I knew nothing about Miss Saigon before I saw it, and the ending absolutely killed me. On a lighter note, I have to add that I saw the new Broadway musical Shrek over the weekend. It just started performances, and it needs a bit of work here and there, but overall, I had so much fun! This is one I would definitely see again.

That's too bad - The recent Philly production was outstanding. I wish I could have seen that one more than once but I never made it back there. I read somewhere that it might tour again, possibly next year. I hope that's true, since it always seems to do well. Though I think most productions of Les Miz these days are the "school edition". While I didn't love Sweet Charity that much, Christina Applegate was surprisingly good in it!

I was obsessed with The Last Five Years when it ran Off-Broadway, and saw it around 5 times or so. Everything about that show is beautiful. I was just listening to my favorite song from it, "If I Didn't Believe In You" - LOVE the lyrics in that. Harvey is beyond fabulous in Hairspray! I'm so thrilled that he'll be the final Edna.

Awesome TR from an amazing trip. Thanks for everything! I had a blast and met so many great people! Thanks, so are you! Hope to see you again on another trip! Renee -
This show is hilarious! Mystery is such a tool.

I had to quote Hector here because I didn't know anyone else had heard of and loved the soundtrack to A New Brain. It's my favorite musical soundtrack and I would have killed to see it. Ooh, A New Brain is great!! I've seen a ridiculous amount of musicals, but my favorite has always been Les Miz. I honestly don't even know how many times I've seen it. I'm also a fan of tons of others, especially Rocky Horror, Cabaret, The Last Five Years, Spamalot, and Avenue Q, just to name a few.

Wow, could I possibly look any more awful and hungover in that SSE photo? My memory is so fuzzy from that night but I do remember being promised Illuminations: Reflections of Piers. Sadly, I either missed it or it never happened. Good to meet you, Terry! Sorry if I was completely trashed when I talked to you! Here's a photo to add to the photo op of the photo op... Nerds

What a great idea! I can have one from NY in the mail within the week. -
Great TR so far. It was a blast hanging out with you guys last week! It sucks that your phone never turned up, though. And wow, I could not look more awful drinking that Beverly. That stuff is vile.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with drinking beer at Margaritaville! Here's another vote for you.

I'm afraid of throwing up. Obviously no one is a fan of it, but it just freaks me out.

I have a ton of TV to catch up on, but a usual week consists of How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, Heroes, Samantha Who, 90210, Pushing Daisies, Survivor, Ugly Betty, 30 Rock, The Soup, Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live, The Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, and The Simpsons. My life will be complete again when Lost and 24 return. And I'm not gonna lie, I have an awful addiction to the trashy reality shows on MTV and VH1.

Noooo!! I fear that the Boo to You music will be trapped in my head for life. Great TR Erik, and it was nice meeting you! "It's really not so scary!" -
I went to the New Kids on the Block concert at the Izod Center in NJ this week. Yeah, I know you're all jealous. They put on a really fun show! It was such a blast to see them all together again, especially performing their old songs.

Sept 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate Day
nay replied to downunder's topic in Random, Random, Random
Talk Like a Pirate Day is the best! I was at Disneyland a few years ago on 9/19 so I celebrated by riding POTC. While no one at that ride cared, the ride op at Star Tours made a big deal about it and told everyone what day it was as we boarded the ride. Arrrrrrr. -
While on vacation on the west coast last week, I managed to have a few beers along the way. And I ended the trip with the Woodie Gold. Then the Windandsea Wheat Hefeweizen. I had the Amber Lager first. The Karl Strauss beer truck was a frequent stop for an afternoon break at Disney's California Adventure. I was starting to feel crappy from being in the sun too long, but the beer made it all better. I had their Huntington Beach Blonde beer. Now in California, we stopped in at the Huntington Beach Beer Co. I didn't love their veggie burgers, but I was happy with the beer sampler. Later on we hit the Burger Bar at Mandalay Place. I had the Sapporo beer there. Not amazing, but it sure tasted good in the 100+ degree weather. Mandalay Bay's awesome beach in Las Vegas was the first stop.

I have low blood pressure too and have noticed the black out feeling occasionally. Lately the one that's bothered me the most has been the helix on Nitro. -
