Same!! Have you done the Goofy (or Dopey) Challenge before? This January will be my third time doing that. It's insane and I'm such a wreck afterwards, but I love it. I just got over a really bad flu (possibly swine flu), and only got back into training. I don't know if I'll be 100% ready for the Vegas marathon next month, but I'm working on it!

Theme Park Review's "Halloween in Orlando" 2009

That was a great day and an amazing tour. HHN makes me scream like such a girl. I even got scared in the day time in the Dracula house with the lights on, thanks to Michael Roddy sneaking up on us!! -
Great TR from an awesome trip! I didn't take too many pictures at Busch Gardens so I really enjoyed seeing some more details from that. I was kind of out of it that day, with the start of some awful cold/flu, but I remember being pretty impressed with what they did.

Glee is by far my favorite new show this season. I'm pretty much going to love anything with musical numbers in it, but this show delivers all around. Jane Lynch is awesome. And Matthew Morrison...

Oh, Piers - Whether you're classy, fancy, or truthful, you're always entertaining. That dinner at Carrabba's was certainly a highlight of the trip! Sorry I couldn't keep up with you in the drinking. I don't know if anyone can!! -
^I don't own any recordings from Big River, but I saw it on Broadway when they made a revival done with sign language. It was really interesting and a great production! Do it!

Aquatica's Omaka Rocka announced for March 2010

Yay! I haven't been to Aquatica since a few months after it opened, and thought that it was nice but needed something more. Glad to see that they're expanding it. -
Yay! And even though Avenue Q closed on Broadway last month, they reopened it at an Off-Broadway theatre again this month. I have to see it again sometime. I'm also dying to see the new Broadway revival of Ragtime. I loved the original production - I hope this one doesn't disappoint!

Thanks, Robb and Elissa, for another awesome trip! I wish I wasn't sick for most of the Epcot day, though I did run into drunk Joey when I finally got there - I'll buy you a drink next time! Lots of great memories from the past week... the awful "table service" at Buffalo Wild Wings. Piers' IllumiGaytions show, and being served mystery shots poolside - Fancy! Our attempt to get through the rain at the Magic Kingdom to change into costumes for MNSSHP, while dining on soup and waffles along the way. Trying not to run and scream at HHN and Howl-O-Scream, and failing miserably at both. Even got scared during the daytime tour of a HHN house by Michael Roddy! I'm sure there are lots of things I've left out, but I think my Nyquil is starting to kick in. Thanks again everyone, and I hope to see you all soon!!!! Bitch, please! -
I force myself to get out and run at the crack of dawn nearly every morning. I used to be kind of a fatty, so I do it to maintain my weight, but I also sign up for races so I can have some sort of goal to work towards. I'm currently training for the Las Vegas marathon in December and the Disney World half and full marathons in January.

I saw P!nk on Monday and Kelly Clarkson last night. Both were fabulous! I'm a sucker for their cheesy pop songs, what can I say. Kelly's show was fairly simple, with a big band backing her up. I've seen her in concert quite a few times, and just adore her, but have found her vocals to be a bit rough sometimes. Here, she sounded flawless, maybe because it was only her third show of this tour. I was very impressed! P!ink's show was insanely awesome! Not only can she sing her face off, but she also pulled off some crazy circus-like acrobatics. Really an incredible show.

Disneyland Resort Guided Tours

My vote also goes to the A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. They offer a lot of great stories and information about the park. I don't know if the rides are always the same, but we got to go on Jungle Cruise and the Railroad. We also got to peek into Club 33, which was very cool. The tour concludes with a nice lunch just off of Main Street and you get a souvenir pin. I've also been on the Cruzin' DCA tour, and thought that was fun as well. But the park is a bit of a mess now, with all of the construction going on. The segways are awesome and just riding around the empty walkways of the park on them is a blast. We also got breakfast included, and a souvenir pin and group photo. Have fun!! -

I have a friend who feels the same way and absolutely refuses to fly. It's a common fear and you're definitely not alone! That's great that you conquered your fear a bit for this trip! I had the worst panic attack the first time I flew after 9/11. And it was to London, so it was miserable feeling that way for the majority of an 8 hour flight. Now the way people drive around here, I actually do feel much safer flying. -

^ Ohhh, I totally forgot about Nascar Speed Park and Zuma Fun Center. -
The South Park movie is awesome. My friend and I still sing the Kyle's Mom song randomly whenever we think of it. I'll have to watch it again one of these days.

Great TR! And I feel your pain - I was terrified to fly right after 9/11. Xanax was my best friend for getting through those flights. Luckily I don't need that anymore, but I'm still a fan of the occasional in-flight alcoholic beverage. -
Ahh, jealous! I ran the marathon last year but didn't get in this year. It's on November 1 - I have friends running in it so I'm sure I'll go watch it at some point. You could check out the WTC site since you'll be fairly close. I've been around there a bunch of times since 9/11 but haven't really taken a close look at what's there - just don't really want to be reminded of that day. But I'm sure it's interesting to see! I'd say take the Staten Island Ferry for a free ride that offers a nice view of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. Central Park is also worth visiting. That's where the last 2 miles or so of the marathon takes place. John's Pizzeria on Bleeker Street is quite good and popular for Italian food. There's also one in the theatre district. I always tell people visiting to stop by the Magnolia Bakery for cupcakes (or any of their amazing baked goods). The original is also on Bleeker Street, but others have popped up at Rockefeller Center and the upper west side. I'd also recommend seeing a Broadway show if you can. There are lots of ways to get good deals on tickets, such as lotteries, student rush, and TKTS. My personal favorite show these days is Hair.

It was great meeting you guys!! I had such a blast at those parks - Especially Dollywood, the zip-line and zorbing. Hopefully we can all hang out again soon! -
Haha, awesome update. Alabama was so freaking hot!! After the first ride on Rampage, I had my doubts about enduring a whole ERT session on it. But after a few more rides (and tylenol), I forgot about the pain and just enjoyed the pure insanity of it.
