  1. Sorry for the double post, but this is something different: Haha, they just mentioned the possible announcement on an ad for the local news, so it's definitely more than just a rumor. Can't wait until Wednesday!
  2. Something Steelers or Penguins. That probably doesn't help much, especially considering the first preseason game is Thursday. That's just about as good as saying I'll be the person with a t-shirt on. I'll most likely be wearing cargo shorts and a black glasses strap also.
  3. ^ I'm going tomorrow evening too! Hopefully the weather holds up. *knocks on wood*
  4. My friend is 6'4" and he's ridden every major ride at CP without any problem, including Wicked Twister. I'd just advise you to stay away from Wildcat. I'm 6'1" and it jams my knees pretty good...I can only imagine what it would do to you.
  5. The park's owner bought the land for the landing strip back in the 80s. He then decided to do more with the land, and built an amusement park. Up until they built the water park it was a fully functional airport. Now it is just used by the owner and people with prior permission. And I think the park owns something like 750 acres. Yeah, the train ride goes WAAAAAAY the hell back into the woods. Longest amusement park train I've ever been on.
  6. I consider it to be a HUGE factor, and half the experience of a ride. That's why I count relocated coasters as new credits.
  7. -I am red-green colorblind. -I have Pittsburgh Steelers season tickets and have been to every home game since Heinz Field opened. My parents have had their season tickets since the 1970s. I've also been to over 5 away games at Cincinnati (including the playoffs in 2005), and I was at Super Bowl XL. -My mom has Pittsburgh Penguins season tickets and I get to go to a few games every year. -My parents have a place at Pymatuning Lake in Andover, OH (about 10 minutes from Conneaut Lake Park) that we frequently visit during the summer. It's like a gated community with trailers. My dad owns a pontoon boat that I like to go out on. We have 2 golf carts. My parents have one and I have one. Mine has flames painted on and spinner hubcaps. -Along with roller coasters and parks, I also enjoy video games. I own all 3 next generation consoles (Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii).
  8. ^ I think it might be time for a new game.
  9. ^ What I take away from that statement is that they just don't want to set a date in stone only to suffer a setback when that date arrives and the ride remain closed.
  10. Raven could be considered tame because it's pretty short, but Legend and Voyage are VERY far from being tame, in my opinion. Especially those laterals on Legend.
  11. Awesome photo TR!
  12. As do I, but that doesn't mean Cedar Point is a terrible park. It's still a GREAT park and one of the best in the world. If you, or anyone else doesn't think so, then here's a simple solution...don't go to it, or even acknowledge it for that matter! No one is forcing ANYONE to go to, or even talk about parks they hate. Seriously, if one has such a huge grudge against Cedar Point, then why even click on this thread? I always laugh when I see the CP haters pop up in various CP discussions...funny thing is, it's always the same people!
  13. Have fun! For the record, I hate coleslaw, so I always scrape it off the PB sandwich. Makes it a lot better without it, in my opinion.
  14. I decided to try out Goozex. Great site for games you have just sitting around, and it's much better than taking them to Gamestop. With my points, I got Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. It's a fun game, but the graphics aren't that great because it was a launch Xbox 360 title back in 2006. All in all it's an awesome game, though. M:UA2 (along with TONS of other great games) is coming out this fall, can't wait!
  15. All I've heard is that the inspectors cleared it and said nothing is wrong with it. The park still said that there is no time line for it to reopen, so for all we know it could remain closed the rest of the season.
  16. I was there on the 27th and they weren't wrapped up, they must have just done that recently.
  17. I have been on: -Montu -Alpengeist -Raptor -Batman: The Ride (SFMM) -Batman: The Ride (SFGAdv) -Talon -Silver Bullet -Great Bear -Dueling Dragons Fire -Dueling Dragons Ice My favorite is Montu.
  18. Dueling Dragon's is my favorite.
  19. I don't ride kiddie coasters. The credits I do have are from when I was a kid, and I'll only ride if, say my little cousin wants to ride it, but I couldn't care less if I do or don't ride one. I think it's a waste of time. I could be riding something bigger and better instead of a kiddie coaster.
  20. I still thought it was the hardest B&M trim I've ever felt. Not to mention, now that I think about it, we barely slowed down, if at all, at the MCBR, which is kind of strange.
  21. Oh come on, don't exaggerate. It's Kings Island. Did you think they'd build the perfect B&M? Of course not, again..it's Kings Island. It's just a good B&M hyper. I'm so happy we got this far. I'm not, that's the only trim I've ever experienced on a B&M where I've actually jerked forward that much. Usually they are just a light tap. Even Mantis' on the first drop isn't as bad... DB is still a damn good coaster. I gave it a 9/10 on my CF rating. I just thought it was just a normal, cookie cutter B&M Hyper (which isn't a bad thing by any means) with nothing that really stood out or was unique, layout-wise.
  22. My last park of the season before I go 8-10 months without a park or coaster will be Kennywood in the next couple weeks.
  23. It's possible those stairs could be for a MCBR. I would have thought that the lift hill would have some sort of elevator system or bucket on a track, similar to MF.
  24. I found that Nitro had better and more airtime...by a long shot. Nitro is also miles better than Diamondback, in my opinion. Diamondback was very tame and forceless. I barely felt any air on DB and the helices seemed like we were just going in circles aimlessly, whereas on Nitro I could easily feel the blood rushing away from my head. Not to mention the trim brake was on so damn hard it made you jerk forward significantly. Older B&Ms are usually more intense than newer ones, look at any model (invert, floorless, etc.) and that's usually the case.
  25. The front seat on The Voyage yesterday (July 28, 2009). It didn't live up to expectations, but it's still a 10/10 in my book and in my top 5.
