Same. When I first got there, the train that I was originally going to take wasn't making the stop at the station I wanted to go to, and people helped me out with directions. They also helped me drag my suitcase up the stairs. I found the people of Paris friendlier than the CMs at DLP. I definitely want to spend more time there, whenever I'm able to go back again. And I must visit The Louvre!

Definitely. When I was a kid, that's when we would always go since we were still on summer break in the NE, but other schools went back by then.

It does seem like Disneyland is filling up fast this year. I'm gonna sign up for the 5k at some point, too. I ran the Princess half marathon yesterday, and it went pretty well, considering how little I ran since the Goofy Challenge. I wasn't sore at all after. I found that many of the lines for character photos were a lot longer than January, though. That didn't stop me from stopping, LOL. Except for the one with Mickey and Minnie by the castle, which looked to be a 15 minute line.

Ok, those look amazing and you need to save some for me next time.

I did sign up for the Disneyland 1/2 at the expo yesterday, so I'm now officially in! Ran the Royal Family 5k this morning, which was good, but pretty much the same as the 5k in January. It's going to be warm for the Princess 1/2 tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be struggling towards the end, especially with my lack of training.

Same. And I was hoping to get soaked on the rapids at Alabama Adventure, and we all ended up completely dry!

I've seen La Nouba, O, Mystere, Kooza and Wintuk. I really liked them all except for Wintuk, which I thought was terrible, but I think last year was the final season of it. I want to try and see La Nouba again one of these days, since it's been several years since I've seen it.

I still haven't been able to run as much as I'd like to, but I have the WDW Princess 5k and 1/2 marathon coming up next weekend. It should be interesting! I haven't signed up for the Disneyland 1/2 marathon yet but plan on doing so at the Princess expo. If I get back in shape, I'm tempted to sign up for the Danskin triathlon in May at Fort Wilderness...

I also got to run the 5k at Universal yesterday and had a blast! I really hadn't run much at all since the Goofy Challenge, so I just took a nice, easy run through the parks and enjoyed the atmosphere. My next races are the 5k and half marathon for the WDW Princess weekend - hopefully I'll get back into a better running schedule before then. I'll try to do a full TR at some point, but here are just a few photos from yesterday...

I still haven't had a chance to run since the Goofy. I won't know my schedule for the weekend until Friday, but if I'm free on Saturday, I'll do the Universal 5k. Hopefully I can get back into a regular running routine again soon.

Patrick, that is so cool that you got to see the Santa Claw in person! Thanks for posting the photos! I haven't had the time to play lately, and I need my Santa Claw fix again soon!! I think I've played a total of 8 times so far and won only once, on my very first try.

I don't really care much for WDW's Fantasyland, and usually only go to Mickey's Philharmagic when I'm there. I'm excited for these changes, even though the construction walls will be annoying. Too bad they don't serve alcohol. I would have enjoyed having a beer at Gaston's Tavern.

I just saw someone get a gift ball and 2 colored balls, but the gift ball was stuck in the claw! Someone had to reach in and take it. I don't know if this happens a lot. I need to watch the live feed more often! The claw is open, but it won't let go of the ball. The ball being manually removed from the claw.

I saw you had disappeared and figured that's what happened. That sucks! I lost when I played again, got disconnected overnight, and now I'm back in line. 5 hours and 49 minutes!

Thanks! Depending on my schedule, I just might try to do the 5k at Universal at the end of the month. I really like the Rock N Roll series too. I've done the half in Chicago for the past 2 years and absolutely love that course. Not sure if I'll make it back there this year, but I recommend it to anyone who can!

Great photos, Dave - congrats!! I do try to do local races in NY when I can, and I'll actually be living in Orlando for a few months this year, so I'm going to look into other races besides WDW too. I did sign up for the ESPN 5k in March, which I've never done. And I'm tempted to do the Danskin triathlon, if I can train more as a swimmer. I'd also like to do the Expedition Everest Challenge again.

That's great! Hopefully I can train better for the Goofy next time. I still can't resist stopping for the character photo ops along the way - I don't think I'll ever run a PR at Disney! Glad to hear that you enjoyed these races more than the Princess half. I was kind of meh about that one, too. I don't know why they have it so close to the January events. Though that will actually be my next race!
