According to RCDB, the Mummy ride there is supposed to only cost $20 Million, unlike it's counterparts in Orlando and Hollywood that cost $40 Million each. That extra money gives them many more options, no doubt.

Awesome pictures! Great timing considering I JUST returned (literally today) from my Orlando trip. These are really cool. I, too think Super Hero Island/IOA is one of the best (if not THE best) areas and ideas I've seen in ANY park.

My first coaster was the Hulk at IOA on May 3, 2009.

Yes, it's amazing in person! That vertical lift looks very intimidating. I really wish it was open when I was there this past week. Slight update, but nothing different than what's already been said. All week nothing changed, at least one crane was there the entire time, with both being there all but maybe one day. From what it seemed like, the crews are working very diligently and hard all day every day to get this thing completed. Kudos to them. This looks to be one awesome coaster...incentive for me to return some day.

Hopefully the Ducks can beat the Red Wings also.

So, Demon Drop isn't listed under "thrill rides" on Cedar Point's website anymore. It's still there, but you have to go to the whole list of rides to access the DD page. If you click on the random, out of place "Demon Drop" name under thrill rides, it just redirects back to the same page. Website error, or sign of things to come?

To each his/her own, but I'd take Scream at SFMM over a Disney coaster any day. Hell, they could name a coaster Pooperscooper: The Ride, and I wouldn't care less as long as it's a good ride.

Was looking at the FunCam just now and I saw that Wicked Twister still hasn't been fixed and that track is still missing from the top of one spike. Cedar Point opens in a little over 3 weeks. Will it be open in time? Perhaps they are waiting for a new track piece to arrive? Here is a picture. Terrible quality, but if you don't believe me, just go look at the cam yourself.

^ Yeah, I see them every time I go to Cedar Point. I remember when they were building them, that's the first thing I thought too! Here at school there is this smoke stack and huge building. It's used to heat the entire campus by way of coal. Anyway, every once and a while when I'm walking by, it lets out air and doing that sounds EXACTLY like Top Thrill Dragster (or any Intamin rocket with a hydraulic launch, for that matter) when the magnetic brakes are lowered/raised. I smile every time I hear it.

That doesn't mean or prove anything. It's all speculation. Look at Great Bear's funky supports because they couldn't put footers in water...you never know. Also, they caught on to us finding out the park and made the "Customer" part a random code. Whats to say they didn't do the same to the "Part Number?" You can speculate all you want, but right now my and your guess is as good as anyone else's. I used to be like you. I remember in the Maverick thread I posted tons of pictures and deeply analyzed EVERYTHING. All I accomplished by doing that was wasting my time. Now I just sit back, read a few replies, maybe make a couple replies myself, and patiently wait to see what it turns out to be. Changing did me wonders.
