  1. Wow, that is one crappy video!! I was at the park yesterday and got 2 rides in on Rockit. The sign outside the ride said it opened at 10am. I got there around 10:15 and one train was running. The single rider line was open so I hopped on that while I waited for my friends to finish up breakfast at CityWalk. They added two more trains while I waited, and the ride stopped for technical issues for about 10 minutes. It took just over an hour but I finally got on. I thought it was a fun ride overall. I bit rough in row 5, as others have said. It feels a lot slower than I thought it would, but I think that once it gets going, it will be a nice addition to the park. It's tame enough for all ages to enjoy. I went to get one more ride on it before we left the park and it was shut down. Waited that out about a half hour and it reopened. Got on the single rider line, which was a fairly short wait, and was put in the front row. I enjoyed it much more the second time. Much smoother, and the view from the front was very cool. Though a few trains later, the ride shut down again. Oh, and I chose "Pump It" and "Bring Me to Life" as my song choices.
  2. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Orlando yesterday. New credit, yay!
  3. Yay! I had such an awesome time at those parks with you guys. Those fish at IB were vile, though. Nice to see this thread has turned pornographic, too.
  4. ^ While I haven't been to Silver Dollar City, I have to agree that Blazing Fury at Dollywood might have the best ending, if only for those 4 magic words. "Fire in the hole!!"
  5. I saw 9 to 5 here and also enjoyed it a lot. Really a cute, fun show! Megan Hilty, who plays the role that Dolly played in the movie, is just terrific. Too bad it's closing so soon. Whenever I have a free night, I try the ticket lottery for West Side Story, but I haven't had any luck so far, grrrr. Looks like the next musical I'll probably see will be Bye Bye Birdie next month starring John Stamos.
  6. ^ Yes! I have nothing to compare it to, but it was one of the best rides at SFOG, as well as one of my favorite things on the whole Deep South trip! A really nicely done attraction. Loved it!
  7. Yikes... We noticed that our boat had practically no air in the bottom part of it when we got off the ride.
  8. I totally would do that if I could! I'll be running the NYC 1/2 marathon that day instead. It's cool to see another theme park with an event like that.
  9. The Wilderness Lodge looks gorgeous and is definitely a resort I'm dying to stay at one day. It reminds me a bit of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is probably my favorite WDW resort right now. Can't wait to see the rest!
  10. I have no previous rides to compare it to, but I liked Viper a lot that day! Iron Wolf, on the other hand... ouch!!
  11. Very cool photos! I literally just got home from a quick trip to Chicago too, but had already been up the Sears Tower several years ago. I don't know that I would go out on that ledge, though! It's such a nice city and it was tough to leave there this morning!
  12. Yup, the lines were super long, but QBot was our savior. I'm kind of in love with it. Thanks to everyone for such a fun day!!
  13. Thanks for posting those! I didn't get to take too many pictures yesterday since my bag was usually being guarded by someone else. And I'm so happy that someone got a picture of the old woman getting on Ricochet, even though that's probably what we'll all still be doing at that age! It was nice meeting you guys!
  14. I didn't know that this thread existed but I thought I would pop in and say hey since I'll be seeing some of you tomorrow. I don't know what I'm going to wear yet, but I know it won't be as hot as Matt's outfit. Cameron and Matt - Thanks again for an awesome day at IB!!
  15. I was there too, so much traffic with the Phillies game going on at the same time but the concert was great. It was also good that they did a lot of older songs since I don't like the new album as much as their 90's albums. I also saw Green Day earlier this week at MSG - they were great! I love their older songs, but I enjoy their newer stuff as well, so I was happy to have a combination of both in the set list. The people that they brought up on stage were too funny. One was a kid who was totally into it and had the crowd going crazy. But my favorite was the guy who dove off of the stage and totally failed.
  16. I loved the Pigeon Forge area! The Zorb was awesome. It was so crazy and disorienting to roll down a hill like that! All of our "birthing" pictures are hilarious. Ugh, I forgot about the evil go-kart children at the Nascar park. And yeah, I think the Zuma credit was a new low for me.
  17. ^I really wanted to try the Andy Gator last night but they were out of it. Boo.
  18. I have a friend visiting here this week and we stopped by a New Orleans themed bar tonight that I've been wanting to check out for a while. Had a few Abita Purple Hazes, which I've had before, but it's been a while. Good stuff!
  19. True, and at least they still served beer in the "damp" town of Pigeon Forge! At a BBQ today, I had to settle for Michelob Ultra, because I failed to read on the invite that it was BYOB. Blah.
  20. I know what you mean! It freaked me out at first when I started to turn and I wanted to straighten out. I definitely spent too much time concentrating on that rather than enjoying the view. Oh man, I almost forgot about that!!
  21. ^^I saw Rock of Ages a few months ago and it was by no means the best show ever, it was a fun night. It's insanely loud and full of cheesy 80's music. Definitely not your typical Broadway experience!
  22. The zipline was awesome! So glad that I got to experience that and would love to try it again someplace else one day. I went with the second group - Hope it's ok if I post our photo! TPR Zipline Group #2
  23. Goliath at SFOG. It was an awesome coaster to end the Deep South trip with!
  24. We should be ashamed of ourselves for both! But with the amount of fun we had, I wouldn't have changed a second of it.
  25. I'm sadly back home now as well, and had the most amazing week in the Deep South with all of you! I'm sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye to some of you last night, but the time we spent marathoning Goliath was certainly a great way to end the trip. I have so many awesome memories and made great new friends who I hope to spend more time with in the future. I'm actually getting a bit choked up as I type this!! Robb and Elissa, you both simply rock. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the incredible job you guys did in making this trip such an amazing event. I truly appreciate everything that you have done for us. I hope those that continued on to Texas are having a blast, and those who traveled back home today had a safe journey. Now I must go devour a loaf of cinnamon bread from Dollywood that managed to survive the flight back. "Snacky snack snack snack snack..."
