person and the whole ride certainly gives a presence on the black hole site not seen for a very long time. The whole ride and site is huge and it's going to look great with the trains flying about on it. Yesterday was certainly an interesting experience at the park. More security there than I have ever ever seen on a traveller day in recent years. Police Helicopter flying around and at least 2 3rd party security people monitoring each attraction along with police officers wandering about in each area. It was nice to see the extra security but on previous traveller days I havent felt particularly threatened so I guess it was mostly precautionary but there were a few incidents I saw going on around the park and they looked like they were resolved rather quickly. The queue jumping was ever so present yesterday too. We just let them get on with it and nothing else came of it until it happened a lot in a bigger than normal queue for the skyride and eventually a staff member noticed and sent them all the the back! They seemed to have no idea what they had done. I also rode Nemesis Sub Terra which is massively improved from the first few weeks of operation and I rode with a friend who had never ridden it before and we got stuck on the return so we were stuck between two floors for approximately 15-20 minutes, all the normal lights came on, it was nothing to be worried about but gave a chance to see the inner workings of the ride and there is actually a lot more theming and extra details you normally don't get to appreciate due to the lack of lights so it was nice to be able to see all that extra effort. Nemesis was also running just as well as normal. I just live that final hidden corkscrew. Just a good ride from beginning to end! I normally tend to overlook Rita but we got one ride and I forget how forceful the launch actually is. It is a short ride but it is surprisingly good. The Sanctuary was actually better yesterday than my previous visit. All actors working well and some nice scares throughout. I do like the way they split your group into two in the end cage maze.
  15. I have to say I really like the look of the trains, yes it's shame they don't the iron shark lapbar style but it's really not the end of the world and it won't make much difference that people won't ride it now it has over the shoulder harnesses (oh except my dad, he won't ride rides with OTSR). It will be very interesting to see this 4 row trains flying around.
  16. It's really looking excellent now. Very very excited to ride it. Been following Smiler progress so much more than 13 when it too was at this stage of progression. Love that my home park finally has it's own Dive Loop (my favourite inversion).
  17. I love the layout of Nemesis, especially the placement of the final corkscrew. But that may be a bit bias from me as it's so nearby. Other than that I like the layout of Wood Coaster at Knight Valley. The El Loco's have a pretty odd but cool layout. and Dauling Dragons layout I enjoyed to0, the interactivity between both sides was really nicely done. Half time perfectly inline and then the other half you go separate ways and then join up once more.
  18. I have to say I was very surprised how well Mamba and Wild Thing run and how smooth they are. But that's me used to riding Pepsi Max. I realise it's not a Morgan but it's pretty much the closest thing we have here and well that ride is much much rougher. Could be the weather conditions but not sure. Either way, really looking forward to trying out these new trains!
  19. Saw the Smiler's progress today during my visit. It's huge! Looks like it's gonna be an amazing ride and just cannot ride to ride it! The Sanctuary was also running well today with a few Smiler related changes from when it last ran during 2012's Scarefest. Dr Kelman is awesome though.
  20. It was a shock when the other train sped past. You knew it was coming but the sheer speed it happen really took us all by surprise. Thanks for posting it!
  21. I'm really looking forward to riding this but it's definitely going to give people's stomachs a run for their money! On Colossus, 4 of the inversions are all in a row so you can sort of get used to going through them but here it's one different inversion after another! I hope Alton have their sick bags at the ready!
  22. Really looking forward to this game. Been keeping my eye on it more and more since it was originally announced. Love how much they are doing with input from their potential future customers.
  23. I have to say i'm really looking forward to giving this ride a go. I wasn't keen on the washing machine idea that was going around and I personally hope what ever is still unknown that it is not it. Whatever mystery does actually remain about the Smiler i'll let everyone discuss and i'll just relax and ride it when it's ready! It does look like they are actually going all out on this ride in a big way compared the the PR releases and overhyping of Thirteen.
  24. Not really ridden that many so: 1. Hair Raiser 2. Medusa 3. Scream
  25. Thanks for spending the time putting this report together. Was excellent recalling each day!
