I thought the Brian Ryan story line was more harsh than I thought they were going to write it. But hey - he was bitter, angry, revengeful. And then that .... uh.... thing with Sue? I LOL at that. "Upstairs room, just like Letterman." Priceless. "Piano Man" was fun in the bar. "Dream On" was creative, jumping around on what was supposed to be the Les Miz set being built, heh heh. I really enjoyed how they figured out how to get Artie up and out of his chair for "Safety Dance." It was kind of "WTF's going on?" at first... and then I 'got it', all in his head etc. And it was cool. Enjoyed that. That must have been an interesting mass audition for that number, lol. And after re-watching (taped) I did notice some of the regular cast were there in the group-dancing, here and there. Wonder which mall it was done at? The end song was sweet too. Loved how Quinn's hand went to Arie's shoulder when they came dancing by. Very sweet touch. And well, I guess they figured Menzel was too good a singing opportunity to pass up, as Rachel's (mystery) mom, lol. More Drama! More Anguish! More DUETS! And, ready for this GLEE casting suggestion?..... Daughter = Michele Mother = Idina Gran'Mama = Patti !

- Was surprised "The Addams Family" didn't get more noms. - Two plays ("Enron" and "Fences") getting Original Score noms was certainly...different. - Poor "Ragtime." First, Santo Loquasto got his nom dropped for Costume Design/Musical, because "the designs weren't different enough from his designs for the orig.1998 Brdwy production." And then the orchestration nomination was cancelled, too. Same reasoning. That is all.

It's all good Whedon Stuff, lol. I hope this ep of Glee adds another notch to his musical 'belt.' And Neil Patrick Harris too!

Mmmm. Looks so 'wrong.' Must ride it on a future TPR tour, lol. -
But - in the meantime... In between (that) time... Let's have Neil Patrick Harris this Tuesday's ep! Also directed by Joss Whedon, who guided Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!

Girls - Lady Gaga Guys - KISS It's going to be a musical freek show of awesomeness, LOL!

I think leaving Fuji-Q out of any TPR Japan tour would be just scandalous. That said, I am truly TRULY glad I have ONLY the two rodents (Mouse and Flying Hamster coasters) to ride and count. The Haunted Hospital?.... well, we'll see. Maybe. 2011?

My parents were reeeeal original. They reversed my father's two names. Robert William = William Robert Bet that took them for - e - ver, hmmm? -
^ That's true about them auto-tuning her voice. But I still enjoyed it. It was fun for the chessiness that it was, IMhO. Maybe she'll get something "softer" to sing, later on. Shuster said at the beginning, these were all numbers that were lame and didn't improve with age. So the challenge was to make something out of them, however bad they still sounded. Or were written. I think they did okay, under the circumstances of which ones were picked. And the actress playing Brittany can really move! She was totally in it for Ice Ice, and then just as intense for Can'tTouchThis. The episode worked for me, even knowing the numbers weren't going to be ones I wanted to ever hear again, lol.

Looks like you guys had a really great time there. And rides always look so much cooler to me at night with their lights on, lol. And a three-storey dark ride!!! Awesome. Would love to ride that, no matter how tacky and un-scary it is, heh heh. Thanks for sharing everything, including the fair food!

Impressive and spooky, at the same time. Looks and sounds great, from what the vids show. But... Wouldn't want to be there though, if "Mickey" suddenly malfunctioned LOL! Eyelids flipping open and shut at random. Mouth sputtering open and shut with...nothing being said. I'm sure they have backup electronic protocols in place. But still. Hope it's all there ready, just in case...

I waited till I was sure of it, but am now posting that for me, THIS was the episode that made me feel the new season was really off and running, LOL! Apart from the Madonna ep (will we ever stop mentioning Her Name - probably never, LOL), the other two were good, but I wasn't fully happy with them. For one reason or another. This one I loved, from beginning to end. Even as wierd as it got (Can'tTouchThis in the library!), even with Rachel's (nasty) brilliant autour film, care of Artie's A/V department, lol. I think the end-song was fine. It was still about Rachel, but that was okay. It made it's point about playing games with others for your own agenda - and it backfiring big time. IMhO. Good show. Oh, and "Physical" and Olivia and SUE! were great! Now, I'm expecting nothing less from the writers and orchestrator to give Jane Lynch a great number or three, through the rest of this season. I'm hoping...

My my, just when they get a cd out on the Madonna episode.... Being released May 18 thru Amazon.com - your choice of the "Regular" cd (w/14 showstoppers) or the "DELUXE" (w/20!). The show's Madonna episode also got a great review in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly (#1101-May 07) with "future possibilities" of other singers' songbooks being looked at. AND a nice little mention on another page about the actresses playing that dynamic Cheerios duo Brittany & Santana (Heather Morris and Naya Rivera) getting "upgraded to full-fledged series regulars next season"... And I thought they were series "regulars" now. And funny. A lot. And the sold-out live tour starts soon. Busy busy. You can have your GLEE Showstoppers Vol.3 in a 14-pack... Or the (probable) more-wanted 20-song DELUXE cd!

Although I am certain that Jane Lynch will most certainly gain a Supporting EMMY nom this coming fall, I am really REALLY hoping that by some chance they would also give one to Dianna Agron who plays Quinn. What started out as a usual b**ch role has really evolved and become quite an acting turn for Agron. The writers and her have really made the character a wonderful part to watch and enjoy. One can only hope, heh. And I'm still hoping they somehow 'bend rules' and give out an EMMY for Best Ensemble In a Series.

^ On that note, heh heh... Just got the Madonna GLEE cd today - and am just finishing up the first listening... It is soooo satisfying to now listen to these numbers, out of context with the episode and the visual, and really enjoy the full-out orchestrations and harmonizing of this great "Group of Seven" from the cast. Even Voguing Jane Lynch... HAH! But - fave three CD tracks right now... Express Yourself What It Feels Like, For a Girl Four Minutes Yes! I loved the full-out version of Four MinutesI It rawked. I think it's the first time we've got a high school marching band within a pop song, in the house LOL!

Just read in our weekly tv guide for next week, the episode airing that Tuesday (May 4) will be the one Sue gets to "get physical" with... Olivia Newton John! Woo hoo!

My partner David got me a French Press coffee maker last Christmas, which I had already enjoyed and learned to use at my friend's home in Sweden who I visited with, just before the TPR Scandi Tour started up last June. My press takes a coarse grind of coffee beans, and the little thing only makes two med-sized cups of coffee. That's enough for myself, as my partner doesn't drink coffee - at - all, heh heh. But I like it, it makes having a cup of java a bit more interesting... and the used grinds are compostable! (And I still have and enjoy my packets of Starbucks instant VIA, dark roast, lol...)

Considering the vast VAST "world-wide song book" they get to choose from and style songs for the cast, I find it remarkably kool that whatever they end up choosing and using for whichever individual and/or group of the cast to sing... it usually works out well. And sometimes even better than what the original song sounded like. Then, the CD comes out and you get to hear full-out versions of the songs that were only maybe sampled in each episode. I love that about the CDs. That said, I hope they don't start making too many episodes or "every other episode" artist-specific, like Spears or Lady Ga Ga. The Madonna one was great, and it should remain a standout (so far) in their current set of episodes. But I still like it that for the most part, we never really know (unless we look it up ahead of time, etc.) what they're going to be singing/performing... until the episode airs. I like the (sometimes) looseness and variation of how the numbers and sampled numbers are 'fit' into some storylines etc. Artist-specific episodes are fine, if they can pull it off like the did with the Madonna one. But only a few more, please? Ooo! Ooo! How about Prince??? (And - Post # 5555 - woo hoo!)

^ I'm just thrilled I get another chance to see it again so soon, heh heh! And will tape it and replay again and again and again and... until the next DVD of the show comes out, LOL.
-
Yes, we remember them announcing on Idol it would be " probably be a long one," and we then decided to watch GLEE and tape "Lost," not the other way around as originally planned. Fortunately, "Lost" wasn't affected (on ABC) by the off-timing that FOX had going there. Ah well, remember there's (eventually) the DVD which will probably be out by.... summer? (And good to read they're planning to re-broadcast it tomorrow night, nationally. Must check and see if we're going to get it up here. I might tape it, just to enjoy it over and over and over and.... ) Edit: Just checked - on FOX, Friday/23rd - 9 pm ET/PT - WOO HOO! (It replaces "KItchen Nightmares".)

^ I loved that! I wished they'd had more time to show them all, in the hallway there. Was great. And a fun surprise, as part of the episode. The CD's on it's way now. Mmmmmm can't wait.

This is attached to the http://www.Broadway.com site, but it's too good not to share, here at our TPR GLEE Thread, heh heh. And a few of us don't get TV Guide (the U.S.version or otherwise), so that was another reason to share. Are we there yet, in GLEE-Madonna-Land? Pretty spiffy cover. And Jane Lynch looks... well..... omg. A nice look, hmm? More "Vogue"!
