Contrary to reports otherwise...
Tanks4me05 replied to texcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh, yeah, I forgot about Boomerangs. Of the five I have ridden (HP, TGE, DL, LC, and SFNE) none of them hurt at all. Plus, you also have to realize that those babies pull 5.2 G's. The only coasters that pull any more than that that I'm aware of are a few select Schwarzkopf's, B&M Flyers, and the grand daddy of them all, Gold Reef City's Tower of Terror (6.3 G's! - Worm definitely has something unique for his homepark) -
Nürburgring launched coaster
Tanks4me05 replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Actually, it will tie to TTD's top speed - One kilometer is 0.6 miles - multiply 200 by 0.6 and you get 120. -
Ok, the thing is, I found a recreation of Dominator on WWS and TN, but I have been having login problems for months... so, is it possible for anyone to either... A: Download a Dominator/Batman: Knight Flight recreation for NL from either WWS or TN and upload it here (if you are a member to one of those sites) or B: Provide a link to a different site that has a recreation of the coaster. I already googled Dominator multiple times (and in multiple variations of the name) and I didn't find anything.

-Hydra: The Revenge - It's actually surprisingly forceful. People go around saying it pulls like 1.5 G's, but it probably pulls around 3, so it really is not forceless. The first drop has a nice pop of air, and the Jo Jo Roll was pretty fun. The most forceful part I remember was the Cobra Roll. Plus it has an almost graceful aura to it. -Mantis - Yeah, it hurts at the end, but that's what I like about it - the throw you around character of it is really fun IMO. Plus that ride is really intense. -Ride of Steel - Yeah, it has a flat section, and the helices are big, but the flat section gives you a nice sense of speed, and the Intamin Rattle it has actually increases the sense of speed. Plus, the airtime over the hills, (although not as many in terms of sheer number) actually is close to SFNE's Superman in terms of intensity. Plus, the helices have caused me a gray out or two, and I found a bit of "riding etiquette" to maximize the G's - lean in the opposite direction the helices are traveling to get the most G's. -B:TR - SFNE - The back seat is a little rough, albeit painless (it's more of an Intamin Rattle) but the front seat is more forceful, anyway. The ride is compact and quite intense, that ride is great. Even better, right before closing, there was virtually no line, so I basically got an informal ERT of a good 4 or 5 consecutive rides between the front and back row. I never knew that thing had a trim until someone told me on coasterfuel.com yesterday... -Mind Eraser - SFNE - I was expecting a world of hurt after all that I heard about this seemingly infamous ride. But by the time I actually rode it - I was baffled... it was painless. The restraints were so soft, I could actually focus on the intense ride that it really is. I even considered putting it my top 10! Who would have guessed, an SLC almost made my top 10 steel list. -Mean Streak - Yes it hurt, but it was big, and that "kick you around" character is what I like about the ride. -

Dude, ultra cool and modern drop tower scenery stuff. I think it rules over all. Anyway, the coaster looks cool, too. -
Three years ago, I tried thinking of making a "signature smiley", so I came up with one that has four buck teeth. I still use it to this day, and I recently made a series of emoticons, so to speak, including "huh?" "D'oh!" "mad" etc.

1: Audi RSQ -Driven by Will Smith in "I, Robot" -Audi has actually made a small number of these cars -Main feature: Spherical Wheels, similar to the old style mouse rollers - enables the car to move in any lateral direction. http://img.slate.com/media/1/123125/2116707/2133610/2137155/060327_HE_AudiEX.jpg 2: Volkswagen W12 Coupe http://carsmedia.ign.com/cars/image/article/798/798874/classic-concepts-volkswagen-w12-coupe-20070622034149770.jpg 3: Mazda Ryuga http://www.diseno-art.com/images_2/Mazda_Ryuga_concept.jpg 4: Saturn Curve http://avto.over.net/slike/1/293-saturn-curve-spredaj.jpg 5: Last but not least, the Lotus Elise. http://www.dragtimes.com/images/9674-2005-Lotus-Elise.jpg

First off, someone please tell me if these pics are too big. If they are, I will immediately resize them once I check again in this forum, which probably won't be that often today because I'm getting Mass Effect for my Xbox 360 in a few hours. Here we have Predator. And here, Mind Eraser. Once again, a video screenshot, but of Viper. This is actually a screenshot from my DL 2007 video, but this is Mind Eraser. This is a shot of Great Bear and Sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark, taken while on the Kissing Tower. Sweet shot of Storm Runner. (Hey, a semi alliteration!) Another sweet shot of Storm Runner. Lake Compounce's Boulder Dash. This ride kicks butt. One of Boulder Dash's bunny hops. Lake Compounce's Enterprise at Sunset. Top Spin at the New York State Fair. It would be fun if this baby could do 108 flips. Also from the New York State Fair, the KMG Fireball from on ride (taken with permission) from the smaller Ferris Wheel. This is the lift of Bear Trax and Jack Rabbit from Seabreeze. Screamin' Eagle. Whirlwind, THROUGH THE TRACK!!! Here is S:ROS at SFNE. Still SFNE, Flashback and Cyclone. Here is a pic of Batman: The Ride - which is in fact very underrated, IMO. Oh well, more rides for me. A picture of Sylvan Beach's SDC Galaxi, which actually pulls soome nice airtime and G's in the back seat. This is Thunder Island - and FEC in Fulton, NY about 20 minutes away from my home. I took this pic last January, and believe it or not, that Ferris Wheel is THE Ferris Wheel from Tom Hanks' movie "Big." Here is the first drop of Dania Beach Hurricane at Boomers. The ride op who is one of the managers said I could bring my cameras on ride, and I didn't even ask. But this time, it's all SheiKra. Here is another onride of DBH, mid course. A Sihlouette shot of Montu @ BGA. Again at BGA, this time we have a little SheiKra and Scorpion.

http://www.amusementgraffixintl.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=16829#16829 Look for timmy198's post near the bottom of the page. I just asked him to provide a link to the website he claimed is very reliable. Anyway, timmy198 states that the two new ride are: 1: A Huss Giant Frisbee 2: An Indoor themed spinning coaster (unspecified company) inside the Batman Stunt Show Building. Ok, if these rides actually come, I will be very happy. Sure, it's not a big coaster, but DL desperately needs a family coaster, and a big *modern* flat ride also. If these rides are actually coming, I have very high hopes for PARC 7F and they would DEFINITELY be taking a step in the right direction.

That just made my day.

The only thing I'm going to do is sit in front of my 42 Inch Toshiba Regza LCD TV, playing Mass Effect on my Xbox 360 until I die of sleep deprevation, dehydration, or starvation. Whatever comes first. (I pre ordered it a couple of weeks ago, and there's only 5 days left until it's out!!!! W00T!!!) But of course, my relatives from Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Albany, and some other places around Central New York are coming to visit.

Siam Park - Waterpark in the Canary Islands

Deine Englisch ist gut, aber auf Englisch, buchstabieren wir Dezember mit einem "C", nicht "Z". (Entschuldigen Sie mich für meine Deutsch) -Tanks "German is cool" 4me05 Anyway, I can easily say that this looks like one of the best waterparks on the planet. There is so much detail to everything! -
Game: When was the last time you...

A few weeks ago. I saw it coming down right in front of me. I was surprised, but i really wasn't that scared, I just let it be. YOU SAW ADAM AND JAMIE?!?! Lucky. That show is awesome. Anyway, when was the last time you clogged the toilet to the point it overflowed? -
A Sign from NL 2?
Tanks4me05 replied to airforcekid's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
True, but the Vekoma motorbike was released as a demo and then used in NL 1.5, so let's hope NL 1.7 is coming. -
I basically listen to anything from Backstreet Boys (yeah, I'm stuck in the '90s like my dad is stuck in the '60s) to Pete Warren (bet you never heard of him) to Autopilot Off to the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Me, I would be more of a "cool nerd." I am one of a very high intelligence, I'm one of the best Tuba players in the county, I like roller coasters a lot, yet I still have a lot of friends. I am (well, actually almost all of the smart people in my school) are actually respected for our intelligence, not picked on, for the most part. We tend to have cool nerds, outcasts, popular people, "skimpy" girls, (I'm putting it in a nice way) skaters, jocks, emo, "punks" (those who constantlyplay guitar, basically only listen to '80's rock and think that any type of music other than '80's rock is a piece of complete crap). Luckily there are no band geeks because heck some of the popular people play instruments and the music in our schools are actually pretty well respected, and those popular people are actaully pretty nice. The only people that really pick on me are the punks, but they are just losers. Since I am one of only two people in my school district that knows about NL (and since I've had it for three years) I am actually considered the coaster guru - my designs are well known to be insane, which in fact, I'm doing a presentation in Project Lead the Way for NL (high school engineering course.) So yeah, I guess I am lucky to be in a school where nerds aren't really nerds, we are considered a higher status.

Roller Coasters in the RAW DVD
Tanks4me05 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wait, you went on Phaethon already?! I thought the Korea trip wasn't for a while... Unless you are saying to pre order it because you haven't finished. -
I would like to reiterate - do you know if you are going to any New York State parks in the East Coast trip?

ERT - acronym for Exclusive Ride Time Exlcusive Ride Time (n.) Definition: When guests, usually of a roller coaster enthusiast club, get to ride one or more roller coasters in a park exclusively. This is usually set either before the park opens or after it closes. Hope that helps.

Hmmm, I rode it in April, and although, yes, the ride is trimmed quite a bit on the MCBR, it didn't do a full stop for me, and frankly the G's on the batwing were INSANE and even though it probably lost almost half it's speed on the MCBR, the rest of the ride was still very intense. Either A: I cought Montu on a really good day or B: you caught Montu on a really bad day. Anyway, a coaster that just pisses me off is probably Crazy Mouse at MFI. I would easily prefer the Wild Cat over that one any day. It barely even spun. Besides, CP's Wildcat is pretty darn fun.

Theme Parks You Always Think About?
Tanks4me05 replied to sfmmrules!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Seabreeze Darien Lake Sylvan Beach In fact, I made a coaster for each, in NL. For Sylvan Beach, I designed a wooden coaster with Millennium Flyer trains, 92 ft tall, to fit in the parking lot behind Galaxi. For Seabreeze, I made a 150 foot tall custom Eurofighter with a B&M style holding brake on the first drop - designed to either fit in the overflow parking lot, or the land next to the waterpark. For Darien Lake, I'm designing a 170 foot tall dueling B&M flyer (technically Vekoma, but it would be B&M) with independent courses (one has more "lie" positions, while the other one has a cobra roll and a pretzel loop) Slightly off topic - Sören, did you know that a Vekoma Corkscrew is opening at Mirabilanda (the one in Sao Paulo, not Italy) next month? Oh, and if you ever get the chance to go visit the roller coasters in the area, could you please film some videos? Brazilian coaster videos are hard to come by, you know... -Tanks "Ich möchte brasilianische achterbahnen videos sehr viel (ja, Ich weiß ein paar worten auf Deutsch) " 4me05. -
