  2. So - much - swag, Bert! Very impressed with everything you bought over there. So - many - fridge magnets! And thank you again for my fridge magnet! And the other great stuff you sent me.
  3. Night shot of lighting (test?) on The Beast's Castle. Thanks to tdrexplorer.com for the photo. And....aren't CRANES Good Luck in Japan? (o; (It's to the left of the castle.)
  4. It's never too late, to enjoy a good breakfast...which I just did!
  5. Playland Opens This Weekend ~ But know before you go... Here's the link to all the info. one needs for going to Playland this month. The park is open only weekends (Fri-Sun) for now, and only this month is listed with the current schedule. https://www.pne.ca/playland2020/ But, most importantly, you MUST BUY TICKETS ONLINE. There are no ticket sales at the booths, at the front gate of the park. And - each day is divided into two four-hour time slots for visiting: 10:30am-2:30pm and 3:30-7:30pm. I also found this rule, which applies to those of you with bags (incl.myself) to carry or wear on your back, etc... The ride selection (12 of them) is mainly for families with small kids, but their two smaller coasters (of the three in Playland) will be open, and those can be ridden by adults/teenagers as well as children. Their current plans are to open with this ride selection at first, and then add more rides (including eventually, I hope, Coaster) in phases, in August. ~~~~~~~~~* Ann those who already have current Season Passes? They are not being honored for the season, but they will be credited towards 2021's Season Passes. And, for the current months it is open, they are offering two free day tickets to the park. That totals nearly $60 for two visits. The free tickets can also be saved for next month and Sept. Which is what I intend to do with mine. Save them until there are more "bigger rides" open, including Coaster. And, if you need to buy an awesome Playland Mask, which Season Passholders do not get with their free tix, they are charging $8 for both sizes - $10 for gp, after the gp receive one free mask with their day ticket. (Emails to current Passholders were already sent out, explaining all of the above, and more.) And BY THE WAY - if anyone out there is planning to go to Playland in the next few weeks, I'd sure like to hear about how your visit went. NOTE: Ticket Booths will NOT be open. Tickets must be bought online. And THIS is what I want to get back to, too! Good old White Spot with awesome burgers, fries & shakes. (o:
  6. You got the PENGUINS!! I love Japanese capsule machine stuff. And that table-ful of your acquired 'stuff' along the way..... awesome, Bert! It looks like a lot of great things, especially those things you intend to actually use in your life, which will of course, constantly remind you of the trip, lol. p.s There was a CAT, possible? That's sooooo Japan.
  7. "Watermelon Sugar" Harry Styles
  8. ^ If the vaccine works, we will still never be back to the way we were, before. IMhO. This is not a quick thing, by any means. I don't expect us to be (mostly) "out of the woods" until...maybe....two years from now? Just saying.
  9. ^ Absolute love it. Fini. Bawk. (Honestly, I skimmed through it. But then, that's what I've usually done with the Hamilton cast CD. So...?)
  10. ^ And as well... Nick Cordero. 41. Broadway actor and husband/father. A casualty of Co-Vid 19. I put it in the Musicals thread, but he deserves to be mentioned here, too. And here's the link to his great performance on the TONYs, when he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor, in the musical production of "Bullets Over Broadway". And he was in the musical "A Bronx Tale" as well.
  11. All things considered, we're doing alright, right now.
  12. ^ That's great! Would be nice if that kind of thing (tax cuts) was applied over at other parks, for admissions and food etc, in other countries.
  13. ^ Bear looks like it's had enough, i.e. tilting. And it's not a bear! It's a red panda! A sad and lonely red panda..... Elissa will love this one!
  14. To some visitors, "it's all over" in their heads, and proceed to act like anything that deters them is a Total Inconvenience. Bummer. I do not miss those people at all, at any park, any time of day.
  15. Nick Cordero. 41. RIP Broadway has been following and supporting his wife, in his struggle with Co-Vid 19. Here's a link to his TONY-nominated performance in the musical treatment of "Bullets Over Broadway."
  16. ^ I think that gets covered in all the theme parks' threads, here. Just saying. But there may an old link-thread to re-connect with. I forget if there is one. And lo & behold... https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=715&hilit=theme+park+food Enjoy.
  17. ^ Lots of people in our area are doing the same thing. Not distancing themself from others, no masks, acting like it's all over and they've nothing to fear. Me and my David are older (67 and 73) so we're constantly freaked out about going out for grocery shopping, etc. together. Taking care we're doing everything right...and then running into, and around, people shopping there who obviously don't give an f about taking precautions. My grrrrrr, too.
  18. And don't forget that Caprese Salad tray, Elissa! (TPR 2008 Tour) Photo taken by Robb(?), Thanks.
  19. ...or, "Riding the bus just got a lot more nauseating" ~ rethinkCanada These final past ads I'm going to post, were actually "ads that moved", and when they were on moving transit... well, it would have been something to see other riders looking up....and then....? Here's the link to the actual videos of them. And from there you can explore other ads Rethink did for Playland, these past 14+ years. https://rethinkcanada.com/work/playland/2017/print-outdoor/playland-transit-ads/ I just posted here a still from one of the 3 videos. So, click and enjoy at your own risk.
  20. "Magic Man" Album length. 5:28 Heart
  21. This just in on the radio news... "A Stalled Semi in Surrey!" Love that alliteration.
  22. ^ NHL = National Hockey League. NBA = National Basketball Assoc. Launch. Take Out or Take Away?
