With the Europe trip and then being sick, I had to take some time off from running, but I'm almost back to normal now. I usually try do 5-7 miles nearly every day, with one longer distance on the weekend. I have a half marathon on Sunday, which I don't fully feel ready for, but I should be able to get through it ok.

I agree with pretty much everything said so far. You have to figure out what works best for you. Almost no soda and lots of water is a big help in keeping weight off for me. I tend to gain weight quickly if I'm not active. I don't like depriving myself of foods that I like, even if they're crappy, so I'll just try to do a little more exercise if I have a pig out day. I do try to choose a healthier option if available, such as whole wheat pasta. As for exercise, I've tried tons of stuff and get bored quickly, but have managed to stick with running regularly for several years now. I've also really enjoy kickboxing and zumba lately as well. I like workouts that constantly keep me moving at a fast pace. I never could get into yoga or pilates for that reason. I like David's "eat less and move more" idea. You don't have to finish everything on your plate just because it's there. And if you're close enough to walk somewhere, do it, or take the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator.

Great photos, Eric! I absolutely loved Europa Park and it's definitely on my list of parks that I would visit again in the future. -

My only complaint about Spook Slot is that there were no seats! I was half-asleep and had no idea what was happening, but I'm glad we weren't yelled at in Dutch. I wish someone had a photo of Steve in the Europa mad house! -

Ah, I couldn't remember who took the group photo of us in front of the Hollywood Tour sign! Yeah, that was an interesting ride. -

Yay, the German fair was one of my favorite parts of the trip! I love the bunny man. Bwahahaha! -
Thanks for posting these amazing photos from a fabulous trip!

Great TR! Movieland Studios was definitely a unique park, and I will never forget the insanity of getting soaked on U-571.

Splash Mountain has been closed for most of January for the past several years. I've never had a problem using late fastpasses either. -

What a fun week - great TR! I've been a fan of the Houdini mad house at Six Flags and really enjoyed checking out the various mad houses in Europe. Too bad there aren't more here! -

New Kids on the Block 2 nights in a row at Radio City Music Hall! Yeah!!

I want to say that there were at least 50,000 participants this past January for all of the races. I did find some narrow sections of the road a bit crowded, but it wasn't too unbearable. The wave starts keep things pretty well organized, too. It's usually the packet pickup at the Wide World of Sports that is a huge headache with the crowds for me.
-
I've noticed that this year, the races aren't selling out as quickly as they have in the past, which could be why they've added this incentive. I remember when the Goofy Challenge used to sell out in less than a month! They've expanded the number of participants and raised the prices - It's really getting out of hand! I do plan on doing the Goofy Challenge once again, but haven't registered yet and don't plan on doing so until they start posting that it is close to selling out. I already have an AP, but I think this is a good idea. The WDW resorts do sell out over marathon weekend, yet the crowds in the parks remain fairly light. It's always entertaining to see people limping around the parks a day or two after the races are over. One of the smaller WDW races, the Expedition Everest Challenge, is coming up this month, and a one-day park ticket is included in the registration fee. I wish they would make that offer optional, because AP holders don't need it and it makes registration more expensive. BTW, if you're considering doing the Goofy Challenge, it's totally worth it, but be prepared for a lot of pain!!

I thought the finale was great, and liked it much more than most of the episodes this season! It's a shame that it won't be continued.
-
I have mixed feeling about the finale. I need to watch it again, but my initial reaction was "That was it?? Really?!?!?". I mean, I get what they were trying to do, but I'm not buying the fact that this was the ending that they had planned out from the beginning. I also found parts of it to be way too sappy. Even though I did get choked up when Vincent laid down next to Jack at the end - Add a dog to an already emotional scene and I'm pretty much a mess. Meh, bring on 24 tonight!!

I had an absolutely awesome time at Bay Area Bash! Well, except for barfing after Centrifuge and spending the second part of the CGA day at first aid. Thanks for putting together yet another fantastic trip!! The party bus rocked!

Great TR! That was a fun weekend, even though the rain cut the SFNE day a bit short. I loved that groundhog at SFGAdv!! -
I loved the first episode of the series, and I still watch it regularly, but I feel like it's gone a bit downhill since the beginning. I'll still watch it, though. I've also been enjoying "V" a lot.

I don't remember reading about the tracks on the next Glee soundtrack, but there appear to be some mentioned in this article - http://www.theatermania.com/new-york/news/04-2010/jonathan-groff-neil-patrick-harris-idina-menzel-ol_26870.html Idina Menzel singing "Poker Face" should be pretty amazing!

Open bar?!?!?! Woohoo, that is amazing! Thanks R&E - I can't wait! -
I'm in for the Disneyland half too. It's an awesome race, just as long as it isn't as hot as it was in 2007!!
