I'm pretty sure I won't be able to wait much longer. And once Playland(PNE) opens, I will most likely be there, an hour before the park opens. It's nothing like a big chain park opening would be, thankfully, but still. It'll be exciting to see what they've done. And how they're going to handle the crowds situation.

^ It's funny that, by TONY time, I would have several cast cds to listen to, and make a somewhat limited choice, for who I think should win what, etc. But for this season? There are at this time, only three CDs available: (in order of opening) Moulin Rouge: The Musical! David Byrne's AMERICAN UTOPIA On Broadway (special event show) Jagged Little Pill The two musicals, I love for different reasons. But...pick a winner? Tough choice between the two. For design, lighting and sound, I think I would definitely give Moulin Rouge the 4 TONY wins (costumes, too). And give Danny Burstein a TONY, please! Finally! He's earned this one, musically, AND gotten thru an episode of Co-vid19! P.S. Since off-Broadway's "A Strange Loop" just won the Pulitzer Prize for drama (putting it with a few notable musicals, like "How To Succeed..." "A Chorus Line" and of course "Hamilton"), look to it for next season on Broadway (hopefully) and then getting itself a nice little cache of TONYs, too. Danny! Danny! ^^ I wonder who's going to eventually get that dragon statue? Maybe they could auction it off for charity? -
@HKDL_of_Fantasy (thank you!) posted more photos recently, including two showing the new coaster track arriving, for Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs. And an overhead shot of the Arendelle:Land of Frozen construction going on. And HK_Main_Street_Gazette (thank you also!) got this awesome shot of the expanded castle, with Mystic Manor in the distance.

"After Stuffed Animals Ride Coasters...." So lately, several parks started posting videos of stuffed animals on one of their coasters. Walibi Holland did the first one (with teddy bears) I saw. Then, Grona Lund followed (with unicorns). Belmont Park in San Diego, too (variety). But.... what happens after these Arcade Game 'stuffies' get off that coaster? This was one of my favourite Playland ad campaigns. And a lot of other people liked it too. So much so, they made a postcard set of it all! And I happily have a set, bought from the old gift shop Playland used to have. By the way, I do hope they come up with a new Playland Gift Shop, when the "New "Playland" opens in several years from now. Here's the set. They came out in 2013. And also...doesn't that last one look a bit....familiar? B--Arf! Monkey See, Monkey Do....Monkey Regret. This little piggy went a-coastering. Turtle shell-shock. Is... is that you, Grover? -
Openings, Restrictions, Covid-19..... what a combo!

^ We met him, back in 1979, during a New York visit. He was at a table in Greenwich Village, offering info.about "what was happening medically" in the USA. "It" wasn't called AIDS, yet. We also met Cleve Jones (who eventually started the AIDS Quilt and was a good friend of Harvey Milk), during that trip, on the train down to DC, for a massive rally and march in general, for civil rights, etc. Nothing about AIDS, at that time, back then. And the "International" rep was about 30 or so of us, all there.

^ Well, somehow, they're going to have to adjust with the masks. However the park defines it's use. Or for the time being, don't come back to the park at all. Simple. -

Well, it's pretty much an entire month of celebration nowadays, isn't it? But not many parades are going to happen this summer. If any. And a lot of onscreen, virtual, ZOOMing will be happening as the month progresses. Which is great! Sooooo.... Happy Pride Month Everybody!
