apollo210 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 ^CwoA has 3 coasters: Dragon's Fury, Vampire, and Rattlesnake.
IceDragon Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 ^CwoA has 3 coasters: Dragon's Fury, Vampire, and Rattlesnake. oh yeah... lol. Dragons Fury wasnt open last time we went, missed it out completely still need a new rollercoaster though
nitral Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 None of the "paramount" parks have announced anything for 2007. URGH !!! I want PCW to get something new. I hope they remove Dragon Fyre because it really sux and hurts !
ScottBrown Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 PGA needs a new coaster to replace the abundance of rides that have been removed - Thinking about it since I don't count the mouse as a major coaster Invertigo would be the last major coaster the park kept - The last major full circut coaster would be Top Gun - the park needs a new large coaster and to keep it not a wave pool
niiicolaaah Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 ^^^Dragon's Fury is amazing. Go ride it. ^^I seriously doubt any of the former Paramount parks will get a new coaster for 2007, unless Cedar Fair started planning waaaay ahead of time!
Schmoofy Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Knoebels is building Flying Turns, yeah, that was supposed to be for 2006, but whatever. They had a steel (Whirlwind) and it was really bad. They need a new steel for 2007, if they have funds after Flying Turns..
vjgx Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Knott's needs a new coaster, seeing as its the one park near me that I can actually afford to go to more than once a year... Preferably, a B&M hyper coaster. But then again... that sure as heck wouldn't fit.
weatherkid17 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Six Flags Great America could TOTALLY use a new one. Their latest one was Ragin Cajun in 2004 (it turned out okay, more like a car crash than a roller coaster) Whizzer and Demon are getting VERY old and they should put a B&M or woodie in their place. I've also heard rumors that Iron Wolf has been repainted, but my question is WHY?!?? It's a terribly rough coaster and no one really rides it anymore. to IRON WOLF!!! Uhh, there are other Six Flags parks that need more recent coasters. SFGAM got Deja Vu and V2 in 2001, Superman in 2003, and Rajun Cajun in 2004, so dont complain. SFFT not since 2000-Superman Krypton Coaster SFOT not since 2001- Titan (And superman tower of power is not a roller coaster) SFSTL not since 2000- The Boss
thomas2 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Though I've never been there, I think Nagashima Spa Land really needs a new coaster. There latest addition is from 2000 (SD2K duh) and the ride before that one was from 1996. So I'd like to see them get a new ride.
Tmcdllr Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Pga really needs one. Their latest newsletter says the new attraction for 2007 "is sure to make waves."
asr Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Pga really needs one. Their latest newsletter says the new attraction for 2007 "is sure to make waves." If it is a coaster, great, good for you, you could use one, but with a teaser like that, I bet it's a water ride or waterpark attraction. One park that could really use a new coaster is Canobie Lake. However, they are getting a Huss Frisbee and new entrance for 2007, and there are rumors of a waterpark expansion in 2008, so i'm doubting it will be anytime soon. But heres hoping to a GCI twister like Thunderbird at Powerpark in 08 or 09.
kraxleRIDAH Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 SFMM needs one in 2007. They have to step it up after Tatsu. 17 roller coasters is NOT enough. Once they make the 25th coaster mark, then they can start focusing on landscaping, infrastructure, employee discipline, etc. [/yeah right] On a more serious note...I would like to see a new coaster at Geauga Lake or Michigan's Adventure.
HCOSurfer90 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 ^I read that and I was like, you're kidding right? Then I realized you were haha. I really think that SFFT deserves a new coaster. I mean their last coaster was built 6 years ago and they really do deserve a new one.

If SFMM could keep 25 good rollercoasters operating, enthusiasts would be foaming at the mouth. And I kinda doubt Geauga Lake has much of a chance, nobody ever goes there, and it is so close to Cedar Point.
Milkchan Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 Michigan's Adventure is the one park who definitely needs a big coaster. Its been 8 long years since Shivering Timbers. But they ended up taking out a few rides and not putting something new in ?.
Reality15 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 What did they take out? Chaos? Ummm... yeah, I think we all know why that's gone. To be honest, I honestly don't think Michigan's Adventure needs another coaster yet anymore. What they've done the past two years with Funnel of Fear and Grand Rapids have done SO much for the park. SO much. I talked with Camille Jourden-Mark on closing day, and she said this has been their best season ever as far as how the public is enjoying the park. So, I'm going to take my Michigan's Adventure statement from a few pages ago back and now just stick with Fun Spot, who could benefit from puting in a good woodie like Beech Bend did.
goleafsgo Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 PCW... They will be one of the best parks in the world (maybe), if they get a B&M looper or an Itamin hypercoaster/accelerator. They havent got a 'real' coaster since... the 90s?
ScottBrown Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Pga really needs one. Their latest newsletter says the new attraction for 2007 "is sure to make waves." Think Wavepool
Tmcdllr Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Unfortunately, that would be super-ultra-lame.
BDG Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Europe: - Bellewaerde (latest & greatest is an '84 Boomerang) - Parc Astérix (needs a new crowd puller, maybe time to replace Goudurix (1989)) - HolidayPark (a replacement for Superwirbel (1978)) USA: - SF Fiesta Texas (fill the empty space where Joker stood) - Kings Island (could use a decent, modern looper) - Las Vegas maybe
Calaway Park Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Calaway Park and Galaxyland [i'm sure they could fit it in there somehow, they had a first generation Intamin freefall in there... they just replaced it.. They could do what they did with Autosled, make it weave through the park. Maybe a launched coaster to weave through the other rides. Calaway Park should get a B&M hyper.
Airtime&Gravity Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 There are several parks that should get new coasters: Moreys Piers-maybe a small launched coaster like Lagoon IOA-Maybe a woodie SFOT-B&M flyer SFFT-coaster for 07 SFSTL-coaster for 07 Adventureland(Iowa) PKI-B&M invert SFGAM-a large looper to replace Shockwave Mt. Olympus-no rerideable coaster since Zeus SFKK-anything will be good Great Escape-maybe a wild mouse
apollo210 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 ^ Great Escape will add an SLC next year! Oh Joy !
Tmcdllr Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Is it too early to know what is going on for PGA for 2007?
