Very HAPPY that GLEE is in my life!
-
I was hoping they'd have some of "exchange certificate" for the DVD since it wasn't coming out till the 29th. Not to be. Ah well. Ordered the GLEE DVD a few minutes ago, from Amazon. And now listening to "And I am Telling You I'm Not Going" sung by Amber Riley / Mercedes. Off the Season One Volume 2 CD. Mmmm. Whatta voice. Whatta lot of voices! Mmmm. Fabulous cast and they deserve every award they can pull in, in the coming year, not to mention the writers, the orchestrators, the producers... GLEE will ROCK in 2010!

Am going to BUMP this up, as the season so dictates..... getting close now. Hmmm. What to "resolve". With this past whupping (sp?) I got medically thru this entire past decade (including now, sprained my foot, go figure!) I am more than happy to kick 2000s's sorry butt out the door, LOL. But, what to Resolve? 3) Try to stop worrying so much - as much as I usually do - about anything and everything that happens around me. I can't take care of it all, so why try and stress out about it, hmm? So, not so much worry worry in 2010. But I still enjoy giving out maps on TPR Tours. It's fun! 2) Have a kick-butt year of touring parks and cultures with not one but two TPR Tours to do, this coming year! Woo hoo! Starting with the UK Tour, then to Italy and up thru Germany and finally to The Netherlands, all in Tour #2. Going to be great, both tours, so I RESOLVE to Enjoy Them Both Thoroughly, LOL! 3) Is kind of an odd one, but one I think needs doing... Our annual fair, the PNE (Pacific Nartional Exhibition) is celebrating it's 100th Birthday next year. I just got my Playland 2010 Season's Pass to start using in April, and the Fair doesn't happen until last two weeks of August. But the RESOLVE is to stop dissing the fair and park so much, as I've been known to do every year . AND to take advantage of some really unique fair-only food items a lot of you already know about, thru your own parks or carnivals or fairs.. Like Deep Fried Mars Bars! - need to try one of those this summer. And other unique and definite PNE eating staples (Elephant Ears! Mini-Donuts!) to easily enjoy devouring thru a day's visit there. Heck, maybe even buy a Rides Pass to ride the extra flats and stuff they bring in espeically for the fair, hmmm? Seasons Pass doesn't cover it, so thats to consider to do for once, as well as eating fair food. Yum! So that's my three for the New year - 3) Stop worrying so much about any and everything. Best as I can do. 2) Enjoy a great 2010's worth of TPR Tours and stuff. And everybody on them, too! Got to enjoy who you tour around with and TPR is great for that. 1) Enjoy what I got (Playland), where it's at (PNE grounds), and take advantage of the FAIR FOOD! Early Happy New Year Everybody! (Edit to ask any of the Mods to alter the subheading of this thread - to '2010' and 'start on page 11'...? Thanks in advance.)

You guys have way too much fun. And I'm green with envy, with a Bit of holly on the side, lol. And so much sexiness with just....... wigs? Must admit the shirts add a 'luxuriousness' to the celebrating, too. Best Wishes for the Season to all of you - and see some of you again next summer! -

Disneyland Paris in the snow Photo TR
Nrthwnd replied to neovortex2k's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Same thing happened here in Vancouver, decades ago. Disney himself apparently came up here to "have a look around" in the start of the 60's to see if another Disney park would work "in another country" (hah). Decided the weather wouldn't work in it's favor. Who knew they'd figure it out and go for it in Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong? Disney Paris with snow looks awesome. Would love to visit, all bundled up for the outdoor attractions (Big Thunder - yes!) and afterwards all those hot drinks and toddies to kill the chill around the fireplace at the Sequoia Inn, lol. -
But - a coaster? There are a lot of flats out there that honestly look like this, only less streamlined and.... flashy. Looks like fun and I would definitely want a ride on it. But - no - not a coaster in my humble opinion. (Chuck, Spin-A-Laya sounds soooooooo nasty cool! That would get 'em lined up, lol.)

A lot of last-minute stuff today - but I was so casual about it, it felt easy and not stressful at - all. - New suitcase for my upcoming TPR Tours next year. $100 (on sale - marked down from -gulp- $225!) - Milk and Dark chocolate-covered ginger. English toffee. Jelly beans (Bellys I believe) . $57 - Action figure for my collection. $10 - New Rainbow Door Wreath for front door and disco/rainbow mini-Glitter Ball for tree. $41 - Padded dark green cold weather Vest w/pockets. $22 Total = $230. Roughly. And well-spent for the season, lol.

Disneyland Paris advice

^ I would love to see photos of Disneyland Paris Resort with snow all over it! Maybe you could do a TR in a new thread for it? -
Lea Michele (Rachel) definitely has "the voice" for such numbers as "Don't Rain..." I've loved hearing her voice ever since I heard her on the "Spring Awakening" Broadway cast CD. Then, we got a bit of how good she really was on that year's TONYS (2007) when they did a medley from the production and she opened it with "Mama Who Bore Me." And the musical won for Best Musical, of course. Beautiful voice. But sometimes, I think I prefer hearing her more, when she's been given softer, more nuanced numbers to perform. She can belt it out, and "Don't Rain..." certainly proved that. But I hope they give her some more "lower volumne" stuff to sing in the upcoming episodes. Man, do we really have to wait till APRIL for "The Road to Regionals"?

Had a good day. Pretty late but that's okay. Not committed to doing much more this week, now that The Day is closer. Everything needed to be done before the 25th seems to have happened w/o too much stress involved. And thats great. For a change with me, lol. I'm actually planning to go downtown on Tuesday "just because" and just stroll thru the indoor malls while everybody goes crazy last-minute shopping. Fun fun fun... Hee hee hee, my kind of a good time, LOL! And if I DO see something (hopefully massively ON SALE, being so close to It) that's worth buying, I'll have my little wallet of cards ready and able, heh heh. Happy Week it feels. Even the weather isn't too crappy for us. Wet but still tolerable temp-wise. Mmmm. Solstice Greetings everybody!

Craig's Video Look Back at 2009

Great vid Craig! Helps me get into my "check list" of what I want to ride again, and what I can pass on, this re-visit next summer with the TPR tour, LOL! But I forgot - is the themed area known as "Canada Creek" still ... there? I know the train in that area was removed for building SAW (I think), and there was a log flume back there too, but I can't remember what else they did to the landscape in that part of Thorpe. Thanks for putting this up, and looking forward to more, woot! woot! -
"There's a Party In my Toilet!"

Um, isn't that what having a nice cocktail and/or drink is all about, when some people come home from a stress-filled day at work, etc.? And there are other activities and ways I agree, that many people do use and take advantage of to help bring their day down to a more calming level. But some people, like myself, don't feel like spending money on a lot of other activities, or leaving the comfort of the home, and having a puff from time to time is nice and easy in it's own way, in my opinion. And I don't really agree with your statement about "making youself stupid" with such stuff. You're entitled to that opinion, but I must say that on the contrary, the mind can get charged up at times too, with such a 'recreational activity.' The imagination can indeed be influenced by a puff or two. With some good music on the sound system, as well. Better than a drunken stupor, speaking of "stupid," heh heh. But as we know, a lot of television and/or movies have a way of highly exaggerating things for the sake of either a Big Laugh ("hah hah look at the stoners"), or shock value, which is usually rarer. It happens, and what can you do, except accept the fact that this is not all true, what is being portrayed about such things. Hemp rocks! I have a couple of t-shirts and carry bags made of it. And this is an easy example of what additional benefits come from the "evil weed" if legalized... Hemp farms! By the way, from what I have read and heard, the hemp used in such things as clothing, shoes and such isn't even the same strains or type of grass that people smoke. Different varieties. Different uses. Different fun!

Of every kind, type, make, portion, and on and on... Some do it/them. And some don't. Some use drugs responsibly (presrciption and non-) while others continue to abuse. Large expensive look-sees/tests/long wordy blah blahs into the use of grass is starting to get tired. In my opinion. Everybody says it's either good or bad. So be it. Use your head. If you don't want to break a law, especially in the USA, don't take the chance. Not worth it for a happy future. Eventually, things will get better (and more civilized about it) and the majority will finally realize that grass is fine and no big deal in the ways of the world... and then legalize it.

It looks fantastic! And definitely PINK! And yummy I betcha, mmmmm. (Maybe I can get you to do a fishing wader for a friend's birthday in the spring, 'cause he loves stream fishing in his spare time.) Heh heh, great going with the entire creation.

Condiments. Fancy mustards, sauces and ketchups. A bit on the fingertip from time to time. Or maybe on a small piece of cheese w/cracker, a la canapes. Mmm, a little condi-bliss.

To the best of my recollection from last year's Mainland Europe tour, no - Euro Mir wasn't free spinning. The cars were 'auto-turned' at two (at least) specific spots on the track, usually the flat track parts and near the top of the mirrored columns. Still an awesome ride, lol. This new coaster sounds pretty neat, too. Definitely worth a re-visit to USJ in the not-too-TPR-Tour-distant future, heh heh.
