Same here. I like to have some sort of souvenir from each park I visit, and magnets are perfect for that. I also have a collection of medals from the various races I run, as well as playbills from each show that I see.

They are pretty weird, but I actually like them! I got the Figment, Monorail and SMRT-1 at DLR, and I wasn't going to get anymore, but then the World of Disney in NYC got a shipment. So now Kermit and Yeti have joined the gang. Anyway, great TR so far, Matt!

I've been a vegetarian for several years now, but I truly suck at cooking. I'm really enjoying this thread though, and maybe I'll even try some of these myself. Right now I stick to things that I can't screw up too much - Boca and Morningstar (I'm obsessed with their buffalo wings!) products, pasta, beans and veggies. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Haha, I wonder who that was. But wow, there were walls up a few weeks ago, but not as much as there is now. I actually love DCA and thought it was a beautiful park. I have no problem with the changes they're planning, though. I wouldn't mind seeing the park closed for a bit while they get things in order over there.

The challenges this season that have food in them are hilarious. First we get runaway cheese wheels, and this week was pie in the face. I love it!

I forgot that came out on DVD this month! I tried to get tickets for the last show through their ticket lotto (I failed) and the camera crew was there to film stuff. I'm curious to see if I'm in it. Pierce Brosnan's "singing" makes my ears bleed.
-
I totally would have done that too. But whatever, that cheese task was one of the funniest things I've seen! I loved the guys at the bottom of the hill laughing at them. And those things that they were supposed to carry the cheese on wasn't too sturdy. I would have attempted to make some sort of sled out of it instead.

Oooh, I own many CDs that make me hang my head in shame. A few that come to mind are Clay Aiken, O-Town, and the soundtrack to one of the most amazing movies ever, Snakes on a Plane.

It's true, I never get sick of WDW TRs. And as always Chuck, your captions make them even more entertaining. I didn't get a chance to ride Space Mountain the last time I was there, but I hope to get a few rides in next time before the rehab. Glad to see that it's still in decent shape. Am I crazy (don't answer that...) or did the stars on the DHS hat used to be white? I actually picked up a few of those gremlin-looking Mickey figures when I was in Disneyland. Unfortunately, you don't know which ones you're getting until you open them, but I ended up with the best ones anyway - Figment, Epcot, and Monorail. The Kermit one is also kinda cute. Anyway, great TR - looks like you guys had fun! Renee

Wow, mine are really, really embarrassing. This is from my iPod I use for running only. I don't use iTunes for my main mp3 player since it's not an iPod. I swear I have better music on that one!! 1. Break the Ice - Britney Spears 2. Behind These Hazel Eyes - Kelly Clarkson 3. The Best Damn Thing - Avril Lavigne 4. Circus - Britney Spears 5. If U Seek Amy - Britney Spears 6. See You Again - Miley Cyrus 7. Gone - Kelly Clarkson 8. U & Ur Hand - Pink 9. Dirty Dancing - New Kids on the Block 10. Little Miss Obsessive - Ashlee Simpson

VH1 reality shows and Britney Spears music.

My Thursday nights are complete once again now that HK has returned. I just love Gordon Ramsay and him yelling obscenities at those people. Donkeys and donuts! Kitchen Nightmares (the US version - I've never seen the British one) is good, but it's so disgusting to see what some of those restaurants are like. And I actually had a terrible meal several years ago at one they had on there in NYC!

The movie of The Lion King is one of my favorite movies ever, but there's something about the musical that I just don't like. I don't hate it, and it's very creative with a few beautiful moments. But yeah, I would have given the Tony to Ragtime. I just saw Billy Elliot the musical and was extremely impressed with it. I can't see this not winning the Tony. And wow, the boy that played Billy - such an amazingly talented kid, and there are 3 different boys alternating the role.

It took me about 10 minutes of reloading the page, but I was finally able to get through and got a "Hitchhiker" ticket to the event. I have an AP, and though I did have to log into the Disney website, I didn't have to give any AP info.

A little help from my friends....

I think I've been to WDW just a few times. All done! -
I've been looking into going to this as well, since I was planning on being at Disneyland during that week anyway and Haunted Mansion is probably my favorite ride ever. I'm not into pin trading and stuff like that though, so I'm trying to figure out if this is actually worth it for me. I came across the merchandise that they're going to have available: http://www.register123.com/event/profile/web/index.cfm?PKwebID=0x151184125e&varPage=home Some of the stuff is very cool, but I don't know that I'd actually buy any of it. The only thing that I really want is the sneakers!

The Bryan and Adam Show Thread

Another hilarious update guys! The Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure is my new favorite thing - I played it in 5 of the countries (Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, and UK) this past week. If you haven't already, I'd suggest trying it in Germany next time. I had the most fun with that one! The only other one besides the UK where you had to ask a CM for something was in China. -
I like both the movie and stage versions of Phantom. Even though Gerard Butler is super hot, I can't stand him in the movie. Every actor I've seen in the stage production has been a million times better. I adore Patrick Wilson, though. But yeah, even though there are a ton of differences in the movie and show, it's still possible to like both of them. And I *love* the Vegas production! After seeing it on Broadway several times, it was great to see a fresh take on the show.

The InBev/Busch Discussion Thread

The free beer was always a nice way to relax and take a break from the park. That's too bad they won't be offering it anymore. -
That should be on everyone's resolution list. I always say I'm going to eat healthier, but why bother. I've already eaten all sorts of crap today - cookies, candy, potato chips, fries, grilled cheese, more cookies. One thing I seriously want to do is to stop worrying about what other people think. I also want to run at least 1 half marathon every month. I hope to try and train better for them, as well as become a bit faster. 2008 overall was a good year and I met a bunch of great new people through TPR. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2009!

Yes, it's hilarious! Definitely one of my favorites. I saw it a few weeks ago. Thought it was a really cute, old fashioned type musical, which was kind of refreshing to see for a change. Too bad that it isn't playing longer, but I guess they only wanted to keep it around for the holiday season.

We don't usually exchange a ton of gifts for Christmas, but I did get Guitar Hero Decades game for Nintendo DS, a digital luggage scale, slippers, candy (Snickers and Reeses), and a Disneyland annual pass.
-
I really enjoyed Shrek and will definitely need to get that CD. The cast is just terrific, but Christopher Sieber absolutely steals the show as Lord Farquaad! I didn't *love* [title of show], but thought it was cute and had a lot of heart.

Great TR! Disney photos always brighten my day. YES! I still can't handle the fact that it got canceled. -
Photo/Video TR: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
nay replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I love WDW Christmas pictures! I also attended a sold out party this year and still found the crowds to be manageable. Only near the castle did things get to be kind of jammed.
