Heh, I enjoyed getting "Club 33" discounts with the pass, but yeah, actually getting into the park was a bit time consuming. The camera loves Piers. He's shy! -

Damn, I'm slow. I can sometimes pull off 9 minute miles, but I mainly train for long distance events, so I have to keep a steady pace. I'm looking forward to some fun races coming up this spring. I did a half marathon last weekend, and have a 5k next weekend. My next "big" race is probably the Rock N Roll half marathon in Chicago in August.

Congrats on being accepted into the London marathon! I know how frustrating it can be entering the marathon lotteries. I'll find out if I've been accepted into this year's NYC marathon in a few days, eek! It looks like you've been doing great so far - good luck!!

Congrats! I rode Bizarro twice yesterday, and was impressed that you guys managed to stay on there for 8 hours. My face was frozen after just one ride! -

Eeek, I just registered!! I had so much fun at WCB that I couldn't resist another fun weekend getaway. Party bus!! Now I need to check out flights... -
I can't quite figure out how Cats ran for years and years either. There are a couple of nice songs, but it's a pretty pointless show overall. I saw the new Broadway musical American Idiot this week and loved it! I'm a big Green Day fan to begin with, so seeing their songs incorporated into a musical was just great. There plot isn't anything amazing, but the music and the energy from the cast totally makes up for that. Plus Green Day was in the audience, so that was super cool as well.

Great TR from an absolutely awesome day! TEAM 38!!!! -
That was a great start to the WCB weekend! Too bad my new pass held up the line every time I had to use it. I think I still owe you all several beers...

According to the info posted, it looks like I'm getting upgraded to this pass! Additional info on the website states that "Guests that currently hold any annual pass at both DLR and WDW (excluding Epcot After 4 and the Fl Res Dream Pass) will automatically be upgraded to the Premier Passport at no additional charge. " I currently have non-premium WDW and DLR passes, so I'm actually really happy with this! The WDW water parks, etc. aren't included on my pass and I have some blackout dates and no free parking on my DLR, but with this new one I'll now have those perks. Hooray!

I'm hoping to get tix for one of the RCMH dates through the pre-sale tomorrow!!

I love Mandalay Bay. Definitely the best pool out of the hotels I've been to in Vegas. Some might not like the location, with it being further south on the strip, but you can take the monorail from there to Luxor and Excalibur. Amazing pool at MB, with a beach, wave pool, and lazy river.

It started at 6:30am, and I was scheduled to start at 7:35am but ended up going a little earlier. There were tourists gradually starting to appear when I left. -

^Oh no, I hope you feel better! At least the weather is looking good, even a bit on the cool side, for Sunday. Here are some photos from the event. Thanks again!! Early morning at Rockefeller Center. Ok, yeah. That's a lot of stairs to climb. A big ass Christmas tree can be seen in the spot during the holiday season. The plaza where the Today Show takes place was deserted. No one ice skating here either. It was nice to walk around that area without the crowds. I guess we should go inside and climb some stairs now. We had to wait on a few lines before getting to the stairs. We started out on the lower level. Then we moved upstairs. And then to the third level, where the stairs were waiting just around the corner. More people were waiting on line below us. The stair climb finally began. I expected it to be very crowded in there, but we were let in one at a time, and I saw maybe 10-15 people the entire time. There were signs of encouragement on each flight. 26 flights? That's not so bad! The staircase was fairly wide. So close! The finish line at the top. Hooray, I made it!! The top of the building. A view of the Empire State Building and downtown Manhattan. Looking north you can see Central Park. A closer look at the snow-covered park. The upper east side, with Queens behind it. You can see Times Square down there, and New Jersey off in the distance. Looking downtown on the east side, with the Chrysler Building hiding behind the MetLife Building. The other side of the observation deck was empty. Going down to the elevators and indoor observation area. No one hanging out in here either. Medical assistance was around, just in case. And lots of water. I chose the elevator instead of stairs to get back down. Through the empty concourse to the exit. Any event where eating is encouraged is fine with me. Back outside, I noticed the new window display at the NBC store. Team Coco!! The perfect ending to a race - cupcakes!
