  1. ^ Have you ridden it this year after they re-tracked the first drop and second hill?
  2. That's awesome! While it wasn't THAT bad, it's still cool knowing they listened. Honestly, I could definitely feel the smoothness in transitions on the top of the lift hill and pull up after the straight-away. Not that the Arrow track was rough or anything, but you could definitely tell. I was disappointed when I went through that transition. It's almost worse than Vortex's at Kings Island.
  3. Actually, it does. It's known that 12E is on the side of DT in blue paint. It's on the Carowinds Teaser box in blue paint as well. 12E stands for the 12th coaster themed by Eric B. Clakf or, if you put it all together, it makes EBCLAKF, which is ALSO on the Carowinds Box. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm?entry=f64f6de4-a425-4f1a-a853-5998ec97e3aa Cedar Point is going to re-theme DT and take the world record for "Most re-themings done to one ride."
  4. Yeah me too, I was ready to push up my lap bar and get out, then Imhotep reappeared and I was like, "Oh shi-!" Lame! I was so bored the entire "part that you are talking about that you don't want to spoil for anyone." I'll agree that the ride really isn't thrilling at all, but you still have to give a lot of credit to Universal for the great effects. I say that's one of the worst. Ooohhh, purdy... wait, uh? What's with the coffee? Best? Probably Maverick... No, not that part with Brendan Fraser. I meant the part with the lady behind the screen saying "We hope you enjoyed your ride..."
  5. They said they were going to try to weave it around the new coaster, if that fails then they'll move it to a different area. If you think about it, though, all it is really is a small paved road, so there's really no set layout and the new one could possibly be completely different.
  6. What was that guy saying? Do you want your water bottle back?
  7. My favorite is the Mummy at Universal Orlando. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but let's just say that you think you're done and the ride's over, but it's not.
  8. Ha, Millennium Force's evil counterpart, like Superman and Bizarro (backwards "S" logo).
  9. I wonder if one train will be black and gold to represent that Pittsburgh pride! I know they repainted a Jack Rabbit train black and gold for this season.
  10. Yeah, that Whyte Lightning bit is definitely intriguing.
  11. Here's the Post Gazette article with a computer layout picture. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09224/990324-455.stm
  12. My next park won't be until summer of 2010.
  13. Generally, one lift counts as one block, one block brake counts as one block, and the station counts as a block. Yeah, but SD2K isn't a "general" coaster, it's a unique one with a unique lift hill.
  14. The same was said about Fahrenheit, and it seems to be doing just fine. Also, Back Lot Stunt Coasters (a Premier coaster) use 12 person trains and the line is constantly moving, even when only using 2 trains. There are 3 BLSCs, so this isn't Premier's "first rodeo," if you will. Also, Kennywood isn't a huge park. Some of you act like they are going to be dealing with Cedar Point-type crowds.
  15. I guess theoretically it could, but I don't see why they would do that. The train would have to stop at the top anyway and wait for the other train ahead of it to clear the MCBR.
  16. I read somewhere, and a Kennywood official on the noon news also said that they were going to try to weave it around the new coaster, but if that doesn't work, then it could also be moved to an unspecified new area.
  17. I'm 5'11" and have no trouble fitting on Premier rides. I'm glad someone understood my attempt at a little humor Anyway, how many times do people have to keep posting that the ride will have a name shortly? Can't people read to figure that out? Obviously not considering they keep asking...

  19. I'm 6'2" 215lbs and have no problem with their restraints. I also have a friend that's 6'5" and doesn't have a problem either... I am 5'11 190 lbs, and often walk of premier coasters with cramped legs. I'm 5' 10" 195 pounds and often see a lot of people complain on this site. People complained about their old OTSRs, but I rarely see people complain about the newer lap bars because they are such an improvement over the old OTSRs that were worse than Vekomas and Arrows when it came to headbashing.
  20. I think he means that quick jerk at the top. It's not THAT bad, but I still don't see why Morgan did that to begin with.
  21. WIcked Twister only goes back and forth, with only one train and is still over 9 million. I dont believe one is that much more expensive than the other. WT has a launching system though which are complex and add to the price, if you took it out, it'd cost much less (and not do anything...but that's not the point!) A good example of that is Maverick and Fahrenheit. Virtually the same coaster, but cost is vastly different. Now granted Maverick is almost 2000 feet longer, but I'm sure it's two launches also contributed to it being $9 million more than Fahrenheit.
  22. Maybe you're claustrophobic and your mind's making it seem a lot worse than it actually is? I don't know what else to say. Their restraints are perfectly fine for me.
  23. Unless they're both related to lightning, but not the exact same name.
  24. I'm 6'2" 215lbs and have no problem with their restraints. I also have a friend that's 6'5" and doesn't have a problem either...
  25. I think B&M likes to build things they know are proven and work. Launches are unfamiliar territory for them. I believe that Hulk's launch was done by a completely different company. According to Wikipedia:
