  1. Funland in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware just removed theirs, I wouldn't be surprised if it was that one.
  2. For a minute I was going to say that was King Cobra track but it has a square end piece.
  3. Playland in Rye has a Wipeout and they have for some time now.
  4. Luckily the storm destroyed most of the flat rides so Six Flags doesn't have to do that themselves. Just throw up some smoking area signs and that place is ready to go tomorrow.
  5. Millennium Force puts them both to shame (I think Raptor does too but I'm in the minority) but Maverick takes this one. A lot of people think maverick is rough but I'm 6,4 so it really didn't bother me. Top Thrill is cool but too short of a ride to compete with Maverick.
  6. lol Six Flags is not the victim here, they didn't apply for the proper permits and decided to build anyway. The town should be giving them a hard time.
  7. Holy crap, does anyone remember the Katies World scenario from RCT1? They had a mine train coaster that had 2 lifts, the first one built into the terrain, then a lift with a huge slow turn in the air and a crazy second half where it even does a pretzel through a bridge like this ride. That ride absolutely must have been modeled after this. ... the fact that I remember that is sad, but if anyone has it installed (I don't) go take a look at it and tell me if I'm way off with this one.
  8. Because 99% of the people in the park don't know there are other Batman rides.
  9. Tell Mr. Shapiro to take those new vehicles he's getting over to Home Depot, and get some rocks to put under Scream, then cut a line in the pavement around the perimeter, plant some trees and you're good. Seriously though, he knows his marketing. When he brings in flat rides he's going to bring in marketable flat rides. That way he only needs to build one a year and it will get people in the park.
  10. OMG YES!!!! Awful Pizza but if you don't have the cheese Pizza you don't even know it's supposed to be Pizza. I love that place. And for CHILLERLC1 there is a Dunkin Donuts outside the park now so you can just go ahead and order a large hot caramel latte with whipped cream and no sugar. If you look at it as a 3.25 cup of Coffee then it's not a great way to save money, but if you look at it as "3.25 for the greatest thing ever" it becomes a bargain. Oh, and for anyone else that's from new York and goes to GADV, FILL YOUR GAS TANK BEFORE YOU LEAVE NJ!!!
  11. Would it be feasible to turn one of the cars around on Superman? It might bring a new interest to the ride and you could actually appreciate the height of the ride when you're at the top.
  12. Abandoned park... no security... old wooden building... Sounds like arson to me.
  13. Home park: Six Flags Great Adventure Fav. Ride: El Toro, Absolutely Amazing. That being said my sentimental (and second) favorite is Medusa.
  14. Can't go wrong with Millennium Force, El Toro or Superman in New England.
  15. Can I ask a stupid question? I'm not as into the coaster thing as I used to be but... what's the big deal? Nobody is going to turn it into condos, nobody is changing anything next year, they said that they were going to keep everything the same (and why not if it's profitable?) This seems like a minor news story and if you didn't hear about it, you probably wouldn't even notice a difference at the park. Did I miss something?
  16. They better not build anything too big or it will really destroy the view from the right field seats at Keyspan park.
  17. Coney Island is really ghetto and crappy. Anything is an improvement.
  18. This park used to be great, but it's like they specifically picked the nicest parts of it, and by only removing a few rides, managed to turn it from a Beautiful park with a beautiful ferris wheel, a spider, the log flume, and chaos ride into an ugly crappy park. And then, they put in Wiggles world in place of Tiny Timber Town, which turned one of the nicest (non commercialized) kiddy areas in the chain into the ugliest thing I have ever seen.
