  1. When comparing only layouts and disregarding the roughness, manufacturers, and everything else, I'd have to give the SLC the edge. I like it's layout better than the one on BTR clones. However, because of the companies who build them, and when smoothness, train design, etc. is all taken into account, I think that the BTR clones are FAR superior.
  2. A death on an amusement ride is different than some controversial Halloween displays. Positive or negative, people are still going to go to KI once they hear about it so see what all the commotion is about. Good move by them, I think so. Also, I didn't know the Grim Reaper had chick handwriting!
  3. I agree. Very disappointing. If anyone is looking into buying a Halo game, I'd recommend NOT wasting $60 on ODST and just spending $20-$40 on Halo 3. MW2 is going to blow this game out of the water anyway.
  4. I liked the preview in GamePro also...looking good Robb!
  5. ^ I know it isn't Six Flags, but Dominator was fairly large. I would assume it's going to be a very similar move.
  6. ^ The defense played well...held Forte to 29 yds and 2.2 per carry. It was the offense that needed to step it up. Holmes dropped too many balls, the line didn't make key blocks on 3rd downs, and Jeff Reed missed TWO field goals from not that far away.
  7. Disappointed the Steelers lost. It's a good thing Reed is turning down the Steelers' contract extension offers because he thinks they are "too low." He sure proved that he deserves more money today. Anyway, the Titans are 0-2...see what happens when you mess with the Terrible Towel. And most of you didn't believe me and just mocked me last year!
  8. NHL 10 on Tuesday. Awesome game!
  9. On a different note (sort of, considering it's still the Pats, lol), how about Kerry Rhodes talking smack on the Pats? This should be interesting, and definitely stir things up. Man I love division rivalries! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4480639
  10. Trust me, I know. I read your stadium PTRs all the time (go Canes!), and thoroughly enjoy doing so. By saying what I said, however, I can also give my opinion without anyone automatically slapping the "he's 20 and doesn't know anything, or at least as much as we do about football" label on me. No, not at all. Please read my post again, especially the statement, "I felt as if that needed to be said for my opinion to actually mean something, based on previous comments." Nowhere at all did I say that I know more than anyone else. Like I said, it was simply to make my opinion valid, instead of automatically discarded because of some number below my username on the left. Besides, someone previously used the "you weren't there to watch greats like Montana, Marino, etc. in person, so you don't know what you're talking about" comeback against Boogie, so apparently being there DOES make a difference. I'm just making my posts based on what was previously said. Anyway, I really don't even care for Tom Brady and dislike him a bit, so I'm done defending/discussing him, lol.
  11. You've basically proven our point about the system by mentioning these guys. They were all considered really good players at their position with the Pats, but have done absolutely nothing without that system. Why do you think McDaniels went out and signed Gafney? Because he is perfect for the system. Yeah, Gaffney is doing great and doesn't need a good QB to be successful, that's why he has 3 receptions for 25 yds (long of 21), and Denver could only put up 12 points against the BUNGALS. Take away that fluke last play to Stokely and it's only 6. Brady is unflappable in those situations, but I would suggest you go back and watch video on Elway or Montana. I would watch The Drive, The Drive 2, and one that gets forgotten is Elways last minute drive against Houston in I believe was the 1990 playoffs. It may have been 1991. You could even watch the classic Monday Night Football contest between Elway and Montana. Elway leads a last minute drive only to score too soon and Montana brings the Chiefs back. I believe that was the 1992 or 1993 season. Having to go 45 yards or so in the last two minutes for a FG is not quite as impressive as going the length of the field needing a TD to win the game. I have, many many times, and my statement still stands. Lastly, before all the "you're only 20 years old, and therefore know nothing" posts resurface, I'd like to point out that I have Steelers season tickets, have been to every home game since Heinz Field opened in 2001 (parents have had theirs since the late 60s), which means I've seen Brady play IN PERSON a good 3 or 4 times, have been to away games at Detroit, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis, and was at Super Bowl XL...and that's just NFL. I'm not trying to brag, but I felt as if that needed to be said for my opinion to actually mean something, based on previous comments.
  12. He HAD a "middle of the pack team" in 2001 and he WON THE SUPER BOWL. Look who he was throwing to, Troy Brown and David Patten. Not to mention other positions: Antowain Smith, Bobby Hamilton, Brandon Mitchell, Jermaine Wiggins, Tebucky Jones, etc. That's as "middle of the pack" (if not BELOW average) as you're going to get. Sure their defense was slightly above average, but nothing spectacular...nowhere near to a unit such as, say last years Steelers D. If I could pick ANY quarterback of ALL TIME to lead my team during an attempted 4th quarter comeback drive, I would choose Tom Brady, hands down. That's saying a lot considering I'm a Steeler fan, and stereotypically, Steelers fans hate the Patriots.
  13. I might be playing without Boldin this week and don't have anyone to replace him because all my replacements are playing right now. Brees, however is completely TEARING IT UP for me and making up for no Boldin.
  14. He's an announcer for CBS.
  15. Anyone watch the show "Cake Boss" on TLC? I wonder if he could make a decent coaster cake.
  16. Corkscrew was built in 1979...
  17. Mine is named after Millennium Force, my number one coaster at the time I made the name. It's not my number one anymore (as you can see in my sig), but it still ranks highly with me.
  18. ^ Regarding the post you quoted, not your post...I believe both Skyhawk and MaXair are the tallest and fastest of their kind. 1/3 speed? I doubt it...at least for those two.
  19. ^ I know people that went to Central. I went to Canevin...the school that Tom Clements went to. I got my tickets to the game tomorrow night, can't wait!
  20. It's not "obnoxious" for someone to have an opinion that differs from yours. What's "obnoxious" is how some people state their opinions--see example quoted above. I've never been to Cedar Point, so I have no opinion on the park one way or the other (looking forward to visiting next spring, though). I think what coolcalicoaster was getting at was that there are the people who have world class parks like CP in their back yard, yet they still complain about the littlest things, and are extremely picky. I find that kind of annoying, especially considering the fact that there are people who would give anything to go to a park such as CP and just can't, whether it be because they are too far away, can't afford it, etc.
  21. Kennywood already has a ride themed to its history. If you mean the train, that's themed to the history of the area, really, not the park. Besides, the same spiel has been used on that train for as long as I can remember. I'm talking about history of THE PARK, like their past rides, and maybe an explanation of all the traditions or something. Not some spiel about George Washington, and some giant guy who can bend steel with his bare hands... Uh dude, they rethemed it this year. It's all about Kennywood now. I meant maybe have working models of things and be more visually elaborate, instead of a few "billboards" with old black and white pictures on them, and some monotone voice saying "*insert ride name here* used to be in this spot" and such.

  23. I think it would be neat if, instead of being scary, they'd make it into a ride that tells you the history of the Old Mill, and the entire park, for that matter. I guess sort of the same concept as Hershey's chocolate ride...pretty much Museum: The Ride.
  24. I used to be picky with parks (hence my post on the previous page ), but I'm not anymore. I like every single park I go to, to be completely honest. I only have around a 3 or 4 month window when I can go to parks, and a good 9 to 10 months where I can't, so i make the most of it when I go to a park, and just enjoy the fact that I'm at a park.
