Climb to the Top - A National MS Society Fundraiser

Yup! I totally haven't trained in running over the past few weeks, but have done a ton of other cardio, so hopefully that'll be enough to get through the Princess half marathon. Good luck! -

The event was this morning and it was awesome! Thanks to the donations I received, I was able to raise $725 for the National MS Society. So thank you all once again for that! I climbed the 66 flights at Rockefeller Center in 16 minutes and 30 seconds. I loved it and would totally do an event like this again, hopefully also for this or another great charity. Photo TR coming soon. -

With one week left 'til the event, I thought I would give this thread one last bump. Any last minute donations would be awesome. I've been doing lots of extra work on the stairmaster! Thanks again! -

This is great!! I never really cared for SpectroMagic. Even though the Electrical Parade was all wrong for DCA, I always tried to see it when it was running there. It's such a classic Disney parade. Can't wait to see it back on Main Street where it belongs! -
LOVE it!!

Glad to see Claire back on the island! Didn't Claire say Aaron's name before Ethan did and that's how he knew it?

Same. This is amazing.

The Google, Letterman, and Snickers ads were definite stand outs for me. Betty White rocks.

Really nice job. I like the new look a lot!

I love this show so much. **SPOILER BELOW** So, is Sayid the new Jacob?? And we got to see Juliet die again, heh.

Less than an hour to go here!! Ahhh! I'll start watching the recap episode soon just to refresh my memory.

Disney Itinerary Help 2/4-2/10/10

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite Disney resorts, and all of their restaurants are awesome. I would recommend trying to fit in time for a meal at at least one of those. Boma and Jiko are at Jambo House and Sanaa is at Kidani Village. I loved the food at Sanaa, and have never seen it too crowded. I would say try going there for lunch so you can see the animals in the daylight - they get fairly close to the windows! Fantasia Gardens mini golf is located right across from the Swan/Dolphin. I've never been there, but it's supposed to be more challenging that the other mini golf course, Winter Summerland, located at Blizzard Beach. Taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom from the AKL is one of the longer bus rides you'll have to the parks, probably around 20 minutes. Bus service can also be hit or miss, so I would leave about an hour before if you have dining reservations. California Grill is excellent, and you can see the Wishes fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from there. I actually enjoy watching those fireworks more from outside the park anyway. I'm not sure what nights Fantasmic is playing, but ever since they've cut back on the schedule, the theatre fills up early. I haven't seen it in a while, but last month my friend got there a little over an hour before show time to get a seat. If you decide to eat at Beaches N Cream, they don't take reservations, so going at an off peak dining time makes it easier. I loved Chefs de France in Epcot. Any day except Sundays are good for lunch, because that's when Remy from Ratatouille is there. Snacking (and drinking) around Epcot is also never a bad idea. Spend some time relaxing at the Animal Kingdom Lodge/Villas. At night at Jambo House, you can look at the animals through night vision goggles. They also have other neat activities throughout the day, such as a brief culinary tour at their restaurants. And you have to try the Zebra Domes! They sell them at the quick service place, Mara, at Jambo House, or at Boma's dinner buffet. Have fun!! -

Less than a month to go! Any amount you can donate would be awesome. Thanks again!! -
Taylor Swift doesn't sound very good singing live, does she? Loved Gaga/Elton John, Pink and Green Day. I'm over Beyonce.

Legoland CA / Robb's Birthday Cruise Photo TR

Great TR! I really need to visit Legoland one of these days. The zipline looked awesome! I've done it at Dollywood and hope to try it again someplace like where you guys were. And you picked a great week to get away from Florida - It was freezing! -
I love Vegas! I almost went there last month but never got around to it. Glad to hear that I wasn't missing anything special. I also like to try and see a show or two when I visit Vegas. I've seen Phantom twice, even though it's still playing here in NY, too. I prefer the shortened version that they have, and the scenery and special effects are terrific. I have to see more Cirque du Soleil shows. I've only seen O and Mystere, which were both enjoyable.

I was asked to do this by a friend, who knows that I do various endurance events. She has a close friend with MS, and I wanted to help her out as best as I could. Most events I do have participants from a variety of charities, but this one is specifically for MS. -

Got any spare change leftover from the weekend? Feel free to use it towards a donation to the MS Society! Thanks SO much for the donations I have already received!! A very rough draft of the shirt I might use for the stair-climbing event.
