  1. You need to get some more guests in your park. Every screenshot lately the place looks empty. I'm nit-picking... from a design standpoint, this is the best park I've ever seen!
  2. It looks like they did. I noticed that Tony Hawk's Big Spin is now just "Big Spin".
  3. While we're talking about favorite coasters...I was actually a fan of Vulture, I loved the shot of it going over the water ride. CD5 showed it when the ride was new and when it was being dismantled so I know he liked it too. Can we get a picture from that angle now? Just curious. Also, did Derecho get it's landmark status yet? Now that Vulture is gone, my favorite coaster (from a design perspective) is probably Batman... I love the que, you made it look so real. If I were a guest in the park though I'm SURE Superman would be my favorite.
  4. Words cannot describe how insane this thing looks. That extreme overbank turn looks like something out of a Tim Burton film.
  5. I'm loving this thread right now. Another day of getting nothing done at work thanks to TPR.
  6. lol I don't want to beat a dead horse so I'll just say Thanks to Robb and everyone else for the insane amount of lol's I got in this thread. I didn't see the pictures but there's nothing more annoying than when people watermark pics that have no value anyway. Keep rockin the Comic Sans Wes.
  7. Wow, I was not expecting this. I'm very impressed though, I like it much better than a Rocket Coaster (which I was SURE it was).
  8. Steel - Millennium Force, SFNE is my home park and I love Superman / Bizzaro... but MF is on a different level. But just so I don't sound like a CP fanboy... Magnum is the most overrated coaster on earth and TTD sucks. Wood - El Toro, I thought about picking Phoenix but El Toro is just too amazing. lol
  9. Obviously I can only rank the ones that I've ridden, in order... 1 - Medusa / Bizzaro (Love this ride) 2 - Batman Night Flight / Dominator (Haven't ridden it at KD) 3 - Hydra - The Revenge (This ride is almost too smooth / Force-less) 4 - Batman the Dark Knight (SFNE) (I don't know what it is about this ride but it does nothing for me)
  10. Yet another picture with nobody in Bugs Bunny National Park. I hope the next expansion (after the rumored rocket coaster) helps to stimulate guest flow in that area.
  11. Interesting, I guess this coaster is going to be taller than Ka since it's opening in the same year and being marketed as the "biggest" and the "best".
  12. I'm pretty excited about this ride, it's just a very original layout.
  13. Has anyone ever heard of the "Wild Wind" roller coasters? I live near Playland Park in Rye, NY. And in 2000 they had this coaster fully constructed. Right when it was about to open, they tore it down. After searching it on RCDB, I found that it was moved to Keansburg Amusement Park and then to Motor World in Virginia Beach. It never opened in ANY of the 3 parks and was most likely scrapped. G forces found in testing were too extreme. Apparently only four were ever built. One was the one I mentioned above, another went to a park in South Korea who also never opened it and then it was moved to Fill Land (also in South Korea) where it still operates today. Another went to Tunisia where it still operates, and another is currently operating in Venezuela. I guess the standards are not as high in these countries as they are in the United States (although one South Korean park built it and never opened it). The real kicker, is that they are still being sold by Interpark. Here is a link to the brochure which is in Italian but has some great pictures of this sick looking death machine. And here is the "Wild Wind Strengths" page. The only operating model that has photos on RCDB is the one in Tunisia (The Middle East). The Sidewinder is hidden in this shot so this doesn't look so bad. Look at this death element. lol Here are some photos from the manufacturers web site. ... and here is a video. It's a short ride, but apparently either the Sidewinder, the Helix or both create extremely unsafe G forces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui6s7KUPtb0 Because of the bad press this had at my home park, I've always been interested in the Wild Wind coasters. I can't think of any other model that found itself at 8 different parks and half of them never even saw one rider. There were some traveling versions as well, but I can't find any information on them.
  14. I'm also surprised that they released a POV at all but I agree that that video is awful. Six Flags really needs some help with their video marketing material between that shaky POV and the No Limits videos they used for Green Lantern at SFGADV.
  15. I'm going to be totally unoriginal and say Knoebels.
  16. That's a good point. On one hand, you're so close to Folly Beach (and a ton of other beaches) that people may not want to pay to go to a waterpark, but if it's included with theme park admission it could be a hit. SC get's unbearably hot in the summer. (Okay am I over thinking this RCT3 park? lol... sorry I'm into this).
  17. Great job! 3DS max is a really tough program to use. I could NEVER have done anything like that.
  18. I love this park. You and I have very similar styles of park operation. I hate when people build realistic parks and give no thought whatsoever to guest flow. I love seeing long, full lines and trains that actually wait to leave the station (like in real life). Usually people leave the rides as 10 second dispatches so trains are empty, rides are empty and the ride operation is extremely unrealistic. I usually go for the TV's in the lines because when the park gets bigger I want more mechanics and handymen and don't want to waste staff spots on entertainers. Your method looks much more appealing though. One small suggestion... how about some lights for the Calamity Express line? I think it would get awfully dark lol. Keep up the great work!
  19. Is it just me or does Bugs Bunny National Park look totally dead? Maybe they need a new attraction to get some guests over there. And I think the new attraction is a rocket coaster. Kingda Ka opened in 2005 also so it wouldn't be out of the question for Six Flags to be considering adding 2 in the same year. "What flies towards the sky and dives down to the ground" and "It's fast. It's tall. Get ready." Sounds like a rocket coaster to me. Hopefully it proves to be more reliable than Ka and TTD in their inaugural seasons or Six Flags South Carolina could have some egg on their face. The only thing that's making me hesitate is that vulture had a bigger footprint than a rocket coaster would. What else would it be though? Six Flags has never purchased a dive machine, and I don't think flyers are known for being tall and fast.
  20. I'm not a fan of flyers, but you're probably right. I'd have rather seen Vulture stick around... but it was showing it's age.
  21. I'd be interested in downloading it for sure.
  22. Hello. I've been out of the RCT loop for years, but this park got my attention and yesterday I read through the whole thread. I LOVE the way you're doing this park as a timeline. I actually get attached to some of the rides and am sad to see them go. lol. Keep up the awesome work! It's making me want to go out and get a copy of RCT3.
