  1. My buddies and I quote Family Guy ALL THE TIME. I could go on for days. Stew-roids is one of the best episodes. "I've got veins, that carry blood all over mah bahdy...that's how John Mayor says it, bahdy. I'm really into him now, SO YOU BETTER BE OK WITH IT!!!" When Stewie has Brian at the top of the stairs, moving back and forth, not letting him pass, going "Oop, oop, oop, oop, oop." Other various ones I like: Stewie after Lois throws up over boat railing - "Uh ho ho! Brian's eatin' it." The whole Family Feud segment is hilarious. "You better watch your mooouuuuuuth mister." "There's a half-dead fat guy eating a dead fat guy. I guess we're just going to look the other way on this one." "Grasp the base of your tail with your index finger and thumb..." "You are so weird man!' "COOL HWHIP!" Quagmire saying giggidy to the Jaws theme.
  2. Back in 2006 when I made this name, I was obsessed with Millennium Force. Not so much anymore, but I still love the ride.
  3. I bought Windows 7 Ultimate for $15 from my college's bookstore, and upgraded from XP Media Center Edition that came on my computer when I bought it in 2006. All-in-all I like it so far. It's not "OMFG AMAZING!" by any means, but in the same regard it's not bad at all for only $15.
  4. I got NBA 2K10 from Best Buy for $30.99 after using a coupon BB sent in the mail, and a $5 RZ cert I had laying around. Great buy if you're into the NBA. It's only $39.99 and really fun! They even have a dunk competition, street ball, 3pt shootout, and more.
  5. Regardless, Space Spiral doesn't really take up that much area, and navigating a new attraction around it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult, or at least it seems.
  6. I have never felt a ride was unsafe or anything, but there have been a few instances where some rides did their job and terrified/thrilled me to the max: -Superman: Ultimate Escape/Steel Venom at Geauga Lake - It was the first time I experienced a holding brake...it felt as if I were going to fall right out. Ironically, I rode Voodoo (Possessed now) at Dorney in 2008, but I didn't have that feeling at all the second go-around...strange, probably because I already knew what to expect. -X-Flight at Geauga Lake. I had never ridden anything like that. Again, thought I was going to fall right out. Tatsu was a good one also. Definitely a different experience from a Vekoma flyer...especially since Tatsu is so big. -Deja Vu - I didn't know what to expect going into this one. I LOVE that feeling of all your weight against the restraint while climbing up the spike backwards. -X - My current number one coaster and best first drop ever, in my opinion. Those who have ridden it (and enjoyed it) know what I am talking about. A lot of wooden coasters do that. I've been noticing that for years. I'm not an expert, so don't quote me on this, but I believe it has to do with the train's momentum. The brakes close and stop the train before it's momentum is completely stopped, thus it being slightly in the air still. If anything, that relieves me, not worries me, knowing that those brakes are strong enough to suspend a car (probably multiple) in the air without any give whatsoever.
  7. I've seen worse. I couldn't care less how a ride looks...as long as it is a good ride. You really think they don't know what they are doing and are just going to leave the rail bare metal, and exposed to rust?
  8. I'm not small by any means (6'2" and over 200 lbs), and have never had any problems on Maverick regarding my legs. I consider Maverick to have fairly comfortable seats and restraints. This is coming from someone who can't even ride Wildcat at CP because it has little to no leg room whatsoever, and whose knees are jammed into the seat in front. I think I305's restraints will be just fine. And if someone doesn't like them or has a problem with them, then here's a tip...don't ride it!
  9. What are you talking about "hardly runs anymore?" The Space Spiral runs all the time...
  10. That's when I went last year and everything was open, operational, and ran the entirety of the week just fine. So as far as that goes, you should be fine. I'd just monitor HP and when it is scheduled to open if you plan on going then, as the person I quoted said also.
  11. I agree. I don't know how accurate this is, but according to Wikipedia (Link to Wiki Page), the "cost" of X/X2 is $46,000,000. That's a hell of a lot of money for a coaster...even by Universal's and Disney's standards, let alone Six Flags'. 4D coasters seem like money pits to me. They are AWESOME coasters (as you can see in my sig, X is my all-time favorite steel), but as you said, it's definitely not something I'd expect to see being built every couple years, and taking off. But who knows, maybe S&S has come on to something in the last few years, refining the design or something like that, that has lowered the cost. It's really neat that a new one IS being built, though. Even though I'll never ride it, I can't wait to follow it's progress!
  12. Is it just me, or does that track piece on the far left of the first picture look to be part of one extreme transition?! Looks awesome!
  13. ^ Wasn't that scrapped right after the accident?
  14. After riding TTD, KK, Xcelerator, Storm Runner, etc., no, there really isn't much 'whiplash,' but Superman is still a fun ride regardless. I hink it would be awesome if they were to 'Bizarro-ify' it.
  15. I remember when I was there a few years ago, I actually couldn't find it for a good bit and was starting to get a tad frustrated, lol.
  16. The Pittsburgh Pistons? http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10035/1033328-53.stm
  17. Maverick was $21 million, not 24. What about a coaster like Fahrenheit? That was only $12.1 million. If the Thanksgiving expansion was $13 million, then Fahrenheit is well within their range. Or perhaps a coaster like the new one Kennywood is getting this year? Sky Rocket from Premier Rides. There are many other options for crowd-pleasers besides a $20+ million Intamin or B&M.
  18. Hmm, I had the chance to go there last year, but chose to go to Holiday World instead. I still probably wouldn't choose differently knowing that they were going to close, because that was probably my first and only time I'll ever get to go to HW, but it's still sad to see parks close. I wonder if that accident hadn't happened, would things be different?
  19. Ha, if anything it looks like a spoiler on a top fuel dragster. Yeah, I remember going up there before we set sail and thinking to myself that it was a lot less than I had expected. I was only 12 at the time, so I wasn't allowed up there once we set sail and operations began, but I'm sure I wasn't really missing anything. I remember having to cut through the casino to get to the movie theatre, and being only 12, I thought I was so cool walking through there.
  20. I've only been on 2 cruises. I was on the Disney Magic in 1998, and the Golden Princess in 2001. I am well overdue for another one. I like Princess cruises. That cruise in 2001 was a blast. Disney Magic: Golden Princess:
  21. Yeah, it happens on Nitro also.
  22. ^ Perhaps because it's a launched coaster, and sometimes they tend to be very temperamental and "picky," if you will...especially ones with top-hats.
  23. Yes, it's a law. This applies at a lot of workplaces. For example, minors are also not allowed to operate forklifts, trash compacters, and other various heavy machinery.
  24. As others have said, sounds like anti-rollbacks to me. As someone else has said, Griffon makes the same noise.
  25. Yeah I know, I'm not saying it's going to start tomorrow, but at the same time, you don't necessarily have to have every single footer poured to start putting up steel.
