  1. Firehawk at Kings Island yesterday evening. The red paint on the track is really starting to come off, making the neon green stick out very much. X-Flight isn't going away without a fight.
  2. Yep, great ride. Just rode it, myself, for the first time about 2 weeks ago.
  3. Leaving for Cincinnati in about 30 minutes. I'll be at Kings Island either Monday or Tuesday, can't wait!
  4. I bought it yesterday afternoon, but haven't played it yet. Been packing and getting ready for my trip to Cincinnati to visit my cousin and go to Kings Island. I'll be playing it tonight or tomorrow.
  5. Good to know you still enjoyed the park despite the bad operations. I have to get down there one of these years. Looking forward to the pictures!
  6. The letters work for me in IE7, but not Firefox.
  7. I wouldn't call El Toro a let down, but it wasn't as good as I expected. Still good enough to be my number one wooden coaster (just by a little, though), and the most airtime I have ever experienced on any coaster, but I think I had my expectations for it set a little too high. The wooden coaster that El Toro just beats out for my favorite is the Beast at Kings Island. The Beast is only "OMFG AMAZING!!!" at night, during the day it's just average, in my opinion. El Toro is "OMFG AMAZING!!!" 24 hours of the day, 7 days of the week.
  8. El Toro a few hours ago. The last coaster on my NJ trip. GADV and Dorney are great parks, I'll definitely have to return some day.
  9. Talon at Dorney Park a few hours ago. Just got back to my hotel in time before the thunderstorms hit.
  10. I've been on both and I'd say that Superman is a little bit more snug, but not by much. I wasn't stapled on El Toro and had a good half an inch to an inch of room, whereas I was on Superman. El Toro seems a bit more roomy because the bars are on the side, instead of being a T-bar like that on Superman.
  11. Posting from my hotel in NJ on my dad's laptop. The last coaster I rode was Great White at Morey's Piers a few hours ago. Before today it was Medusa at GADV on Friday night. Can't wait to go to Dorney Park for the first time on Tuesday and GADV again on Monday and Wednesday!
  12. Awesome pictures! I'll be there Friday, can't wait!
  13. At Cedar Point, markings have appeared in the employee parking lot that runs between Disaster Transport and Demon Drop. I got this info from Screamscape.
  14. ^ I'd say Storm Runner, a decent coaster for your 50th. Unfortunately, mine was Canyon Baster at the Circus Circus Adventuredome in Las Vegas. It's definitely one of the better Arrow's I have been on, but still. Regarding the stacking on Maverick, you have to put into perspective that, when running that many trains, you are going to have stacking regardless. A train can't go until the one ahead of it clears the tunnel. Every single one of my 5 rides on Maverick (both this year and last), both trains in the station are loaded and checked before the second train clears the tunnel. They can't really go any quicker than that, the system won't allow it.
  15. Cool TR! I, too, will be riding a B:TR on Friday! Have fun at SFOG, while I will have fun at GADV. They sure are intense and fun rides. That sucks about the quarter, I remember one flying past my head on Superman at SFMM from someone in a row behind me. I'll be at KI in 2 weeks, can't wait!
  16. Awesome coaster! I liked this one too. I'm kinda iffy on the turn before the tophat, but other than that, great job!
  17. I really liked this! Great invert! Intense and all-around fun!
  18. If by original you mean elements I have made on my own and not ones taken from other coasters, then yes. Here is another update. I am just about done with the track work. Maybe some minor tweaks here and there, but other than that, I think it turned out pretty well. I will say this, though, this B&M Hyper is not like traditional ones with tons of airtime hills, it has a few, but I aimed more towards making twists and turns, than making it an airtime machine. Lastly, I will not be using the AHG, because I don't know how to, and I don't terra-form, my style is flat land. I'm trying to get as much done as I can because I'll be away from June 5 to June 18.
  19. It's been a while since I've made a NL coaster, probably around a year. I decided that I am going to make a B&M Hyper this summer. I have yet to pick a name or colors. I'll update the title when I think of a name. Right now I have only a little bit more than the lift hill finished. I'll try and do updates as frequently as I can. Here is a little teaser picture for now.
  20. Nitro at GADV has been down both yesterday and today. There is a rumor that the lift hill chain broke and needs replaced. Hopefully it will be open when I go in about a week and a half.
  21. Cedar Point Park Management -Do Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, and Millennium Force first, as those are currently the most popular coasters and get crowded the quickest. -An enjoyable day consists of starting at Raptor, Blue Streak, Wicked Twister, etc. (the rides at the front of the park) and work your way to the back. -It's been a few years since I have been to Soak City, so I don't really have that much info or tips regarding it, hopefully someone else can add to this. -Cedar Point is completely flat and easy to walk through and maneuver through. There are no stray paths or anything of the sort, it's basically just one big circle. Best Time to Go to the Park -I've never gone after August, but I always go in early May and everything is a walk-on...all 17 coasters, plus their flat rides re doable ina half-day. Up to, I'd say, mid-June there are relatively light crowds on weekdays. -Monday through Thursday are the ideal days to go. -I'd avoid July and August. Food Recommendations -Subway. -Panda Express near Millennium Force's entrance. -Chik-Fil-A near Maverick's exit. -Joe Cool Cafe (great for taking kids) near the new Planet Snoopy. -Diner near Corkscrew's corkscrews. -Toft's Ice Cream Parlor near Demon Drop. -Stuffed Pretzels near Magnum's entrance and Witche's Wheel (Enterprise). -TGI Friday's in the Breakers Hotel. Ride Recommendations -Must-dos are Top thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Maverick, Raptor, Mantis, Wicked Twister, Blue Streak, Magnum XL 200, Gemini, Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Mean Streak, MaXair, Power Tower, and Skyhawk. I will elaborate on some of them. -Top Thrill Dragster - Intamin Strata Coaster. 420 feet tall at 120 MPH. One of the biggest rushes you will ever feel. A must-do for every coaster enthusiast. -Millennium Force - 310 feet tall Intamin Giga Coaster. Another big rush. -Maverick - Intamin Terra Coaster. Packed full of airtime, quick transitions, and a 'surprise' in the middle. -Raptor - A unique B&M Invert that is ranked highly amongst many people. -Mantis - A B&M Stand-up. Unique experience if you have never been on a stand-up. Just remember to brace yourself. -Magnum XL 200 - The first roller coaster to exceed 200 feet. A classic that is filled with airtime. For extra airtime sit in the "ejector seat,"which is the third row. -Gemini - A classic racing coaster. Still smooth as ever and a fun experience. This is one of the few coasters that still takes my stomach. -Skyhawk - The tallest and fastest S&S Screamin' Swing in the world. A great ride where you feel like you are going to fall out onto the people below you looking up. The cycle is a little short, though. -MaXair - Similar to Skyhawk, only you spin slightly so you are in a different position every time you swing. The cycle on this is pretty long, too. Things to do Besides the Park -Challenge Park, which is located right outside the Magnum park entrance gate. They have two 18-hole mini-golf courses, two go-kart tracks, a Rip-Cord, and new for 2008 Skyscraper. -Cedar Point is on a peninsula, so there is a beach.
  22. Awesome GADV pics! I'll be there in about a week! Can't wait!
  23. Makes sense. The reason I ask is because I'd like to use it as my avatar. I'll just wait until they put one on the website.
  24. Cool! Can't wait to get out there and ride my coaster! Any word on a logo yet? There isn't one on their site.
