Shamed to admit it, but after years of avoiding Starbucks and drinking coffee anywhere but there.... I actually like and buy their instant coffee VIA! Get the 3-pack every week or so and that does me fine, along with my usual day's fillup of tea, heh heh. And omg I am starting to enjoy the dark roast version of VIA, too! I always thought it was fine and easy on my system with the medium roast. Times and tastes change, hmm? Even within yourself, lol.

Have we gone BOOM yet? Too close, too close now...

"Running Up That Hill" Kate Bush (1985!)

Pink rawked the house in a great performance. That was 'it' for me, for the whole show. (EDIT to add, although Elton and Gaga together on pianos was something to see and hear.)

Very funny. And obviously, far too many questions for the final season to ....answer? Or... maybe not. Eh. I don't care. It's FINALLY coming back!

My coaster count good. Am right beside four hundred. I jump and have joy. -
Holy crap! So close now. And wasn't it just several months ago....? Woo hoo!

This year is the 100th Anniversary of Vancouver & British Columbia's annual fair, the Pacific National Exhibition, or easier put, The PNE. I "heard" also, that the fair is planning to add something(s) '"extra" to PLAYLAND for it's season, (starts April 24) along with whatever else it will plan for the fair, itself. We shall see, eventually. In the meantime par - tay! (And I get a neat little avatar to help advertise it all, lol.)

This is one of the things I find very strange with the Golden Globes. They separate the Best Actor and Actress categories into Drama and Comedy/Musical for both movies and for television. But for both Supporting Actor and Actress, they lump together the movie and tv categories, so not only was Lynch competing against supporting actresses in Drama (and that's who won, one of the actresses from the tv series Big Love), but the movies as well. Definitely apples and oranges to be sure, unfairly.

Don't know if today is celebrated in the USA or anywhere else or not, but... Happy National Popcorn Day!
-
Bump for a Woo Hoo!!! GLEE won the Golden Globe (last night) as Best Comedy/Musical TV Series! And I would hazard a guess that it was The First TV Series In A Long, Long Time to actually qualify in both genres, lol! Congrats to the creators, cast....and dance captains, heh heh. Now - on to Regionals in April! Golden Globe Group hug! Waytago guys!

Robb's Fantastic 40th Birthday Cruise!

Mmmmmm.... Shots of many kinds. Dance rape good. Balloon umbrella!!! -
Sorry, but smoking pot is not destructive and 'ugly' whatever that means. In my (again) humble opinion, as a smoker for over 30+ some years. I do not feel either destructed or ugly by smoking it, lol. But still... If you don't like the idea of smoking or drinking, fine. I get it. But this is all about the legalizing of a drug that has caused undue stress and casualties amongst thousands of people (and their families), incarcerated for no more than a joint on them? And sometimes longer time in prison than some murderers have, because the muderers got better lawyers to reduce their sentence. Go figure, huh? And that's what the legalizing pot is mainly about, to me anyway. Keeping the prisons a bit more available for more uh, "serious criminals" than pot smokers? (EDIT to P.S. - And of course, the MASSIVE AMOUNT$ of money the Gov't will get out of doing such a thing. And putting gang-run grow-ops out of business, etc.etc.)

And once again, credit collecting frustration will set in, as Playland (home of the awesomeness that is Coaster) up in Vancouver isn't opening until the following weekend, April 24/10. And only weekends until near the end of June. -
^^ Um, I am not fully sure of what you mean (in full) by your statement there. Are you saying this experience is personal for you, like with yourself or with your own family/close friends or something like that? Are you saying the "severe mental illness" is a result or "after effect" of smoking pot? Sorry, I am just trying to fully understand what you are saying there. Having never ever heard (after 50+ years) of a mental illness being contracted after smoking marijuana...well, I am curious.

Robb's Fantastic 40th Birthday Cruise!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well at least, now I know what you did for your birthday, LOL... Wait. Who's William? Eh. Whatever. Hope the rest of the cruise goes (is going?) well for you, the family and all others present. And a Happy B-Day (Post Operative) to you, Mr. A. -
^ Well, Corey Montieth / Finn is from Victoria, BC so anything's possible for your cousin - nothing ventured..... yes? And best of luck ("Break A Leg!") to your cousin, too,

"It's just - - a little Crush..." Just looove some of these numbers. I think the best part of the 2 cast soundtrack CDs now available, is that with the music/songs taken out of the show's context, it shows how really talented the cast - and the orchestrators and those who pick these numbers - really are.
